While I don't want to share all my secrets, it's important to let everyone know about a small,…read morewoman-owned business that is doing everything right! Mary is the Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and owner of Epitome Med Spa and I've been very happy with every interaction we've had! From early emails asking about gift cards and price, to exchanging Yelp Messages to schedule an initial appointment, and the two times I've been in the spa, she has been wonderful! When talking about neurotoxins, she gave me the rundown of what she has (all of them), how some people prefer one type over the other, what she uses on herself, etc. Once we decided, then it was about how much and we took a moderate approach, as you can always get more if needed, but you can't really undo it if it's too much. After 2 weeks, I called for a follow-up appointment, as a couple areas needed a little touch up. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! But, before I left, I was able to get a quick and inexpensive quote for some milia diathermy, which I will schedule after my vacation. As many have said, Mary doesn't try to upsell you on other products, even though I'm sure her expert opinion has some other procedures in mind for all the faces she sees, lol! There is an easy-to-miss narrow turn to go into the parking lot right after the spa (which is immediately next door to Casalena). There are also meters in front that offer 2-hour parking. If you're looking for non-surgical intervention for your skin, go see Mary!

There are ongoing legal claims against LaserAway (2025) about deceptive sales practices, where…read morecustomers say they were misled into buying extra treatments without clear consent. I had a very concerning experience with LaserAway that people should know about. The sales tactics are aggressive--they keep pushing you to sign up for more treatments, and it becomes really confusing what you're actually agreeing to. In August 2025, I had just lost my job and was focused on paying off existing balances, which is reflected in the ~$6,300 payment I made to Comenity that same month. I was trying to eliminate debt--not take on more. Around that time, I reached out to LaserAway asking for the lender information so I could pay everything off. During that interaction, something shifted. They started reviewing my account, saying I had "value" or "credits," and that they could "update" or "take care of it." I was sent something digitally, and if anything was signed, it was done quickly and under stress, without it being clearly explained that THIS WAS A NEW $5,155 FINANCING AGREEMENT FOR 6 TREATMENTS. My mindset was that I was closing things out--not signing up for more. However, I was signed up for 6 additional treatments without my clear understanding. Then in March 2026, I went back just to ask if I had any leftover credits--completely unaware there was a $5,155 balance. They told me I did and encouraged me to use them, which made everything seem normal. Then in April 2026, Comenity/Alphaeon started calling my dad (who has nothing to do with this account) saying I was overdue and adding late fees. That's when I realized what happened. The financing was done through Alphaeon/Comenity, and I was not clearly told I was opening a credit account or taking on a new balance. I only realized this 7-8 months later, and by then I was told it was too late to dispute. Another major concern is that neither LaserAway nor Alphaeon/Comenity have provided a signed contract showing I knowingly agreed to this $5,155 balance--only a receipt and generic confirmation, which does not prove informed consent. Also, this charge was processed through the Glendale location, even though I consistently go to Woodland Hills and Calabasas, and almost all my prior receipts are from those locations--not Glendale. In the past, I've also been told I was receiving complimentary facials or lotions, but was later charged without my knowledge. When I called it out, I was told the assistant involved was no longer there, which shows a pattern of unclear or unauthorized charges. It's extremely difficult to get help--calls go unanswered, and in person they refused a full refund. From my experience, you go in to manage your account, but instead get digital forms via text/email that lead to more charges without clear explanation, and by the time you realize it, they say it's too late to dispute. If this happens to you, read everything carefully and don't sign anything unless you fully understand it. You can also file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/ CONTACT THE CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE A SETUP WHERE LASERAWAY HITS YOU WITH HIDDEN CHARGES AND COMENITY/ALPHAEON GIVES YOU A SHORT WINDOW TO DISPUTE, LEAVING YOU STUCK WITH THE BILL.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience with Irina!…read more After a lot of research, I chose EllEve for my wellness journey, and I'm so glad I did. Irina was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The moment I sat down with her, I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. What really impressed me was how much she genuinely cared about my health and overall well-being. She didn't just talk about treatment options--she took the time to learn about my goals, answer all of my questions, and explain everything thoroughly. I never felt rushed, pressured, or like "just another patient." Irina is incredibly knowledgeable, but what makes her stand out is her compassion. She emphasized safety, follow-up care, and monitoring my progress, which gave me so much confidence in the process. It's clear that she truly wants the best outcomes for her patients. The entire experience at EllEve was professional, welcoming, and positive. If you're considering weight loss treatment or any wellness services, I highly recommend scheduling with Irina. Finding a provider who combines expertise with genuine kindness is rare, and she is truly a gem. Thank you, Irina, for making me feel supported, informed, and excited about my health journey. I can't wait to continue working with you!

