    Stained couch..

Terrible Hilton. Everything is worn out, dingy and stained.. stained walls, stained couch, stained carpet. Would never stay here again. Dumpiest Hilton property ever.. Don't stay here.

I stay here often. My room tonight will not go under 72 degrees, even though I tried to set it to 64.

The hotel room was run down and very expensive for what a person gets. The beds were doubles/full NOT queens. We were unable to control the temperature of the room even though their was set to 65 with the fan on high, we couldn't get the room under 74°. It was 10° outside. We were able to open the window and get the room to 72° but you have to listen to a lot of traffic noise. The room was so hot. It was unbearable and unsleep-able. Now the lobby that was a different story. The lobby was big, open, bright and inviting. We ate at the restaurant at this hotel, and I was shockingly surprised at how good tasting everything was. The restaurant was amazing. The pool is rundown and not operable. They'll be no swimming at this location. Very disappointing for the price. The shuttle bus to the airport was amazing. They said it ran every 20 minutes. When we got downstairs at 5 AM to get the shuttle, the first shuttle bus completely filled up and there was not enough room for many of us. I thought we would wait another 20 minutes and was going to order an Uber when The next shuttle bus showed up within seconds. The gentleman that runs the shuttle bus is amazing. He's fast and efficient and knows how to get through the airport quickly with back routes that many aren't using.

Ehhhh, It serves its purpose. Definitely needs a refresh. Room had issues, outlets were placed upside down during installation and they don't work. Tile floor in the bathroom was broken. Catching an early flight and It's close to the airport. It has a shuttle that leaves every 20 minutes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. My advice is to get very early. It was a mob scene.

We Ubered from the terminal to the hotel which was fast and easy. On the way back to the airport in the morning we took the free shuttle. There are 2 shuttles: one shuttle for Terminal A and another shuttle for the other terminals. Our shuttle for Terminal A was 9 minutes late and the other shuttle was 5 minutes late so be prepared so you're not cutting it too close! They have a website and monitor at the hotel where you can track the location of the shuttle. The rooms were outstanding and clean! We stayed on the 8th floor and I was highly impressed with the soundproofing in that I could hear almost zero airport and street noise. That was awesome! Unfortunately the sound proofing the other side of the room facing the hallway was bad and I could hear the housekeeping staff starting at 8am being super loud. We ate in the lobby restaurant having dinner at 10:15pm so it's nice they were open late and the food was good. Overall this hotel was a convenient and nice place to stay super close to Newark Intl Airport!

I did have a refrigerator in my room, but a friend had to request one. While I was here, I reported standing water in the tub while in use twice. While the engineers were called, I gave up after the 3 time with standing water (so much eww). I also had the space above the tub start leaking - they fixed it the very next day, and removed $50 that night for my trouble (I declined to move, as I was there for a week, and had a lot of stuff.) No adjustments were made for the standing water. There were a few very lovely people staffing the hotel, including the shuttle drivers (5 stars there!) but also a few that were less lovely. When we went down to breakfast the first time (no free breakfast here), although the sign said to "please seat yourself," when our group attempted to do so, we were stopped, sent back to the front, only to be sat 7 minutes later at the exact table we tried to sit at. It was an experience for sure, but one I'm not eager to repeat.

Having stayed at Embassy Suites several times before, the overall experience--rooms, breakfast, and amenities--was as expected: solid and reliable. What really stood out during this stay, however, was the service. Alejandro and Grant were both excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. Alejandro in particular went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, which made a real difference. The hotel itself is still in good shape, with well-maintained interiors and comfortable room furnishings. The location is also a big advantage. While it's close to the airport, there's also a large outlet mall nearby, along with an arcade, bowling alley, and several dining options--great for both adults and kids. One of the biggest benefits compared to staying in Manhattan is avoiding the hassle of traffic and expensive parking. From the hotel, it's about a 20-25 minute drive to the Holland Tunnel, making access to the city surprisingly easy. A nice bonus was the evening reception--snacks and drinks served by a very kind and attentive bartender and staff, which added to the overall positive experience. The only downside during our stay was that the pool was closed, which was a bit disappointing as it would have helped burn off some of the kids' energy. That said, it's a minor drawback compared to everything else the hotel offers. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable stay with excellent service. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The first room I had had BED BUGS!!! YES I HAVE PROOF ... Multiple bed bugs and myself and my family got bit! I went to the front desk and the gentleman was super nice and kind, and I was not upset at all..I understand sometimes these things happen. I show him a few bites , and pics of the bed bugs. I said just move our rooms and we're good. He was again, super nice, he switched our rooms. We had to move everything, which one as a little hassle..but no worries. I didn't ask for anything special, but he threw in a couple extra drink tickets for the inconvenience...(That'll come into play later) They have the evening reception which is ok.. the snacks are basic. Nowwww here's where the problem enlies and why I chose to write a review. The bartender, named Natalia..? She has MAD attitude! Hella attitude and is almost disrespectful, and pretty bad at her job. As a bartender you want to get tips, which I did 3 times ,not because of her, but because I'm a decent guy . I wanted my tips back after dealing with her. I needed extra blankets and towels ,and never complained about anything all week...now my last night I have my two young sons and wife at happy hour, I ask for 2 Shirley Temples. She says "are they under 12?( With attitude)...( Uhh...) I said "yeah" me and guy at the bar lock eyes and understand she's being a total biatchhh ..... She's says ok, and proceeds to make one..I say, " sorry , no I need two" she says you need to pay for 2, you can only get one. I said..fine. She gives me one and I take it to boy of my kids. I walk back and she says "oh I didn't know u had two babys, u need to tell me that" I said , " I shouldn't have to specify I have two humans, I asked for two Shirley Temples " etc etc... Now....here's where my extra drink tickets come to play. I got. My 3-4 drink ( one drink ticket has two drinks on it) .. she goes " you know you only get two per night ". I said " ya ...but I have extra, do u wanna know why?" She ignores me...so I tell her and the people at the bar because my room had bed bugs they moved me and I have extra tickets and to call the manager if there is an. Issue....I even give away like 2-3 tickets to other guests because I wasn't gonna drink them all lol...Next thing I know she calls the manager, I talk to Robert. Robert is cool I explained what happened...and why Natalia is horrible at existing on earth and at Hilton. I can see he has issues with her, it's obvious to me , to the guest, and the staff. I even say I don't want her reprimanded, but she shouldn't be a bartender, where people are trying to have fun and she's trying to get tips... Natalia is the effing WORST!!!! I WOULDN'T hire her to turn on my faucet... honestly. People pay high prices for these rooms, are on vacation or visiting fam, or for work, etc... either way Hilton properties shouldn't have people like that representing them. I will update this review,if I get the gentlemans name that originally helped me... again, he was super helpful and when I had my issue he was extremely helpful, reward individuals Like that!!! I will also post pictures below of my BED BUGS and bed bug bites.

