    Chicken curry was awesome!

A hardy meal for after ski nourishment. The place is small and cozy, the service is great and the food is amazing. The garlic naan bread is a must with any dish. The Sherpa Stew is a must have. Portions are very filling. Skip the appetizer.

Entrance to restaurant. There's an outdoor patio as well.

The service was fantastic. The restaurant is adorable and the food scrumptious. We had the saag paneer, shrimp masala and chicken tikka as well as samosas and garlic naan. Omg, it was fabulous.

Everything was outstanding! The food, hospitality, and tranquil outdoor atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

Got into Crested Butte Sunday evening and set out for dinner after a long day of travel. Turns out there's not a ton open on Sundays in CB, but Sherpa Cafe was there for us and they did a great job! You can sit indoors or outdoors; the inside is snug and cozy with not a ton of seating. The single-person bathroom was clean and tidy. We were happy to hang out outside and people watch. Service was very polite and sweet and got our orders out quickly and efficiently. We shared orders of samosas, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and chicken momo. The samosas were light and crispy, not greasy at all, and came with a lightly spicy dipping sauce that we all liked. The chicken tikka masala was super creamy, maybe a little on the sweet side compared to other versions I've had, but still delicious with the perfectly aromatic basmati rice. Weirdly enough, the garlic naan was the weak link -- it wasn't buttery / crispy enough for me. Still enjoyed it, but I've had better. Lastly, the chicken momo were tender, flavorful, and numerous. We don't have anywhere to get momo in our home town so they are always a huge treat! Thanks to Sherpa Cafe for such a pleasant first evening in CB!

In these covid times it's great to eat outside on their patio. They set up metal picnic tables under the beautiful Crested Butte sky. Firstly, you go inside to order your food and they will come outside and bring it to you. The family and the waiter are all very friendly and wonderful. The chai tea is particularly delicious with great overtones of cinnamon while the Mango Lassi has great smooth yogurt taste. I highly recommend both. The garlic naan bread is delicious with any entree you order. The mimosas are particularly well-cooked. The breading is nicely browned and crispy. I would definitely give this place a try if you are in Crested Butte.

Best place to eat in crested butte! Even if you're unsure of Himalayan/Indian food, I promise you will LOVE Sherpa Cafe. The food is absolutely delicious. We almost didn't come here, even though it's rated #1 on Yelp in CB. But I'm so glad we did because it was the best food. Reservations - they don't take reservations or follow a waitlist. If there's a table, you'll get it, if not, you can wait around until one becomes available. TIP - 5pm-6pm is not busy. Come after a day of skiing or hiking and you'll get a table easily. Evenings are more packed and you may see a line out the door. Drinks - a very small drink menu of some wines and beers. Nothing fancy. Don't expect to come here for drinks. The food is why you come here. TIP - grab a drink a the dogwood before or after dinner. Food - I don't know where to start because everything was amazing. But here's a go: 1. Naan bread - GET IT. As an app, with your meal, any which way. Garlic and cheese. We ended up ordering 2 or 3. 2. Chicken Momo (dumplings) - everyone was ordering these so we felt like we had to. Not as appetizing as I had imagined, but still good. 3. Lamb chow main - if you aren't sure you like Indian spices, order this! Very mild and super yummy. Sort of reminds me of Chinese vegetable lo mein 4. Sherpa Stew - holy crap this was DELICIOUS. One of the most popular menu items. Mild in Indian spices but loaded with so much flavor. Get it! 5. Chicken tikka masala - another amazing classic Indian dish. Superb flavor 6. Traditional chicken curry - perfectly executed! Full of amazing Indian spices, super yummy Portions - All portion sizes are pretty big. For 4 of us, we definitely had some leftovers Love Sherpa cafe and wish we had one back home!

Sherpa Cafe always hits the spot. I love their saag, chicken makhani and the Korma is fabulous, too. Excellent and expedient service.

It's always nice to see a Nepalese/ Indian place in a small mountain town. Good samosas. I'd like to go back when they're done remodeling.

This is hands-down one of our favorite Nepalese restaurants anywhere in the area. We're a ski…read moreracing family, and every time we're in Aspen, we make a point to carve out one night to drive over to Carbondale for dinner here--it's become a tradition. We've been several times and worked our way through a good chunk of the menu, and everything has been consistently delicious: deeply flavorful, authentic Nepalese comfort food that feels both special and soul-warming. The owners always seem to be there, greeting everyone with big smiles, and they're genuinely gracious and welcoming. The space is cozy, warm, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that beautifully reflect their heritage. 10/10--and then some. If you're craving incredible Nepalese cuisine, do yourself a favor and go. You'll be planning your next visit before you finish your meal.

This little place is located next to the gas station and it was easy to find a parking spot. When I…read morewalked in their was a delicious waft of spices so I was excited. The gentleman that assisted me was SO nice and helpful. I had an opportunity to look over the menu online so I went in knowing what I wanted. I ordered the Chicken Momo with a side of Garlic Naan. Everything arrived quickly and the lady who gave me my food also gave me a sample of their rice pudding. I thought that was so nice and a very kind touch. As for the food, my review is based on my experience only. The Garlic Naan was nicely wrapped that kept it warm until I got to my hotel. I was so excited to see all the garlic that was added. This is what I wanted. It was crisp, light, and delicious for $5.00. The Chicken Momo was a little different. The skins were nice and thin and allowed the filling to shine. Unfortunately, my chicken filling was very dry. They do provide 4 different sauces to dip the dumplings in which was a nice touch. However, there wasn't enough to go through all the dumplings. The win for this meal was definitely the service and Garlic Naan. The miss was the Chicken Momo for $19.95.
