This place is beautiful, huge entry with modern lighting - huge marble-granite tile running up column and beams- seating options to wait for your uber or enjoy your food from the extensive Starbucks and market. The market had bakery, great healthy lunches or items that could be for dinner. Salad, wine and charcuterie to take to your room to enjoy, mixed drinks - I mean a really great market. As a Hiton gold, I rc $15 per day credit- this allowed me to belly up to the bar, grab a glass of house wine and head to my room. It is connected to the convention center by the walkways, but a shorter walk outside you'll be there in 5 minutes Rooms are clean, updated, pillows galore, 25 floors (no club level, sad, bring this back) pool and huge gym. Perfectly serviceable large convention hotel with the level of quality you'd expect from a mid range priced Hilton property of this size. Great location for business and for sports -- walk to Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves games. Wild games are in St Paul, about a 20-30 minute drive away. University of Minnesota about. 10-15 minute drive. Rooms were well enough appointed with precisely what you'd expect -- good beds, desk, bathroom with European approach to amenities (pump bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower). Housekeeping a little spotty but very polite. I was sort of amazed that this table sat in the hall for no apparent reason all three nights I was there. Fitness center was good with a wide variety of of equipment. Sad to say that the Peloton bikes were functional but under-maintained, so difficult to adjust and without toe clip straps. Not a federal case...and I imagine they get a lot of use....but a sign of under management... Front desk staff very helpful and polite throughout the stay. Only real beef was with the lobby bar, which is a fun, buzzy place ... but with full on NYC prices in the heart of this midwestern city. My two cocktails and a flatbread appetizer came to over $80 with tip...!! I'd have expected that from the high end steakhouse at a competitive hipster hotel down the street...but here it was surprising bordering on insulting. read more

Rooms are nice. Dining is very expensive. I wouldn't stay here if I wasn't part of a conference. But for a conference hotel it's fine. Gym is ok. Only one set of each size free weights. So if someone else is hogging the sizes you'd like to use, you're out of luck. Plenty of cardio machines. Lobby is spacious and nicely decorated. Hilton Minneapolis; the good, the bad and the real ugly...truth! Sorry Hilton but you need to really step it up here. Seriously, pick another hotel to stay at while in the downtown Minneapolis area. For what you pay here, rooms are NOT at basic acceptable standards by any hotel chain! Good: They have large lobby with plenty of seating areas offering chairs, sofas, bar seating, coffee and traditional tables for groups. The Ten01 Social offers pretty good food and beverages. They have nice Crabtree & Evelyn toiletry products. The room from the beginning looks decent but look closer and it's not good. Bad: The underground parking is not theirs. So you have to pay separately at the machine and not the convenience to have it as part of your hotel stay bill. Real Ugly: Rooms and bathrooms are dirty and need very serious renovation and deep cleaning. This is no fault of housekeeping that the carpeting is worn with dark stains, tub areas worn down, sink chipped, faucet leaking, wallpaper peeling, tub tile clear sight mold (see my pics) etc.... Massive hotel right in downtown Minneapolis. If you are there for a convention at the convention center it is perfect. You actually don't even have to step outside to go to convention center. The skyways are very unique and very cool. Rooms were spacious and the lobby had a nice bar. The wings off the lobby menu were crispy and a perfect snack. Recently stayed in the Hilton Minneapolis while I was also attending a conference in the hotel. This certainly allowed for some convenience, as I was able to head back to my room between conference sessions and get some work done. First though, the basics: I arrived at the hotel early-ish (probably around 10-30 or 11am) when check-in typically begins at 4pm. I had received an email a couple days prior offering early check-in on a first-come, first-served basis for those who opted to pay an extra fee ($30, I believe). I had to be checked out of hotel I had been using for my vacation days in Minneapolis by 11am, so I opted to request early check-in for the extra fee (and if I had to end up paying that out of pocket vs by travel funds from my work, so be it). When I arrived at the hotel, I was in line for check-in and a man asked if he could hop in line for a quick second because his keycard wasn't working. This would be a recurring issue for all of us attending the conference as well, unfortunately... whether using our keycards or the digital key available within the Hilton app, neither option would consistently work in either the elevator (where you needed a key of some kind in order to get to any floors from 4 or above) or for your room. At check-in, the desk attendant was able to offer me a high-floor room for early check-in. Given that I was there for the conference, she also removed the $30 fee from my account that was related to the early check-in. I went up to my room to drop off my luggage and get myself organized for a bit before heading down to the opening of the conference. The room itself was standard - if somewhat dated. The carpet appeared a bit dingy, and I noticed areas throughout the room that hadn't necessarily been thoroughly cleaned. There were NUMEROUS spots in the bathroom, for example, that were covered in strands of dark hair (all over the bathtub/shower, even some strands on the CEILING), and there was a table between the beds that didn't appear as though anyone had vacuumed under it for a good amount of time. I also found a couple dark stains on the fabric headboard of one of the beds. (Gag.) The walls between rooms are also pretty thin. I could literally hear the woman in the room neighboring mine while she was on her phone each morning - even though my TV was on and I was just watching the news. For the couple days I was there, I spent most of my time navigating between conference events... so generally, this hotel was fine. The location in downtown Minneapolis makes it easy to walk just a couple blocks to find interesting restaurants. That said, I wouldn't opt to stay here again if I was back in Minneapolis - unless, I suppose, my reason for visiting was specifically for another conference. TL;DR. Convenient for work / conference purposes, but wouldn't be the hotel I'd pick for any kind of vacation time in Minneapolis - downtown or otherwise. It left a good amount to be desired. read more

