Stayed here after a Yankees game on our way up to Cooperstown the next day. The hotel is nice and everyone was super nice. We checked in late Friday night. Breakfast at 9:30am on Saturday was pretty busy and ordering off the menu was chaotic. All of our orders came out at different times, but everything tasted good! The rooms have nice 55" inch flat screen TVs and a mini-fridge. The best part was the deluxe shower head! It was so refreshing after a long, hot day!! It had great pressure from the main shower head and with the wide circumference it was fantastic. Then, it had the handheld piece that helped to get all the soap washed off, and it had an adjustment level too!! read more

I've stayed at Hilton Garden Inn's in California and I haven't been impressed. This one in Wayne New Jersey is really nice. Everyone who I had contact with really cared. The morning cooks and waiter were friendly. Even the late night front desk person was nice. The property is off the beaten path which maybe makes it a hidden gem. zero stars. do not stay here. hilton & buffalo lodging associates do not care about you or your safety. they only care about money. one of their employees forced his way into my room, after harrassing me over a 3 day stay, and solicited me for prostitution. i am attaching the police report. this happened in september 2024. even after the detective reached out to management, they did not look into it and kept this person on staff and he continued to work there. only after i emailed corporate (hilton and buffalo lodging associates), did they open an investigation with a case number. they do not watch what is happening in their hotel, even with all of the cameras that are available to them. there are more details to what took place at this hotel, which is all in my verbal statement to the police which was recorded on their body camera. alot of details were left out in this report. and, i didnt 'move closer to him', he reached out and pulled me close to him. and i was still in shock after he forced his way into my room, uninvited. i was petrified. i thought for sure, that i was going to be raped. i was praying over & over in my head to jesus to please do not let that happen. this guy was very slick. everything he did was planned & caught me off guard. he told me that he had been working there for eight months. he definitely has either done this to someone before or he has tried. don't they do background checks on employees? don't they monitor the cameras in the hallways? you will notice in the emails that even after the detective went there & told the manager of the situation, he didn't fire the pr*ck. also, after i complained to the hilton, they opened up an internal case (they didn't open a case investigation after the detective visited with the manager- only after i emailed everyone, including corporate) and i was contacted by the manager days later & he told me that when they confronted their employee about the incident & let him know that there was now an internal investigation, he resigned. i wonder why. i was staying there because i am homeless. i already suffer from ptsd, anxiety and depression. read more

Stayed for one night, hotel was pretty perfect for what we needed. Super clean, fair-priced and the pool and hot tub were a wonderful touch. My ONLY complaint is this: the bedframes are a knee killer. Their wooden corners stuck far past the bed itself and are at perfect height to take out your knees and could probably knock out a small child. Probably one of the most interesting inn experiences for us to date. We arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn - Wayne during a n'oreaster (barely made it up the hill) and the place was dark. No power. They were apologetic, as if it were their fault, and led us to our room by flashlight. Power returned at some point before dawn, and we realized that the staff had worked the whole night and was still rocking and rolling to make sure everyone had a comfortable stay. Rooms here are comfortable and clean. The suites aren't my favorite in the Hilton brand (or other brands, for that matter) because there is no privacy in the 'master.' Neither is there a desk (it's in the living area). I'm a professional writer and need privacy. For most people, this probably isn't a big deal. The hotel itself has all the amenities to make you comfortable while you are away from home. Be it an ice machine right around the corner from your temporary digs, or a bar/restaurant on the first floor, this place has you covered. Beds are comfortable. Water is always hot. And housekeeping does a wonderful job. All of this is a testament to the management here. I feel badly that I do not remember the gentleman's name who was in charge during our mid-March 2018 stay, but Hilton should promote this guy and increase his salary. He was working on no sleep. Guys like me came in and complained, and he kept smiling and remained professional. His staff did the same thing, including shoveling snow off customers' cars (see my photo). I checked in to work in my room at night. I made sure I asked for a quiet room. The guy at the desk said the hotel is dead so it's very quiet. I asked him why this hotel was much more expensive than many other garden inns. He said they raise prices when there are few guests. I Said ok and checked in. Well first night wasn't that noisy. This second night was horrible. Kids everywhere running all over the hotel and yelling and banging on doors. I couldn't get any work done. Another guest told me how noisy it's been and she was upset . Also a gentleman . I am diamond and from what I see this hotel just wants to book rooms and doesn't care at all about diamond or business guests. Kids were sitting on tables in the business center. Also in the lobby and pool and dripping water everywhere. Not only did this cause many inconveniences to myself and others it is dangerous for all these kids to be unsupervised running everywhere here. One kid was ridding on the luggage cart down the hall. Paid more to stay here vs other Hilton properties in the area that seem to have become welfare hotels. My mistake! Last 2 stays here we're ok, not old Hilton standards, but ok. Not this time. Digital key is a joke! Room they list to pick from isnt ready and my car, luggage, dog and myself all,now reek of smoke thanks to the rude, narcissistic , smoker who I guess is staying here and has to continually smoke right between my car and the entrance! I guess the staff at the desk think not getting a digital key is amusing but when you are handicapped and traveling it is a big inconvience to have to go and get a key after purposely asking for a digital key early. Now they put me in a room directly across from the pool ! Should be a great night between the pool noise and my dog barking at i! Wish there were more hotel choices in the area because I am more than done with Hilton! Update- 20 minutes after I finally get into my room I get a knock on the door . Now they want to come in and do something to the tv. Are they kidding? After you finally check me into a room? Told them they could do it after I check out. Sure enough, 15 minutes later they start calling me about it! What a restful place, NOT! I had a block of rooms at this hotel for my wedding this past weekend. We had to move our wedding a few times due to COVID and Ana was amazing to work with and very accommodating. Check in and check out was very easy and the staff was so friendly! The hotel lobby and the rooms themselves were very clean. You can tell they put a lot of time into making sure their cleaning was up to COVID requirements. Each room had a tape over the door indicating that it had been sufficiently cleaned, and the remotes were in plastic bags from being disinfected. Ana also made sure that our shuttles were on time to bring everyone to and from our wedding. We are so glad we chose this hotel for our room block! read more