MASSIVE SAFETY VIOLATIONS AND CONSUMER FRAUD -- BEWARE! Do…read morenot be fooled by Irina's friendly demeanor. EllEve Med Spa is a major safety hazard operating purely out of greed. If you care about what goes into your skin or who is touching your body, look elsewhere. Consumer Fraud & Medication Falsification: Irina routinely engages in predatory consumer fraud. She pre-mixes neurotoxins in back rooms and pulls out pre-drawn syringes when you aren't looking. You think you are paying for premium Botox, but she is secretly injecting you with cheaper alternatives like Xeomin to lower her own costs while charging you top dollar. She is also unethical enough to take free company product samples meant for demonstration and sell them to unsuspecting clients at full market value. Illegal "Paper Doctor" Setup & Charting Fraud: But the most terrifying part of this business is the blatant medical illegality. The spa advertises that they operate under a Medical Director, Dr. Steven Rosenblatt. Do not let this fool you. Dr. Rosenblatt has never stepped foot in this office. He is a medical director entirely on paper to create a false illusion of safety. Because the doctor is completely absent, Irina handles all the paperwork herself. She performs and signs off on the mandatory "Good Faith Exams" under the guise of her Nurse Practitioner (NP) status. But under California law, an NP cannot use their license to falsify medical charts, write down "Botox" when injecting cheap alternatives, or use a paper director to completely bypass physician oversight. Unlicensed Personnel Doing Dangerous Medical Procedures: Because there is zero real doctor supervision, Irina has her licensed esthetician, Emjay, performing invasive medical procedures like microneedling and plasma pen skin tightening. California law explicitly prohibits estheticians from performing these treatments because they burn the skin, cause scabbing, and cross the line into the practice of medicine. Irina cannot legally delegate these procedures to an esthetician, making this a textbook case of aiding and abetting the unlicensed practice of medicine. Zero Client Dignity: To top it all off, client dignity is nonexistent here. If you get laser hair removal done on your private areas, expect Irina to gossip, laugh, and joke with her staff about your body and personal hygiene behind your back. A business owner who steals from patients, falsifies charts to cover for an absent doctor, gossips about clients' private parts, and employs unlicensed personnel to perform deep tissue medical treatments shouldn't have a business license at all. Run, don't walk, away from this place.

I would absolutely not recommend this laser center to anyone…read more They enforce a 48-hour cancellation policy, but when you actually try to call to cancel, you're stuck on hold forever and the automated system says they'll call you back, which they never do. I attempted multiple times to reach someone and couldn't get through. I even messaged them more than 24 hours ahead of my appointment explaining that my son and I had the flu, and they still charged me a cancellation fee. On top of that, their membership system feels like a trap. I've accumulated multiple laser facial sessions that I haven't been able to use because I got sick twice last year and had to take antibiotics. For laser treatments, you have to wait until you finish the antibiotics plus another 10 days before you can even resume services. Meanwhile, the sessions just pile up. The worst part is that you can't redeem any of those sessions unless your membership is currently active, so you're basically forced to keep paying or lose services you already paid for. To make matters worse, two separate times my lash extensions were burned off during treatments, and when I complained about it, nothing was done. No compensation, no attempt to make it right. Between the impossible cancellation system, unfair membership rules, and poor customer service, this place feels like it's designed to take your money rather than actually care about clients.

Save your money and go to a smaller laser company that actually cares. I went to SEV for 6 sessions…read moreon my upper lip and side burns; the nurses obviously aren't equipped with the right knowledge so my face was actually stimulating hair growth in places I'd never seen before because they were going over areas I didn't have growth in. Every session was the nurse asking ME which level I did before/what I want to do. They also changed machines after my second session where the nurse literally said "those laser machines didn't work well, these are better" -- so you're telling me I wasted my first two sessions using a bad laser?? So happy I found a better laser company now that actually knows what they're doing and are educated in this area to tell me what to do/not to do.