Our daughters were getting ready and found blood on their shower curtain shower wall. Aside from being gross, by the time they replaced the curtain and cleaned we had to cancel our Uber. Found an actual human molar, a sight I never thought I would see in my life, in the very small dog area that you can take dogs out on in the Hilton premises, behind the sign, where the hotel staff led me to go on the property. Disgusting and disturbing, would not recommend taking dogs here, even though they are a pet friendly hotel. I paid for the night and we didn't last the day. Do not take your precious fur babies here. They may choke on a human tooth? -update- after a lot of long phone calls, they did refund my stay which was nice of them. This is actually a 4.5 star review. I love the Hilton Minneapolis for the location and how convenient it is to stay here to go to events anywhere Downtown Minneapolis and at the Vikings Stadium. The hotel is clean, beds are great and the blinds on the windows are absolutely fantastic! You don't see any light coming in, which is fantastic if you are staying here for a late night event and can sleep in. Plus: they have good Brazilian coffee in their coffee makers in the rooms! I took 0.5 stars away because I think the hotel is understaffed for its size and location. It took forever to check in (yes, I am familiar with digital key, but when you are traveling with friends is good to have physician keys as well), whenever we had a question, it took forever for us to find a staff member who could help. Maybe Hilton could be innovative with their schedule and hire more staff as needed on busy times. read more

Stayed here while in town for a ball game. Stayed for just one night. I will say that this is a nice place - the lack of breakfast other than an overpriced cafe is troubling - but I like the location as it is downtown but away from the heavily trafficked area so it's close but still far enough away to breathe. As far as parking, there is an underground garage that the city owns and is $15 overnight parking. After you leave the front of the hotel make two rights onto 2nd street and the garage entrance is there. Plus the garage elevator takes you to the back lobby of the hotel. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the bathroom was clean and nice. I would say that the Hilton is the best upscale mid-grade option of the Hilton hotels. Would stay here again. Thanks. read more

Restaurant closed at 930 even though the sign on property says 10pm and the website shows 11pm which was a bummer since we had a late night check in(9pm). Hotel room was not the cleanest and very outdated. We found safety pins holding our shower curtain together and a ripped chair in our room which I wouldn't expect from a Hilton. Service just was ok, the shuttle service from Vern was great. I will be choosing a different property next time. read more