Brand new hotel. Everything is clean & new. Nice touches like fruit infused water in lobby and some type of cookie bar that was somehow yummy AND healthy! Free coffee in the lobby in the morning as well. That was a huge plus for me as I was up so early, half asleep & had forgotten to make a to-go cup in my room. No worries Hilton has you covered with a coffee station near the exit! Staff is personable and professional. Not stuffy professional. I need personality & they provided. Pool is so clean & relaxing. Nice music is playing as you relax poolside. View is the parking lot but who really cares when your biggest worry is choosing between the pool & hot tub?! Very enjoyable. Fitness center is 24 hours. Basic machines & some core equipment with a nice tv & towels as well as headphones for those who forgot to pack theirs (me). First night in town I had to leave the hotel for a meeting and it was such a relief to be coming back here at the end of the night. Had that "phew I'm home" feeling. Sunk into the most comfortable bed and drifted off to dreamland. read more

Having stayed at Hilton where my booking always had free breakfast. This one apparently was not included. Though I can't find it stating that anywhere in my reservation breakfast not included. I'm also a Hilton member and it never mentioned in the app reservation page. After check out the lady said breakfast is still open. So I headed to the breakfast area and after setting down my suitcase I was greeted by a man yelling at me $15 for breakfast! Upon Utter disbelief I said sorry what did you say? He said again pointing at me and my guest "you and you $15 for breakfast!" In Front of other hotel guests. Shocked and embarrassed I was still in shock to be greeted like this. The guy stormed over to reception to check my reservation, where the lady then said oh yeah your reservation doesn't include breakfast! That's fine but seriously the embarrassment. And trust me for $30 I would definitely have breakfast else where! Shame nice hotel with such rude staff. Why tell me breakfast is open after I checked out? And not mention it then? Why did this man not even say hello and ask me if my reservation included breakfast? Than barking at me for $15? Absolutely appalling customer service read more

Solid 4 to 4.5 stars. This place was very convenient to where I needed to be. Check in was a breeze and the front desk guys were great. We got a bag with two bottles of water and some type of candy bar. Not bad for an inexpensive place. My wife (who has stayed at other Hilton Garden's before) said the place is laid out and uses the same color scheme, so that was funny. But the lobby looked nice. They had a bar area and a dining area for breakfast and dinner. There's a small meeting room off the lobby and a small business center (2 PC's and a printer) around the corner. There's a pool and fitness center but we didn't check it out. There's a recycling bin near the elevators, labeled for each type of refuse. The place was very clean. The room was spacious (king size bed) with a comfy chair, desk & chair, dresser with a flat screen TV on top. I got basic WiFi for free, I think I can get a level up with my Hilton Honors number, and you can pay (the horrors!) for WiFi. There were plenty of lamps and outlets in the room. Good air conditioning, pretty quiet. There was also an area with a small microwave oven, small refrigerator, and the obligatory Keurig coffee maker. Bathroom was nice. They have Neutrogena soaps (French milled!). Good size sink/countertop for his and hers bathroom stuff. Minor complaint about them keeping the bath towels in the shower on a rack. What's up with that? Many hotels have this setup and I hate it. All the towels get damp when you take a shower. Also, the water pressure could have been a bit better, but it was fine for a few days. There was plenty of hot water. Had breakfast there on our last day. It was a bit more than the typical breakfast buffet. They had eggs, make your own waffles, breads & spreads, cereal, fruit, and much more. You could also order different types of made-to-order eggs, French toast, and pancakes. It was good. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER DO NOT BOOK THIS FOR A WEDDING We booked over 40 rooms at this hotel 10 months in advance for my daughter's wedding. Even after being given so much lead time, and multiple phone calls and emails to the staff, the shuttle transportation the hotel promised never showed up. My husband and I were on the phone for 35 minutes during the reception trying to resolve the situation instead of enjoying ourselves at this once in a lifetime event. We were robbed of precious time that we will never be able to get back. As if that weren't enough, the final knife in the back occurred when we went to check in with my 92 year old mother into the adjoining rooms that we reserved but now weren't available. We had to ask one of our guests, who had two rooms next to each other to pack up and relocate themselves. The end result was once again my husband and I missed the majority of the after party trying to resolve hotel issues. No one should have to go through this during such a special event. The incompetence was inexcusable. The venue also informed me that a similar situation took place the previous week involving this hotel. I am posting this with the hope that you really consider the impact this will have on what should be your perfect day and you therefore make a different choice. read more

