Flight out of EWR early next morning. Boarding at 535 am, so we wanted someplace close. Shuttle picked us up at 330 and from hotel thru TSA PreChek and to gate took us 22 min. Room was great and we ate in the Bistro. Nothing in the immediate area. IHOP and a Ruby Tuesday that was temporarily closed. Nice food in the lobby restaurant. Best part is we had a "park and fly" rate that allowed 8 days free parking. We stayed six days before returning to EWR. A hang tag on the window is all we needed. Nice and we will stay again.

The Courtyard Marriott by Newark Airport is a decent and clean hotel. The staff is friendly and atmosphere is pleasant. They do have a little Starbucks coffee bar in the lobby. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds are comfortable. The restaurant is closed due to COVID. A decent hotel for a short stay.

Breakfast is good, coffee is great!

This place has been a lifesaver for me during an (unplanned) extended stay. The ambiance is relaxed, with several cozy spots to enjoy your delicious coffee in the morning, including the courtyard outside or peaceful inside corners to sit and read or work. What's more, the food outdoes both the IHOP and the (awful) Ruby Tuesday nearby, as well as many of the delivery services locally available. I had the chance to try much of their menu and was impressed with most all of it. From breakfast burritos, bagels and eggs to burgers, wings, bar snacks, sandwiches and salads, you really don't need to leave the hotel for food very often. Rooms are clean, as housekeeping staff is very personable and attentive throughout every day. The Bistro, front desk and bar staff are PHENOMENAL. You cannot fake genuine care, concern and an earnest interest in making your stay as good as it can be. I enjoyed chatting with each of the men and women working behind the plexi barriers. Giving them the ability to serve you while keep themselves and coworkers safe should be recognized and appreciated. There are enhanced cleaning features throughout, for the health and comfort of each guest and staff member. Manny, behind the bar and bistro, is second to none. He is personable, kind and a great conversationalist. His cheerful attitude and brilliant smile seem infectious as the mood after a long day lightens with him there. Seek him out during your stay, he delivers perfect service, interesting conversation and a good laugh anytime. Everyone was welcoming and made my stay a wonderful experience! Overall a perfect stay. Looking forward to my return!

This is a very nice 3 star hotel, but I'm bumping the rating another star because the hotel is kinda new and modern.. The rooms were clean and the beds were soft and comfy.. The Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall is also across the street, so it's convenient to shopping. There's a Ruby Tuesday and an I-hop within walking distance and of course the food court at the mall. Wi-Fi is complimentary which is always a plus. The nice lobby and relaxing area also has computer terminals and printers available if you forget your laptop. They have a free shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes, but be warned that the morning departures gets really full. The trip to NYC also takes time, money and good planing. It will cost you about $30 round trip and takes about an hour and a half to the city.

I normally love Courtyards but this one is awful! First of all, if you book online they dont tell you about the $25 parking fee til you ck in. This place is way over priced for what you get. Its filthy. Pictures can show. The elevator floor indicator is broken and it looks like mold is growing on the base of the inside. The room cleaning was done by someone who either doesnt know how or doesn't care. The front desk girl was indifferent and shouldn't be working with the public if she is tired of her job, which she clearly is. Dont stay here unless desperate.

No hot water this morning for a shower. When I called the front desk and asked if the hot water was out she replied "guess so". I said you guess so ?? She then told me she would find out and call me back. A half hour later I call down again and a different person said they will send somebody up to look at it. Nobody ever showed up. Nobody ever called to check on the situation. I called a third time to request a later check out because of all the waiting around we did for resolution. We had no choice but to take cold showers. Upon checking out nobody asked how our stay was or even made eye contact with us. The rooms were clean and quiet. The housekeeper that was working on the 5th floor is really, really kind and did a great job. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were the worst foam pillows I've ever slept on. It seems to be one of the better places to stay in the area for business but the weekend staff are not as competent as the weekday staff.

My favorite spot for breakfast their Bistro for avocado toast... yummy

I did have a refrigerator in my room, but a friend had to request one. While I was here, I reported standing water in the tub while in use twice. While the engineers were called, I gave up after the 3 time with standing water (so much eww). I also had the space above the tub start leaking - they fixed it the very next day, and removed $50 that night for my trouble (I declined to move, as I was there for a week, and had a lot of stuff.) No adjustments were made for the standing water. There were a few very lovely people staffing the hotel, including the shuttle drivers (5 stars there!) but also a few that were less lovely. When we went down to breakfast the first time (no free breakfast here), although the sign said to "please seat yourself," when our group attempted to do so, we were stopped, sent back to the front, only to be sat 7 minutes later at the exact table we tried to sit at. It was an experience for sure, but one I'm not eager to repeat.