I stayed at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis from 5/2/22 to 5/5/22 while attending the 2022 Craft Brewers Conference at the nearby convention center with my boss and another coworker. Sadly we did not stay at the Hyatt this time around...my boss chose Hilton because of its' direct connection to the convention center and he is also a Hilton HHonors member. I was in room 1844, my boss was in room 2245, and my coworker was in room 1533. My boss and I were originally supposed to arrive on 5/1/22, but we missed our connecting flight to Minneapolis in Denver from Las Vegas because of a maintenance issue with our plane. My room was at the very end of the hallway, so it was quiet. Unfortunately, there were more cons than pros during my stay. Pros: +Early check-in. +Key drop box in the lobby (express check-out). +On-site market. +Full bar in the lobby. +Gym was open. +Nice view from my room. +Refrigerator in room. +Skyway connects to convention center and orchestra room. +iHome in room. +Walking distance from Nicollet Mall. Cons: -Lawn maintenance was being performed on our first day there (it was that day only, thankfully). Even from the 18th floor I could still hear those annoying leaf blowers in action. And the fresh mulch that they had put down had that awful manure smell. -WiFi suuuucked. It barely worked and kept disconnecting from time to time. -No microwave in room. -No coffee machine in room. -Housekeeping available only by request (possibly due to COVID). -Slip resistant pads in the tub looked like they have not been sterilized in years. -No USB ports. -My room was FREEZING. -Blood splatter found on the curtain. -I found two glass shards - one behind the chair when fixing the thermostat and another one next to the window. Big safety hazard!!! -DISGUSTING stainless steel trash cans with questionable crusty stains. -I got locked out of my room on our first night and I had to get new room keys from the lobby. My boss had the same issue as well. -The AC in the hallway blew cold air nonstop, in 50 something degree weather. I'm not sure if I want to stay at this Hilton again, especially after seeing the blood and the glass shards and how crappy their WiFi is. We decided to take a trip to the cities for our honeymoon after we got married. First of all, the hotel is beautiful!!! The lobby area was stunning with high ceilings, escalators, and plenty of room to move around where you don't feel enclosed. The front desk people seemed to be pretty nice and were very helpful when we needed it. Here are the things I liked....besides the decor, I really liked room we stayed in. We had a beautiful room! We were on the 22nd floor! The views were stunning, and we had great views of downtown, and even out to the highway. The room had a couch with a pull out bed, and 3 lounge chairs! The room was HUGE!!! The bed was somewhat comfortable, but in the morning I always had a back ache, and I'm sure it was from the bed. We had a King sized bed. The bathroom was nice, and the room seemed to be really clean. Here's what I don't like...First, I don't like the fact that the fridge in the room is basically a cooler. Your drinks, food, etc, do NOT get colder just from the fridge itself. You have to put your ice bucket in the fridge filled with ice because it acts as a cooling agent to your food or drinks. I have to say, this is the first time I've ever seen this in life!! Why do you have an ice bucket, that takes up an enormous amount of room in the fridge just to cool your items? This puzzled me, and it was frustrating. The rooms are extremely expensive. We paid $657+ after tax, and we only stayed 3 days!! If you're going to charge this much for a room, at least have an actual fridge that cools on its own! Also, we were asked if we wanted daily cleaning service, but we only had our room cleaned once and that was the last day! Why ask if it's not going to happen? We had our tag off of the door, and left in plenty of time for it to be cleaned. Also, the vending machines are VERY outdated, which again, a pricey hotel in downtown Minneapolis, should have better vending machines. Also, it's unfortunate that there isn't some type of breakfast except to pay more money for a VERY overpriced restaurant. Seriously....9 bucks or more for oatmeal...oatmeal! We didn't get breakfast there because we decided to go elsewhere for breakfast. Also, I think it's absolutely crazy to put a $400 hold on a room just for a security deposit!!! The money doesn't even get released until 3-5 business days after your stay! Too much money to hold onto! Aside from the minor annoyances, we enjoyed our stay. I just wish some things that are very overpriced could be justified by some things that are outdated or seemed dysfunctional. Maybe consider a lounge for people on the high floors, or a special breakfast area! All in all, a decent place, but please consider a change of the items I mentioned. Thanks! read more

