During a recent trip to Glenwood, we stopped in here for some cuisine we can't get locally. The place is huge, I think it was a Mexican restaurant before? We sat at the bear and there were at least 8 taps. I'm guessing they get pretty busy, but we were the only ones there besides another couple. 3 PM on a Sunday I guess. My wife got a wine and I stuck with water. Our server came over and took our order. We decided to share the Tandoori Chicken. Man what a treat! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the momo sauce was so good I'm going to try to make it. We should have ordered a lot more. They forgot my garlic naan, but I was already full anyway. The meal was fantastic and a fairly big portion. We're definitely coming back here. It's so close to the I-70 exit, easy in easy off. This place is super good and a gem! More people need to stop in! Patio is awesome but owners can definitely capitalize on it better! Appears slow sadly but food is incredible! We got momos, curry, goat biryani, tandoori chicken and the fried veggie app (forget the name) and naan! Some staff is on point while others need more training but the food is yummy! One didn't know his beers but all was good when another staff member was able to help. Would come again! Also, has breakfast here too during our stay and similar feedback. Good food, okay staff. Only tip, utilize space inside and out and keep training staff! Looks empty but shouldn't be! The food can compete with across the bridge but the ambiance inside needs help to really compete. They are now open for breakfast! We had a really nice meal with 7 of us. Everything is made from scratch and we loved the service, quality of food and the wonderful couple who prepare it all. Went in for a late lunch about 1:30 but ended up being an early dinner by the time we left at 3:30. We were the only customers in restaurant, with servers sitting at booths and tables eating and on phones. We had to get up several times to find server for drink refills. Took 30 mins for Samosa appetizer to come out. When meal came they forgot the naan we ordered so mentioned it again, and right before finishing main dish they said the naan will be out shortly. I ended up telling them to cancel the naan since i was done with meal. Food was good but service is lacking significantly. Bathroom could use some service too. This is a great place to come for breakfast. Right when we walked in we were greeted warmly. Throughout service we were checked on regularly. The food was great, one of the top breakfast that week. I had an omelette with meat and it was grilled perfectly. My wife had French toast which she enjoyed. We took banana and lemon triple berry bread for the road. This place sucks sooo much. Starting off they was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. We ordered our drinks and that took more than ten minutes to get and one of the drinks was apple juice but the glass was half full because somehow they ran out of juice. But it's fine the atmosphere is nice and we order the food. Big mistake. Our flipping food took a WHOLE hour to get and there was only 3 other tables. And we ordered the breakfast burrito but they fricking ran out of tortillas so they had to go to the damm store to get it. Finally when they get it out to us they say that the printer didn't print the order for the burrito and like wtf. This restaurant sucks please do not come here. read more

I absolutely love the Cucumber Potato Salad and the Avocado Quinoa Salad. I eat them regularly for lunch and dinner. Sometimes the service has been spotty. If I am in a hurry, I choose another place. But the two items I mentioned above are completely worth waiting for. read more

This was our first time having Nepalese cuisine but the server was very kind and helped us order some of his favorites, including the Veggie Pakoda and Chicken Jhol Momo. The new Himalayan Restaurant on 6th near Hotel Colorado is wonderful. The cold potato salad was surprisingly delicious. Just enough spice to keep us wanting more but not uncomfortably heat. A great start. Then we shared a yummy main that was kind of like chicken dumplings in this sauce I couldn't get enough of. Between my husband and myself, we shared the potato salad, the main, an order of rice and garlic naan bread. Took home plenty for another meal! Stopped by a couple of nights later for the music on the patio with the jazz Pat & Larry Duo. Danced and really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back for sure. read more

It's in an ideal location for travelers on I-70 as it's near the first exit for travelers going west, 2nd exit for those going east, at the roundabout by Kum&Go gas. It has a large outdoor seating area and very spacious inside, just a block from the Colorado Hotel and 2 blocks from the Glenwood Hot Springs pool. The Nepalese team focuses on traditional Nepalese food. Dal is the national dish of lentils and I highly recommend Dal Makali that has distinctive seasoning. My friends had the lamb curry when we were there together and said that was delicious. For desert try the carrot desert for a sweet, unique treat. Listed as a sweet appetizer, we ate for desert Tamari. It was delicious. There are a wide range of dishes and this is what I tasted and enjoyed enormously. read more

A mixed review. As for the food....fabulous! A truly Himalayan spin on what often ends up Indian dishes in Nepalese restaurants. Wonderful flavorings. The food will keep us coming back. Now the bad.... The wait staff needs serious customer training. Slow...extremely slow to take your order, fill your empty glass, greet new customers, bring your check, etc. seemed to be more interested in being absent than attention to customers. One woman came in, waited 15 min, then left in disgust. Was never acknowledged by the staff, who were absent. In the back of the room? Who knows where? Come on people!!! You've got a great thing here, but you'll lose it if the customers aren't being attended to. Hopefully this was their 1st week being open and customer attention errors will be fixed. We wanted to find the food and service good, but did not. When we arrived there was one other table that was already served. Basically the restaurant was empty. We asked for help to choose something we would like, but did not get it. We found our order - particularly the sauce - too spicy. We asked for a milder sauce and was told there was none. Basically we felt unwelcome and while we paid the bill, felt ripped off and in the way. While this is one experience, we will never go back. It just feels to me that when one goes to a restaurant, which for me at least is an occasional treat, you should feel welcome, have questions asked answered well, have the food be good and not feel ripped off. If others come and feel that way, this place will not be in business. That is sad because food of variety is welcome here. read more

YUCK. As a physician, this place is a health hazard to be honest. This has to be the worst food experiences ever. Food is tasteless, stale and undercooked. Wait time for everything from plates, cutlery to the food is unbearable. I literally ate food in the saucer of my cup. The flour used for chapati was gross as it tasted rubbery. It's a total rip off for the quality, quantity and dining experience. The staff did not even apologise and were very nonchalant about their conduct and people's incessant wait. We tried this restaurant because it was an easy walk from our hotel. They had just had their grand opening a few days before. The food was excellent, as was the customer service. The 1-10 scale of heat seemed inconsistent across our dishes (8 people). The food took a long time to arrive, but our glasses of water were replenished frequently. The owner (or manager?) came to our table to ask for our feedback, and was very receptive to our suggestions. We found out that the reason our food took so long is because the momo dough is handmade in house. I assume the timing will improve once they get in idea of their typical customer load, and more practice in pacing their preparations. There was also a mix up with the portion size of the daal makhani and our bill was discounted accordingly. The furnishings are currently very minimal, so the ambience could be improved a bit, and one of the staff kept walking by with a dolly of dishware, so maybe the flow of operations also needs some adjustment. read more
