Stay away!! Let me tell you why. I'll start by saying this stay was booked by my employer. I am a Hilton Diamond member so, maybe my standards are higher but, for a Hilton property, too many little things that could have been avoided and are not typical of a Hilton property. When checking in there wasn't a luggage carrier available. When I asked the Fri t desk person she said 'guests usually don't return them to the checkin but, I did see one in the parking lot'. So, she KNEW there was one outside BUT, didn't go and get it to make it available. I had to go out in 95 degree temp to retrieve it. Poor. I checked in with my cat and told them I would not require housekeeping as I didn't want any issues. The very first morning housekeeping knocked on my door at 9am (I work until after midnight) waking me up. Clearly there isn't any communication between the desk and housekeeping. If I wasn't there, they would have come in and who knows what happens with my animal. I came down for breakfast (sit down and order taken and wasn't cheap). I sat for 10 mins and no one came to take my order. I had to go back to the desk and ask them if they could send a server to take my order. Mind you, I did hear them talking in the back kitchen area. Here is where it gets unacceptable. I took the prefer to go and, when I got to my room and removed the lid from my oj, there were fruit flies floating on it! One actually flew away. I was able to speak to the GM and let him know the whole story. I had then comp the food as I lost my appetite. I ran out of lotion in the bathroom on the 3rd day (I was staying just over a week) and asked the housekeepers in the hallway to refill it. Did that a few times and finally asked the front desk to tell them to do it as I was told there was a language barrier by the GM. Never happened. Poor. My last day I went down to get coffee (the one consistent good thing) and it wasn't there! Was told by the desk (same person from my checkin) that the GM decided they weren't offering free coffee anymore. A few things here. Being a corp location, that decision isn't his to make and, if you are having profit issues and think removing the free coffee is going to help you, it's time to rethink your leadership skills. I extended my stay, paid and when I returned at 1am from a long work day, my key didn't work. I had to walk all the way around to the front to have it reactivated. So, you'd think when I extended my stay they would set the key up to work properly. Nothing like having to make that walk at 1am in the rain. Last thing, I realized I had left some dress slacks in the drawer I called the next day and the person who I spoke to told me to call back the next morning. Terrible attitude and zero help. When I called the next morning, I was told there was a whole checklist in place that is followed so, it wound have been found when they cleaned the room. I asked if they could go and look as I was 100% positive I left them in the drawer. Never called me back and I'm sure they are still in the drawer. It was the lack of empathy that bothered me. My review is based on the service as I think the room was fine. The jacuzzi jets didn't work but, minor. Don't stay here if you are expecting a Hilton level of service. Just too many service issues that could/should have been avoided. read more

Nice hotel not far from Philadelphia. At least that was the reason I stayed here. Plenty of parking and big lobby area as well. Nice staff and the breakfast was good as well. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was also a decent gym too which is nice as I like to use the gym at some point. There's an indoor pool as well . I would definitely stay here again when back in the area. read more

This property was the final night of our week long trip in the north east. We were staying on a Tuesday night. The parking in the front was full but there was ample parking in the back as well as an entrance there. However, the door at the entrance was malfunctioning slightly and had to be opened just the right way. We explored the area and enjoyed both an ice cream shop and a bakery nearby. Our room was ok. There was signs of wear and tear but nothing really egregious. The biggest detraction was the next morning when we were getting ready. My aunt left the bathroom saying that she couldn't get the shower to work. I went to check and sure enough, there was a hole in the back of the showerhead. A small bit of water was coming out of the front of the shower head while the rest poured out the back. Looks like we weren't taking showers (unfortunately as we had a long car ride ahead of us). I went to the front desk on our way out. It appears the air conditioning was out in the lobby (unfortunate during a scorcher of a summer). I let the front desk agent know that the shower in our room wasn't functioning and that they might not want to check anyone in to that room again. She asked if I had submitted a report yesterday (I hadn't). She looked in their system, found the report for our room, and said she'd add an additional note. I walked away wondering why we got checked into a room with a known malfunction. Alas, with plenty of other hotel options in the area, I won't be returning to this one. read more