Staying on a company visit. First off they charge $100 per night even though a corporation has paid for the rooms. I get to my room and the room is dirty. There's gunk on the towels, and trash in the garbage. They send someone up to clean ...cool. Day 7 ( I'm literally checking out tomorrow April 8th), I'm looking out of the window and notice something on the curtain, so I grab my phone and it looks like a bed bug!!! This was my first actual TC staycation. Reason we represented Bouchercon, which is the biggest international mystery event of the year, and we haven't had one for two years because of covid. So authors and fans haven't seen each other and were already excited. The valet parking is amazing and whenever I needed my car they were fast. I was able to get a cart fairly quick. They have plenty of elevators, which is needed for conventions, where you basically take over the hotel. Especially the lobby which is welcoming and has plenty of bar seating. But the chairs in the lobby are practically down to the floor. The restaurant is right there and the bathrooms are around the corner from it. The snack bar is close and has some gooey goodies. They have a green room for private events to the left but they don't supply enough chairs. The room itself was great. I loved the bathroom in spite of a lower toilet. I could use the sink to pull myself up. Everything is in close proximity. The tub is low enough to step into and very safety friendly, no slipping on the tub floor and handles. Nice products. A very firm comfortable bed and high up. One of those flimsy desk chairs where you'll go flying if you don't know how they work. Good seating and plenty of outlets. I went down to get a cart cause you never know what the wait is. Someone got it for me and helped me through the back elevator. Great service all over. I loved the convention rooms on the second and third floor. I even got on a panel on Sunday. We don't get around too well and were thrilled that we could walk to Ruth's Chris half a block around the corner. Not happy that they close the skyway entrance so early. We ate at the restaurant several times and loved that as well. read more

Hilton Minneapolis is in a fantastic location, close to US Bank and other major venues, bars, and restaurants. The room was clean, and the staff was welcoming. There is a large bar downstairs in the lobby with many TVs. I stayed on a Saturday night before a Vikings home game and noticed many out-of-town fans also were staying there. The bar atmosphere is one of the best I've seen at a hotel. Breakfast is served in the restaurant called Ten 01 Social, which is also located on the first level. The breakfast features a buffet otherwise, a vast menu of options. I've been a Hilton Diamond member for years, and this was one of the better Hiltons I've stayed at, so I would recommend it. The Hilton Mpls is located in downtown Mpls and connected to the convention center by skyway. I came in for a conference and this was the host hotel. I like the location of the hotel to the conference center, as it felt like a safe walk in the skyways. I also liked that they had a UOS store in the second floor-very handy if you need to send or receive packages for conferences etc! ATMOSPHERE: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The bellman at the front helped me to the room with my things, and the whole way was giving me tips on where to eat, where to avoid and other sights to see in the area. The front desk was polite and welcoming, as were the employees a in the restaurant and bar. It was a great place to gather after the conference with colleagues. AMENITIES: They have a nice pool which is heated and warm enough even for this freeze baby to take a dip. No jacuzzi, which I really could have used after the long days in the conference floor. They did have a sauna, but I didn't use it this time so can't review. The workout room was great with Pelaton bikes an treadmill. There is a market in the lobby. The feedback I have here is that the cashier from the store-who rang up my prepackaged food-asked me how much I'd like to leave for a tip. While I'm all about tipping for service and often tip at coffee shops etc, I was a bit surprised by this and didn't appreciate it. ROOMS: My room was clean, and had a good view of the sunset over the city. The building faces east/west, so there was also a sunrise option. From a distance, Mpls is a beautiful city and the view was nice. AREA SAFETY: This had nothing to do with the hotel itself-I felt completely safe there and we had no problems. However I'll put in the tips as well that the area overall is unsafe. The first night we were there a demonstration formed and there was violence as a part of it. On our third night we decided to go to a local piano bar and I was targeted for trafficking, as was another colleague. Thank goodness we were there as a group and also mostly sober when we arrived, but we caught two people trying to slip things into drinks and there was a group of them working together. Of drinking in the area I would be very careful where you go. In fact, if I go back I'll stay at the hotel which has a safe environment and a good selection of drinks, beer and wine-along with bar snacks. Overall great place to be if visiting downtown, but keep your eyes open if you leave the hotel. read more

