Made an appointment for my new Dog for a rabbies shot, was brought into a room by an attendant no problem polite etc. then she left a few minutes later another gal came in and looked at my dogs teeth and mentioned some tarter and lifted up my dogs leg and was in maybe 3 minutes maybe 2.5 min. As she turned to leave I politetly asked her name as i had asked the previous gals name, I like to know whom I'm talking to she said Dr Strunk and left. I had a deeply troubling experience with this veterinary clinic. Similar to what another commenter described, we were told that our puppy might not survive and were pressured to pay thousands of dollars for treatment. Despite assuring the vet that we were willing to cover the costs because we believed our puppy would survive, they took our dog for "treatment" and then refused to return him to us. The vet claimed the puppy would stay in their facility overnight, which they described as "dark and cold," leaving us to question what we were even paying for if he wouldn't be properly cared for. Despite repeated attempts to get updates, the staff, including someone named Megan, failed to provide clear communication. Megan initially promised to tell us where they were sending our dog, possibly to a shelter (Not sure why our dog needed to go to a shelter when he's OUR dog and we have a beautiful home and food for him with his brothers as proof.) but later blocked our attempts to reach her on multiple phone numbers. Months have passed, and we have neither seen our puppy nor received any meaningful updates about his condition. We suspect the worst--that they may have euthanized him--and yet they continue to demand thousands of dollars from us. Our puppy's two brothers are still waiting for him at home, and we remain heartbroken. I strongly advise against bringing your pets here. This clinic seems more focused on profiting from their services than genuinely caring for animals.(Hence why they are mostly a breeding clinic.) read more

I have been a patient for over 10 years for my dogs. Since the pandemic it has been almost impossible to get an appointment within a day or two if your animal is sick. The receptionists are not compassionate or loyal to long standing customers. The prices have gone up substantially. I would NOT recommend this vet office. read more

I took my 6 year mountain Bernese dog there last week he was gagging a lot and not acting right charged me 880.00dollars for blood tests and said nothing was wrong with him he was getting worse went to Crawford Animal hospital they just called and said he has cancer through his whole body my poor dog was suffering they're putting him down as I 'm writing this.{had surgery yesterday so couldn't go there}.I don't want this to happen to you.I don't believe they took any tests something would have showed in those blood test. read more

We have been using Hilton Vet Hospital for 27 years. I worked at a local vet office and have picked up or dropped off dogs or medication that I was fostering. So, I am familiar with local vet offices. The front desk staff is very professional and knowledgeable about the procedures and processes of their office. We have seen Dr. Bostley and Dr Lenhard. We love them both. They have huge hearts and really care about the best for your pets. They explain your options and consequences of them so you can make an informed decision for your pet. read more

this clinic will rob you and take decisions on their own without telling you exactly what should be done or when to come back. for example. I had my female done a surgical there did a progesterone test there which never got results back until a week later that I asked for it. (7.7 results) anyways I didn't get told to come back 48-72 hrs laters they instead did surgical the next morning within 24hrs knowing it was way to early to do it still did it charge me and sent me home 10hrs drive and when I emailed them about the results and what were the levels they considered to do surgical they keep changing answers and giving the long answers. when I told them I understood not all litters take that I was asking questions because I felt like I was being rob by them they just ignored me from there I've sent a couple more emails and no answers. let's not mention the short smiles and short answers I got in person. read more

I have been going to Hilton Vet for a while with my dogs and just started taking my cat there as well for annual visits in the past year and I get his nails trimmed typically every 7 weeks. I was very surprised today when they told me the nail trim for my cat is now $36.60 when it takes them literally 4 minutes to do his nails with a vet tech as he is a very easy manageable cat. The previous price 7 weeks ago was $16.20. I had absolutely zero warning of this incredibly huge price increase for such a simple task. Be aware, they are under new ownership and I am not sure what other prices have increased but based on this one service being increased so much I won't be taking my cat back there for nail trims, probably also won't for annual exams either, and it's probably time to start shopping for another a place not price gouging. In any case be sure to ask for prices first before doing anything there then make your decision on whether to proceed. It's a shame as I really like certain vets at this practice but their new pricing is going to make me considering moving on with my entire crew once I find a suitable new vet. read more

I have bulldogs so I frequent the vets office. The Doctors here are stellar! Dr Mitchell just called me on a Friday and spoke with me about a situation with my dog. I am so impressed that they follow up with me, they explain to me and they listen to me. Dr Lenhard is so patient. I cannot say enough about the quality of care and response to my concerns. Unprofessional staff who give sub-standard care. The staff prescribes the most expensive treatment without considering if it is the best solution for the pet. We have taken our 9lb pomapoo to Hilton vet for 14yrs. I called this morning and got an appointment for TODAY at 4:45. We met a new vet today, Dr. Walker. She was awesome. Our little guy is 16 and afraidof most people and situations. Dr. Walker wasn't in a hurry, she was patient and kind. Obviously we have met most of the doctors and each one is great. The techs and office staff are friendly and polite. I can't say enough good things about Hilton Veterinary Hospital. read more