Raggedy hotel. Please don't stay here. I switched to another room and both had blood-stained pillows. Why are so many people leaking? The overall cleanliness of the hotel was appalling, and it felt like proper hygiene was not a priority. The staff seemed indifferent to the issues I raised, and there was a general lack of maintenance throughout the property. I was genuinely shocked by the state of the rooms. If you're looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. This hotel does not meet basic standards, and I regretted my decision to book a stay here. Our experience could have been so much better if the hotel employee at the front desk would have been honest. She lied to us about check in. And lied to us about putting us far from a group of young teens. This was our experience: Called at 1pm to see if we could get an early 2pm checkin. First, I was put on hold for 5 minutes. Thinking I was forgotten, I called back. Then I was on hold for 13 more minutes. Front desk finally answered and said "Yes, rooms are available for early check in at 2pm." We arrived exactly at 2pm and the same employee said there were NO rooms available yet and told us we're 4th in line for a room. We waited in the lobby until 2:50pm before getting a turn. We asked if we could have a room away from the young group of rambunctious hockey team of boys who rearranged half of the lobby's tables and chairs so they could hit balls with a hockey stick as their parents ignored their behavior. No clue why this employee would allow that disruption. At our request, this front desk lady said she would put us in a room away from this group. We got into our room at 2:58pm. To our amazement, we soon discovered this female employee not only put on the same floor, but also only two rooms away from these boys. See video. Our room was lovely and comfy. But at 10:15pm we were disrupted by boys running down hall, slamming doors, speaking loud as we tried to sleep. Called front desk at 11:09pm who was now a male employee who took the situation very seriously and said he would go upstairs to take care of it. Then peaceful silence. Enjoyed the cleanliness of our room. Wonderful water pressure. Liked the coffee and microwave in our room! Yes, I'd return. But it's amazing how a bad employee can make a difference. read more

This has been in the past out usually place to stay when getting back to New Jersey, as family is in this area and it is a great location right off the turnpike exit. Last stay, raised a little doubt though as there seemed to be more of a smoky feel around the hotel and in the room even so we had to get some Febreeze. Nothing bad enough for us wanting to leave, but definitely seemed like a down step from where they usually are. Has a bar that opens in the evenings, and a good area for the mornings. Lots of places around though will door dash and the pool, hotel and gym still seem to be okay. read more

Not a bad place to stay. It was clean, the people were nice, and the breakfast was good. My only complaint was with the bathroom. There was no exhaust fan in there and the mirrors got all foggy. The shower head, the water didn't come out wide enough no matter how I adjusted it. I don't know if other hotels have this or not, they should have had small bottles of mouth rinse in the bathroom. read more

Had come into town for a wedding and this was one of the hotels that they had a block of rooms at. The lobby was clean and looked fine when we arrived. The front desk staff was also very friendly. We went up to our room and it smelled of cigarettes. I didn't know if we had to specify that we wanted a non-smoking room, but the smell was really overbearing. Everything else in the room seemed fine, although there were a lot of random marks on the wall. The breakfast was not continental and it was $10.99 a person. The bar was also closed, but they said they could give us beer if we wanted. If we weren't in the block of rooms at a lower price, I'm not sure it would have been worth it to stay here. It was relatively close to Philadelphia (about 30 mins) and there was a lot of malls and shopping plazas around us. read more

Would not recommend this place and won't be staying here again. My partner is the one who booked the hotel and personally I would've avoided this hotel from the get go based on the reviews alone. It wasn't the worst experience on earth but it wasn't very comfortable or pleasant either. The bed felt like sleeping on a pile of bricks, things seemed like they were attempted to be cleaned but failed. The bathroom soap made my hands sticky and something about the air felt like it was burning my lungs. I had to go outside multiple times for fresh air otherwise I was congested and had a headache that didn't have any other logical causes. The elevators smelt really bad and for the price it's hard to complain but I know holiday inn cost nearly the same and is 10x better. There's also a Staybridge a little further away on the more expensive side but I've never had a bad experience there. read more

Okay HGI. Room was decent size and clean although the bathroom was a little beat up. Fitness center had enough equipment but it was way too warm in their both days I stayed. Breakfast offering was standard and the servers were all pleasant. read more