I'm not going to lie -- when I saw how low daily rates were for this hotel, I was a bit reluctant to book. After all, at $93/night for a Hilton in the center of town with luxury hotels nearby, I assumed that this hotel HAD to be cutting corners at some point. However, I could not have been proven more wrong. Beginning with the neighborhood, this is one of the best places in Minneapolis you can stay. It is walking distance from local malls and shops (including department stores like Target) in addition to high-end steakhouses and restaurants. It's also one of those areas with high security, newly paved roads, and well-lit streets. Regarding the hotel itself, everything was seamless. This hotel was recently renovated, giving the interior a modern aesthetic. Yes, the pictures actually match what it looks like in person. Check-in was a breeze, and every single staff-person throughout my stay was kind and accommodating. Located in the heart of the lobby is the Ten01 bar/restaurant, with some incredible food (at affordable prices) that rivals 5-star restaurants. Not to mention the incredible service! There are also several amenities that are easy to access, such as an indoor heated pool, fitness center, and even a UPS store. All of these facilities were clean and well-maintained. Last but not least is the hotel room itself. This is one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in in years. It is common for certain elements of hotel rooms to be run down in some regard: maybe a drawer doesn't fit quite right or there is a loose outlet. This hotel room was flawless, even nicer than some higher end hotel rooms I've stayed at. Everything was well-made and clean, and for any issues I did have, maintenance was at my room within minutes, even going above and beyond to ensure my comfort (i.e. bringing my extra towels when fixing my shower head). Of course, like every Hilton hotel, beds were extremely comfortable. And if you're like me and rely on air conditioning, this hotel has units that work flawlessly and are nearly silent. Overall, if you are planning a trip to Minneapolis, look no further. The low prices on rooms might seem a bit suspicious, but there is not a single thing to dislike about this hotel. Wonderful location, surrounded by great places to eat and not far from entertainment. You can access many things through the skyway system, you won't have to go outside for anything. The hotel offers many amenities that are worth the money. This is the biggest hotel in Minneapolis, and staff treat it as such, making sure you get a five star experience. This is a central location, doesn't matter where your event is in the twin cities, you can get there in 30 mins. This location has underground parking so you won't have to park on the street, valet parking as well. I'm gonna return and see how it is in the summer. read more

The hotel itself is very pretty and connected to the skywalk and convention center which is nice, however, the service here is lacking. Some days housekeeping didn't come. The days they did most things were not taken care of. I am not a diva when it comes to hotel housekeeping as I am not comfortable with people cleaning up after me, but replacing towels and taking the trash out is the very least you can do. Especially when the towels were placed on the ground like the placards ask for. read more

There were certain aspects of the stay that were pleasant and others not so pleasant. Let's start with the good. The staff was very pleasant. The location is central to transportation , food , and various venues. The room itself and the view were enjoyable. They were able to give us complimentary toothpaste and communicate through text messaging. Let's continue with the not so pleasant. The app says that you can pre-check in and use your phone as a digital key so that you can go straight to your room . When I contacted the hotel they said that function was not available despite the app saying it was. We get to the hotel and check in at the front desk. We are told that we get free breakfast. They text me and ask if there is anything they can do to make the stay more pleasant. We ask for toothpaste and water. The water wasn't free, so I declined. They did give us the toothpaste promptly. The next day, they text me if there is anything they can do to give us a perfect 10 experience. I asked if there was complimentary breakfast and what time checkout is. They said no complimentary breakfast and 11:00 am checkout time. The following morning we decide to try the skyway system. We get to the connection leading out of the hotel and it is locked. There were no signs indicating otherwise and we were within the days and times of the posted signs. Fast forward to checkout we were told we still have unused breakfast credits! We were surprised as I had explicitly asked about those breakfast credits. She told us based on our room we were supposed to get 3 days worth of breakfast credits. We were already leaving so I asked her if there was anything she could do. Unfortunately, she said no. That was a disappointing answer. It wasn't the worst experience, but it definitely could have been better and it was not a perfect 10. Better communication to the employees about what is and is not available to the guests would have definitely made the experience better if a perfect 10 is what they truly strive for. read more