That evening, the shuttle brought me back to the hotel. Next morning, again, shuttled to airport for my cruise pick up/transfer. The hotel, room, breakfast area, were all clean and comfortable. It was another 25 minutes before the van came, and he didn't stop at door 3 he went past door 3 to door 4. Once I got to the hotel I was told by the front desk they had no rooms available and it would be 2 1/2 hours before a room might be ready. It ended up being right at the 2 1/2 hours waiting for a room to be ready. The people at the front desk were nice and apologetic about it but still it was a bit of a pain and I wasn't the only one waiting. Having stayed at Embassy Suites several times before, the overall experience--rooms, breakfast, and amenities--was as expected: solid and reliable. What really stood out during this stay, however, was the service. Alejandro and Grant were both excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. Alejandro in particular went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, which made a real difference. The hotel itself is still in good shape, with well-maintained interiors and comfortable room furnishings. The location is also a big advantage. While it's close to the airport, there's also a large outlet mall nearby, along with an arcade, bowling alley, and several dining options--great for both adults and kids. One of the biggest benefits compared to staying in Manhattan is avoiding the hassle of traffic and expensive parking. From the hotel, it's about a 20-25 minute drive to the Holland Tunnel, making access to the city surprisingly easy. A nice bonus was the evening reception--snacks and drinks served by a very kind and attentive bartender and staff, which added to the overall positive experience. The only downside during our stay was that the pool was closed, which was a bit disappointing as it would have helped burn off some of the kids' energy. That said, it's a minor drawback compared to everything else the hotel offers. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable stay with excellent service. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I loved that I could slide a barn door to close in the bedroom if needed. My room was close to elevator and the clean supply room so I was a little worried about outside noise. Although I only stayed over on a Monday night even without ever closing the bedroom door it was very quiet. I had a small issue with somehow dropping my phone down into the ice machine (horror) but maintenance was very responsive and quickly got it back for me. Housekeeping was very friendly. Front desk was ok, although I feel like they could have anticipated or understood my question better when I asked about hotel shuttle. They have a sign stating where the shuttle picks up. I asked about it but they just said that it was coreect, so then I made an an attempt to find the location on the sign. When I got back to the elevator and realized it didnt go down or anywhere that might be a level cars would park or etc. I went back and asked where to find the location. They said it was where the shuttle picked up at the airport. Then is said where does it pick up here. They asked when did I need it. I said now. They said ok they would add me to a list. So #1. Why would someone checking out of the hotel need to know where the airport shuttle picks up passengers at the airport. And even if that is useful information, shouldn't it also inform where or what is needed in order to get picked up at hotel. Specifically this would seem important if the check in line was long. #2 He never answered my question about where the shuttle picks up at hotel. Once i realized the shuttle sign was useless, I assumed it picked up outside the doors and it did but this entire exchange made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. Cons: breakfast had no flavor. I'm not expecting a lot from a free breakfast but usually the flavorless eggs have cheese or something you can add to the top to give it a little something. The vanilla pancake topped with whip cream and strawberries was ok but again very little flavor. Plus not something I could eat had I been on a hurry or had an early flight out. Other Hampton breakfasts do a little better job. Maybe Monday's are just not busy enough to warrant more.

I was denied extra pillows despite explaining it was due to a medical need (something I've never been denied at any Hilton property before). The room's AC unit was extremely loud, constantly turning on and off throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. When I called the front desk, I was told they were at capacity and there was no one available to address it. The most concerning issue was the airport shuttle. It was overbooked by the hotel, and I was actually asked to let another guest sit in my lap during transport. That's not just uncomfortable--it's unsafe and completely unacceptable. When I contacted the hotel manager afterward to request a refund under Hampton's satisfaction guarantee, I was dismissed, told to "get over it," and the call was ended. I've stayed at Hampton Inns for years and have always had good experiences, which made this especially disappointing. Issues can happen anywhere, but the lack of resolution and professionalism here was the bigger problem.