Bed super comfortable. This place isn't new, but for the money this is a good choice. Some of the clientele is loud, but that's not the hotels fault. A cheaper place nearby would be worse. Curtains torn stains on the curtains , carpets need cleaned , toilet barely flushes, faucet is so close to the edge of the sink my hands barely reach under the water , very disappointed! I was here for one night and the room was very poorly cleaned before I arrived. It shouldn't have passed even if it was pre-Covid times. Both bed sheets had stains, a sticker and fortune cookie was stuck to a clean folded towel and the shower drain plug was stuck close. Stayed here to go to Diggerland, figured we'd spend down time at the pool since everything else around here is closed - but nope, the pool is closed and no mention of that on the website. They still have breakfast but definitely not the best. I was hoping for a hot buffet breakfast, it's all cold foods (cereal, muffins, yogurt) except premade jimmy delight sandwiches that are wet and mushy in the package from the steam. Thankfully they have bagels and muffins you can toast, I replaced the mushy one with a bagel. The gym has to be "reserved" in one hour increments, one per person. Paid full price for a hotel room for a couple nights with subpar amenities that were not mentioned on the site before booking - should really update this!! I would have stayed elsewhere had I known. read more

Not the best not the worst. Our room smelled like smoke but not too bad. Once the AC got started the smell was bearable. The employees we interacted with were very nice. The main lobby was very nice. Our bathroom needed a really good deep cleaning around the tub. We only spent one night. We did not get a chance to use the pool or anything else. Our room was on the first floor and the shades did not cover the entire window and some cuts were in the shade. I would stay here again if in the area. read more

Establishment was clean. Front desk is friendly. The hotel is located about 25-30 minutes outside of Philly. The hotel gym is very nice. It has all the equipment you will need to get a full body workout. Don't like the gym? Well there is a swimming pool which is about 5ft deep. If you are looking for relaxation, there is also a hot tube. I stayed in the winter and unfortunately, the hot water for the tube never got hot. I reported to the front desk when I left. The only reason that I am scoring this hotel 3 stars was because the drain in the shower was stopped up and no one came to resolve this issue after placing a call to the front desk. Otherwise, EVERYTHING else was GREAT!! The bed was EXTRAORDINARILY AMAZING and even though the room was a medium to small size, the desk area was very smartly put together, as well as the bed placement and comfort was FANTASTIC. BEST night sleep that I have had since I can remember. There are MANY varieties of restaurants in the area. There is a fitness center, a pool and a JACUZZI! Everything was very neat and clean and smelled GOOD.... no musty odors at all. Well lit and NICE decor! It is NOT on a main highway or busy intersection, but you are close enough to the malls and expressway and turnpike and EVERYTHING is VERY conveniently located. I was very happy with my stay and the bathroom was teak and nonslip and the towels were luxurious. I would stay again for the price, but heed my warning, maybe someone's child put a lego down the drain. haha read more

This hotel is obviously not supportive of breastfeeding Moms and Dorothy was very unnecessarily rude about it. When a breastfeeding mother asks for a room to pump in, even if it's just a closet of some sort, for no more than 20 minutes she is told to pump in the bathroom. You're telling me that you all expect mothers to prepare their child's food (which is what breastmilk is) in the bathroom? Where people pee and crap all day every day? How about this. If you would ever in a million years prepare or eat your food in a disgusting bathroom, give this review a big ole like. And then, post a picture in the commens of you doing so just to prove it! I will never in a million years use this hotel (heck, I'll never use the chain as a whole again) until thus situation is fixed and I will make sure everybody I know is aware of the despicable stance this hotel has on breastfeeding. read more

I booked a 2 night stay online on their website with no issue and received a confirmation. When I arrived after a 5 1/2 hour drive, the manager told me the price I booked was incorrect and was trying to charge another $60 more per night. When I told him I"m not paying that, that was not the price I booked under his hotel's website, he refused to honor the booked price even though it was his hotel's error and even though I drove this entire way. He was not nice about the situation and refused to honor any other discounts. read more