My beautiful Airedale had diarrhea for several weeks. I brought her in and they put her on antibiotics for one week. After one week, she still wasn't much better, but showed a little improvement. I asked if she should go on for longer at a higher dose. They said no, we want to do an ultrasound. Before the ultrasound, the vet did blood work. She came back in and said her platelets were very low. Then she took her back for the ultrasound. She came back and said my dog had an enlarged spleen and that they aspirated her spleen during the ultrasound (WITHOUT MY CONSENT). I tried to trust their decision, but I knew aspirating her spleen when she had no platelets was wrong bc platelets are what makes your blood clot. But, never did I expect what would happen to her, next. Never. That night the spot where they had given her sub q fluids bled and bled. I was finally able to stop it by applying a bandage and pressure. But how could I do that on her internally? The aspiration was on a Thursday. They set an appt for the following Tuesday to get the results. I watched my dog go from a dog with diarrhea and some fatigue to a dog who began losing the color in the pinks of her eyes. By Monday morning I couldn't wait any more and I called as soon as they opened and asked them to see her again. Now they were saying she could have cancer (even though the labs weren't back yet) so they did an X-ray but found no masses. They repeated the ultrasound and saw no masses. They claimed the 2nd ultrasound showed no internal bleeding but I was watching my dog's body shape changing as she was bloating outward and watching with horror as the pink in her eyes was becoming more and more pale. They tried giving her a "chemo" drug meant to increase her platelets and gave her several steroids and put her on doxycycline. I was completely overwhelmed with it all and begging them to solve what was wrong. By Tuesday, I knew the spleen was enlarged and now punctured by their procedure and we thought it should be removed. They said they couldn't remove it now bc her platelets were zero. They said she would need a transfusion to do it and we would have to take her to Cornell. We raced her down to Cornell with the Vet's referral. We thought we were going there for a blood transfusion and removal of the clearly malfunctioning and injured spleen. You can't get into Cornell's emergency dept without a Vet referral and Hilton Vet decided to send my dog as cancer patient, even though the cytology from the spleen they punctured was not conclusive. (It should be noted here that several years earlier, this same Vet removed a growth from the same dog's lip and sent it to pathology. They called me then and told me this dog had cancer then, too. Then they called me back a few hours later and said the lab report was very poorly worded and that my dog did not, in fact, have cancer) However, Hilton Vet referred me to an oncologist at Cornell. When we got there, expecting a transfusion and emergency splenectomy, we were sent into a loop of insanity beyond belief as day one, day two, day three passed and Cornell was not taking any steps to save our incredibly sick and dying dog's life. They admitted her into ICU and had her on fluids and fentanyl. They insisted that it would be unethical to remove the dog's spleen if she did in fact have cancer. We told them about the last false alarm when Hilton Vet said our dog had cancer. They asked for the x-rays and ultra-sound images from Hilton Vet. Hilton Vet said the images were not good enough to send. So Cornell had to rely on nothing but a cytology report that came back inconclusive from a lab that had misread my dogs labs before. Now they had to rerun all of her tests. We did not le them do another aspiration of her spleen. The only grounds under which Cornell's oncology drs were willing to do a blood transfusion was for a different diagnostic procedure that offered no life saving ability. They wanted to put her under general anesthesia and drill a hole into her bone to extract her marrow to see if she had cancer. If she survived that, results would not be back for a week. Meanwhile, my dog was getting more bloated and weaker and dying before my eyes. The areas on her that once resembled pink tissue such as the eyes, the ears, were now completely white. After torturing her for 3 days in Cornell with zero life saving attempts made bc we had been sent to an oncology department, we went and picked her up. She never got the transfusion she needed. She never got the splenectomy. She died the next day in our arms, 9 days after getting her "ultrasound" and having a hole poked in her spleen without the platelets to make it clot. Maybe someday, I will find a way to forgive, but it's not today. read more

I have been taking my dogs to Hilton Vet for over 10 years now. Recently my elderly chi has begun to decline & has required more care. Everyone who works there has treated me with kindness & compassion as I have become a frequent flyer & can be emotional about my furbaby. Dr. Shemanski in particular is wonderful with senior dogs, I can't say enough how supportive she has been. She is also very knowledgeable about the care of older pets with health issues. Been going to Hilton Veterinary Hospital for years now.We had to put down are Russian Blue(Skye)a few months ago and Doctor Cousins was great and the women in the office were nice.First time I ever had to put down a pet.It's so hard and she is missed everyday!!!We now have four cats-Two barn cats and two indoor cats.I had to bring the one barn cat in a few weeks ago and was seen by Doctor Danielle Shemanski she was so nice and give Whisk the care you would want a Doctor to give.I have nothing but good things to say about Hilton Hospital!! read more

Came back from a vacation to find my cat unwell. Her vet has small practice and unavailable till June. Upon suggestion, Hilton vetionary was suggested. Overwhelmed with my cat's condition, put my trust with the vet. He did a basic exam, recommended blood work, injections for infection and dehydration. Per his evaluation, left my pet with them to administer the meds and returned one hour later. At which time, was escorted to the examination room. The first person to enter was a billing clerk with my bill. Once paid the vet came in to provide his analysis and indicated if her condition did not improve would require further testing for kidney/cancer. Her condition did not improve. Friends and family express ed concern that all testing should have been conducted. Monday, May 21st, brought her to another vet. Within a few minutes she saw visible signs of cancer in her mouth and showed me. The cancer was highly visible and had her put to rest. This should have never gone to this extreme. My experience was humiliating and emotionally draining. May I also share with you that the vet kept referring to my furry baby as a male instead of female. This vet was just welcomed to their practice this month. Finally, why was I treated like a low life by this practice. My observation of other people paying bills was done after the visit at the desk and NOT IN AN EXAMINATION ROOM. Nothing can erase this negative experience, the sadness seeing my loving pet suffer and the lack of humanity she did not deserved. read more