I was denied extra pillows despite explaining it was due to a medical need (something I've never been denied at any Hilton property before). The room's AC unit was extremely loud, constantly turning on and off throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. When I called the front desk, I was told they were at capacity and there was no one available to address it. The most concerning issue was the airport shuttle. It was overbooked by the hotel, and I was actually asked to let another guest sit in my lap during transport. That's not just uncomfortable--it's unsafe and completely unacceptable. When I contacted the hotel manager afterward to request a refund under Hampton's satisfaction guarantee, I was dismissed, told to "get over it," and the call was ended. I've stayed at Hampton Inns for years and have always had good experiences, which made this especially disappointing. Issues can happen anywhere, but the lack of resolution and professionalism here was the bigger problem.

Pros: The hotel itself is pretty good. My first time using digital key and I loved it. The hotel…read moreroom was clean and had a good floor plan. I loved that I could slide a barn door to close in the bedroom if needed. My room was close to elevator and the clean supply room so I was a little worried about outside noise. Although I only stayed over on a Monday night even without ever closing the bedroom door it was very quiet. I had a small issue with somehow dropping my phone down into the ice machine (horror) but maintenance was very responsive and quickly got it back for me. Housekeeping was very friendly. Front desk was ok, although I feel like they could have anticipated or understood my question better when I asked about hotel shuttle. They have a sign stating where the shuttle picks up. I asked about it but they just said that it was coreect, so then I made an an attempt to find the location on the sign. When I got back to the elevator and realized it didnt go down or anywhere that might be a level cars would park or etc. I went back and asked where to find the location. They said it was where the shuttle picked up at the airport. Then is said where does it pick up here. They asked when did I need it. I said now. They said ok they would add me to a list. So #1. Why would someone checking out of the hotel need to know where the airport shuttle picks up passengers at the airport. And even if that is useful information, shouldn't it also inform where or what is needed in order to get picked up at hotel. Specifically this would seem important if the check in line was long. #2 He never answered my question about where the shuttle picks up at hotel. Once i realized the shuttle sign was useless, I assumed it picked up outside the doors and it did but this entire exchange made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. Cons: breakfast had no flavor. I'm not expecting a lot from a free breakfast but usually the flavorless eggs have cheese or something you can add to the top to give it a little something. The vanilla pancake topped with whip cream and strawberries was ok but again very little flavor. Plus not something I could eat had I been on a hurry or had an early flight out. Other Hampton breakfasts do a little better job. Maybe Monday's are just not busy enough to warrant more.

They put our rooms into "maintenance" and only one of their computers worked to make keys so every time a key has to be remade it took 30+ minutes. The showers were so hot our group was literally peeling everytime they got out. There was either no water or scorching hot water. This happened in three of our four rooms. There was no pool as advertised. Our reservation said 4 people per room but the rooms come stocked with only two towels. They don't perform ANY housekeeping during your stay unless specifically requested. Even when requested they do the bare minimum. One room had the beds made and the garbage taken out. No additional towels, or toilet paper, they didn't even vacuum. Another room had the dirty towels taken away and that's it. There were exactly three people on staff that didn't seem like their life was so miserable that they had to take it out on everyone else around them. One was the shuttle driver and the other two were gentlemen who worked nights. Everyone else were not only clearly unhappy to be there but some of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with.