4 star is supposed to be better than what these pack of incompetents deliver. They lost a package I had dropped at the desk - were totally perplexed and mystified that things are delivered to guests in a major metro. They cannot handle even this base level expectation of hospitality. Rooms are dated and were probably last refreshed 20 years ago. Anything resembling a "busy period" and they fracture and scatter like roaches with the lights turned on. In summary, as a 2 star motel I'd say it's great. Positioning itself as a 4 star is an insult to the industry, and the guests who were fooled into staying there. Would not recommend - find a 3 star anywhere else in Minneapolis and you'll be much better off. read more

Things have gone downhill since my last review. Wifi was terrible. Even with "premium" internet, basic webpages struggled to load. I was lucky to get 1 Mbps. Doing any kind of work from my room became next to impossible. The pillows were also tremendously disappointing. There are now four small super soft pillows. I had to put three together for a decent pillow experience. There is no executive lunge, so you get a $12 daily food-and-beverage credit, but virtually any meal in the restaurant will cost you at least $17 or so. Otherwise, it's a standard Hilton with good service, and a perfect location if you're going to the nearby convention center (about 0.4 miles away via skyway). read more

The heater was broken in our room for over 18 hours when it was subfreezing outside. No sheets were on the bed when we arrived. Requested a crib in advance and it wasn't there. My 2023 stay here was not the best. Had a room with double beds. One bed had clearly not been changed and had remnants from another guest. Bathroom tub stopped up when showering and half the tub was filled by the time my shower was complete. Maintenance had to be called. Room was also dusty and had to be wiped down. Would not stay here again. For a Hilton, it was not well maintained. read more

This hotel is disgusting. I discovered a blood stain on the mattress pad. It was a two double bed room, so I switched to the other bed in the morning, I brought it to the attention of management, who sounded horrified. I returned later that day to find both beds remade, leading me to thing the issue had been addressed. Wrong. All they had done was send housekeeping to remake the same dirty bed. My first visit was April 2016 for a work conference. Great location for a short walk into the city centre and to attending conference. I enjoyed having places to walk to for selection of eats/drinks especially when confined to conference schedules! Meals in the hotel where okay. I favored the café bc of menu selection, cost and ease of ordering. Starbucks is also located in the hotel which is a MUST for those long conference days! read more

if you are a company coming into this hotel for an event and have to bring materials inside freight elevator be cautious. poor service. myself and my co-workers were stuck inbetween floors for 2hrs !!! they didn't call any emergency services , didn't offer us any water or anything once we called the fire department on our own to get elevator un-stuck and they rushed us to get out materials out instead of making sure everyone was ok. they didn't even attempt to ask. 8 people were stuck and they didn't care one bit. entirely disappointed. read more

It's a really nice Hilton, I like how they kept an old school feel to it but keeping it modern at the same time. From the get-go though, the customer service could really use some attention. I couldn't pick my room from the app or the website 24 hours prior, so I called to choose my room. After 15 minutes of being re-routed to different operators, I finally got the front desk. She was able to choose a room far from the hotel for me, but then I saw that I was being charged $900 on Thursday night instead of the $400 I paid for! I called to change it again, and she told me it was a system error. Then at check-in she, the worker did not explain the wi-fi instructions well so I was having a lot of trouble connecting and had to go down and ask. My coworker was not even given a wifi password at check in and her thermostat was not working and no one came to her room as promised to fix it so she slept in a warm room! The staff in the downstairs store are not very nice either when I went down to get my coffee and sandwich. I also had an item shipped from Amazon to the hotel, and was charged by the pounds to hold it at their FedEx store! Was not expecting that. The plus to this hotel is that it is connected to the convention center which is why I was here, and the rooms are unbelievably quiet. Huge plus for me. read more

due to some kind of booking error this hotel attempted to charge me for a company room. my entire crew was asleep by my 12a flight arrival, but rather than assist me in finding customer service help, or the possibility of only paying for 1 night (instead of all 3) so i could get the company card in the AM the overnight receptionist basically left my to my own devices and is currently just chatting it up with a colleague while I sit on hold with a service line I found myself. He's clearly undisturbed by a patron in his lobby on hold with their own company's customer service line at 1am. All in all the worst service, and this is the 3rd time this has happened with a Hilton hotel wherein the entire company can check in but the person that arrives late is expected to pay a second time. all in all terrible. still on hold and I hate it here. read more