I have never had such a bad travel experience! I have been an Hilton Honors member for many years, and this Hilton Garden Inn was my first choice hotel for my trip. After a long day and late flight (arrival details were included in my reservation), I got to the hotel at 1:20 in the morning only to find my room had been given away!! "Sorry, Hilton corporate has overbooked us, and we tried to call you, but we couldn't get a hold of you so we gave your room away" With an 8am meeting the same day, I was devastated and astounded. I didn't know that they could do this to you, I thought the reservation was a contract with the hotel to hold the room. Especially since they had my late arrival details and I was an Hilton Honors member. I was super tired, and had visions of sleeping on their couches in their lobby (which in retrospect would have probably been the better option, as then I would have had a better chance of getting a half way decent sleep) Why did they give my room away - I'm still baffled: 1. They called my HOME phone, and didn't bother to leave a message (my husband was home but because of all the spam calls we seldom pick up - if they had tried to leave a message my husband would have picked up and would have told them I was coming. He double checked - no messages) 2. My cell phone was on the hotel record, my phone showed NO attempt at calls. The result After asking nicely, the desk staff called around to see if there was any place for me to stay, and the best back-up plan was a Motel 6. (I'm not going to put a review here, but lets just say it didn't live up to my standards, and it was a rough night) Comp for Uber ride to other hotel? NOPE. The desk staff didn't have the authority I had to pay for my transport over there. The desk staff left a note for the manager and told me the manager would call and compensate me in the morning. I have yet to even here an additional peep from these guys and it's been more than a week. After googling the experience online. It looks like what they're supposed to do is find you another room of better or equal quality, get you to the room, and maybe even comp you. I've been extremely disappointed by this whole experience. If they've done it once, they could do it again, and they could do it to YOU. What's to say this isn't the new norm for Hilton?? I'm not sure I'd be comfortable booking with them after this treatment, and I would recommend you think twice before making a reservation with them lest you find yourself in the same boat. read more

Housekeeping was not doing a good job. And certain staff wasn't nice. I checked out and got home and realized at the exact same day I left something behind at the hotel. It was a baby teething necklace, nothing of any monetary value but holds sentimental value. I called right away and the operator said housekeeping already got off so she would left a note at the door to let housekeeping know the next morning when they came in. I called 2 days later and spoke with the housekeeping person in charge. She said nothing was turned in but she would check again, even would check the vacuum for me. Left my number, wasn't getting a call back for the following week. Then I called again, I spoke with the operator at the time (January 3, 2017, at around 2:30pm). She put me on hold briefly and then returned and told me nothing was found. I said to her that the housekeeping must not be doing a good job because I knew exactly where I left it behind - it was on the night stand between the beds so it couldn't possibly be missed. She said she was sorry I left that way but the hotel wasn't responsible for things that are left behind. Then she proceeded to ask if there was anything she could help me, and hung up before I could finish my sentence. I assumed they did everything they could to try to retrieve the necklace AFTER I called, but I suspect the necklace was either taken, or casually thrown out, soon after I checked out. I understand the hotel is not responsible, but I am giving 1 star, because of the poor training of some staff members. read more

So as I was booking travel for work I wasn't paying attention and accidentally booked through hotels.com instead of using my Hilton honors number...Although I accidentally booked thru hotels... as a Hilton Honors Member...the staff still wouldn't let me check-in early but let people who came in after me check-in. At 2:55 when I went to double check...5 min before real check-in...there was supposedly only ONE room available and it was handicapped. I find that hard to believe but fine. I had to take it bc I had to get ready for an evening meeting. Room smells moldy and bed is hard as a rock. They supposedly said I can get a new room tomorrow. We will see how that works out for me. Will update review pending outcome of tomorrow. Side note: I may only be a silver member but I book Hilton whenever there is one close to where I am for work. I stayed at this Hilton a year ago and the experience was way more pleasant than this go around. UPDATE! The lovely ladies at this front desk for the evening shift are wonderful! Not worth the money! Suites are very small also the daytime staff is not very friendly. I received a 10% off offer at Redz and noticed afterwards that the coupon was not applied to my check. Asked the front desk staff to adjust the charges and was told by the manager that they can't fix it and it was just $8. In order words, it's $8 so I should let it go. Are you kidding?? This hotel is brand new, clean, and beautiful. The room was not huge, but very clean and airy, a great desk/workspace, the bed was SUPER comfy, and had a microwave and mini fridge in the room, which was a great perk. The bar and restaurant downstairs has great happy hour specials (fabulous deals for hotel prices!!) and the food was delicious. Clean/new hotel The management should really consider changing their policy about guests not being allowed to eat in their rooms. I went down to grab some breakfast and I was told by two separate employees that I wasn't allowed to take it back to my room. If food isn't allowed in the rooms then I'm a little confused by the in-room refrigerators and to go containers in the kitchen. Sure I'm a little salty (unlike the breakfast I'm NOT eating), but as a business traveler this is a little abnormal- at least in my opinion. Why put a room directly over the patio bar? Why install blackout shades but not allow them to close? These are questions I'm asking at 10pm in a below average Hilton Garden Inn. I would have tried the gym but it was full of 20-30 kids. The elevator blacked out and then rebooted while I was in it. This is a hotel to skip at all costs. read more