First time visitor. Room spacious and clean. Stayed just 1 night so didn't use the kitchenette but it was well equipped for someone who planned a longer stay. Perfect for business traveler. Room, elevator and hallways had strange but not offensive odor. Staff is great! Had small mechanical issue in room, front desk person, Nichole, came right up to our room prepared with keys to move us to a new room. She was so professional and friendly. The staff here are phenomenal. Jenna and another great associate suggested a some options for my dinner. The location I chose (don't want to bash the place) really messed up the delivery taking too long and delivering to a different hotel. When Jenna discovered the issue, she actually called to apologize for any involvement she might have had. Wow! I was really impressed with that act of kindness. I stayed here for one night but it was a delightful day/evening. The room was very clean and had a delightful cinnamon scent. The room was basic with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, alarm clock and table and chairs. The wifi was an issue as the complimentary wifi wasn't strong but the premium $5 wifi obviously worked better. They did offer a lot of good cable stations on the TV. Overall it was a good experience and I recommend it. The staff was helpful and quick with the check in process. read more

Out of the many different Hilton Garden Inn's I have stayed at, this is the most comfortable one. Location is nice. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Hot water in shower came on quickly. Stayed here for the first time this past week. It's a new property (about a year old) and is in great proximity to my office. The hotel is a great addition to the area and I will find myself staying here often. The rooms were very comfortable which is the most important thing. There are still trying to get their liquor license which isn't their fault. The reason for the lack of stars has to do with their restaurant. I have only had breakfast but it made a profound impact. The food was good but the service was pretty bad. I had to ask them multiple times for silverware and they rarely checked on me. Went there with a huge group for a wedding and the staff really did a spectacular job. I travel a lot and do about 50 trips a year, staying at hotels all the time, and this team has been the best I've had in a while. We had Ricky and Tahteanna at the front desk & they were able to accommodate our every need. The rooms are very clean, the lobby is a nice area when you can enjoy time with friends if you don't want to be too loud in the room. Every time we needed anything, they were able to help us and they were also very quick about it. I was able to meet with Jeremy, the manager, the next morning and he was as pleasant as the night staff. November 7th I stayed the night at this hotel . Rooms were clean. After checking out in the morning I realized I left my jewelry in the bathroom and when confronting management about it my jewelry was no where to be found. My jewelry was stolen from maid service and it was my word against the hotels. Management did not handle the situation adequately and the problem at hand was blown off. read more

Don't do it!!! Staff can't keep 2 credit card transactions separated. Didn't realize till 3 days later, when I was back in home state 7 hours away. General Manager Eric Mohlenhoff was unreasonable over a $16 grilled cheese/vegetables and water ticket. Poor poor choice Hilton Garden Inn! I enjoyed my stay there in October while visiting on business. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and they were helpful on suggestions of places to eat at when I inquired. The rooms were clean, everything worked as it was supposed to, and I had breakfast twice there and enjoyed the selections and made-to-order omelettes. It was quiet at night, good selections of tv channels, and good water pressure in the shower. Not much of a night life in the "bar" area at night, but that's okay. Would stay again. read more

Not only was everything with our room great, but the front staff was awesome! Our room was everything you would expect from a newer Garden Inn: comfortable beds, clean and newer fixtures, and a comfortable desk area. Regarding the front staff, they were very helpful with good recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Very bad service. I booked hotel for one bedroom suite. When we checked in at 5:00pm, they just downgrade my room without any notice and sorry. I know they host two weddings that day, so I guess hotel got overbooking. They only told me to ask refund from the website I booked. End up, hotel only agree to refund $8 to the website I booked. I am not happy the way they treated customers and refund systems. I don't know why I booked this hotel three weeks early than get high price. read more
