I gave a 4 Star Rating because of Used Car Salesperson James, My name is Pamela and it is my hope that my complaint/concern reaches the owner of Hines Park Lincoln of Plymouth, MI. I visited your dealership on Monday, April 07, 2025, with the hope of purchasing a preowned certified Lincoln Nautilus. I met with salesperson James of Preowned vehicles. James was courteous and patient while assisting me with locating the Lincoln Nautilus of my specifications. I desire to purchase a Lincoln Nautilus that has a silver exterior and a roast colored interior in the year (s) of 2023-2025. I do have a budget of $40, 000. James showed me a 2023 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label, vehicle identification number of 2LMPJ9JP9PBL14721. This vehicle is silver with a Flight Theme interior, similar to the roast color. As I was test driving this vehicle, I instantly had to have this vehicle, my dream car. James was very transparent and explained to me that Hines Lincoln is very firm with their vehicle prices and that there is no room for negotiating and Used Car Manager Mason confirmed this. Knowing this didn't stop me from wanting to purchase this vehicle. I called the dealership and requested to speak with the Finance Manager of Used Sales. I received a call back from Mr. Mike Blackmer. I explained to Mr. Blackmer my desire to purchase this vehicle and asked if they would be willing work with me on the sales price. Mr. Blackmer explained to me the same thing that James did regarding Hines Park being firm on their pricing. I expressed to Mr. Blackmer how much I wanted this vehicle and that I could go to $50, 000, even though this was above my budget. Mr. Blackmer offered to check with James regarding checking for something within my budget but I explained how much I wanted the Lincoln Nautilus Black Label that I took for a test drive and asked if he could assist me. I explained to him that James did explain to me that there was no negotiating pricing but I figured I would still ask. Mr. Blackmer advised that he would check with Mason and give me a call back. Mr. Blackmer advised me that Mason was willing to allow the sale to be $50,000 with the stipulation that the financing would have to be handled by Lincoln and I would not be allowed to finance the vehicle through the credit union that I bank with. This had my mind racing and I said that I would complete the finance application. This did not sit well with me and to be honest it really bothered me. I was under the impression that the dealership's goal was to happily sell vehicles to the consumer and this stipulation did not make me happy. It made me feel boxed in with no option and although the saving would give me a little over a $1,000 which isn't much at all, really bothers me. This option presented to me by Mr. Blackmer made me question my moral compass and ask myself would I be able to treat a consumer the way that I was being treated if things were reversed and my answer was no, I truly wanted this vehicle but this is not a good business practice. I did some research and I know what your dealership is doing is legal but it is not right and it is not good business. I'm sure all your consumers weren't treated like I was and this is why you are successful. I just want my voice to be heard and hope that no one else is treated like I was after expressing how much I really wanted this vehicle. This place used to be soo good!! What happened?! The salespeople are rude and not helpful. I contacted two and both did not work with me. I won't name names, but I kept being harassed by one, after I said the price was not in my range and they still kept calling. If you have the option of going ANYWHERE else for vehicle work do it. Eveytime we come to this establishment we are given nothing short of terrible service. To begin with we are constantly left waiting by our vehicles as if we are ghosts and they see through us. Secondly, we got work done on our brakes and after getting home the interior of the vehicle had GREASE MARKS on the glove compartment. Third, they have broken a rosary that was hanging around my rear view mirror. Found the beads on the floor, in my cup holders, and on the seat. I'm TTO and I drop cars off at service on a regular basis. There is an old lady service rep that gets really angry with me every time I have to deal with her. This last drop off was no exception. All I did was ask her who do I see to drop off keys. She immediately got an attitude with me, per usual, then proceeded to forcefully throw the keys onto the counter. I don't know about the rest of the service folks, but the old lady with dark hair and glasses sure seems mad that I'm bringing this dealership business. What a great way to represent Heinz park. While I certainly wouldn't try to prevent one of my customers from going there, I'm definitely not recommending this place to any of my customers anymore. read more

I purchased a 2015 MKC, it had 11,382 miles. One owner leased. the first two years the car was under warranty and I was given 1st class service, including a loaner whenever the car needed service. once the warranty expired, it was as if they were another dealership. (Like Jeckell and Hyde) Once during the pandemic, I took my car in for service. Upon its' return, I noticed a wobble in the rearend. They had swapped out my tires with worn tires from another vehicle. Another time I took my vehicle in to have the phone card upgraded from 3G to 4G. Within a few mounths the card began to send false warnings to my phone app. Took car in for service on the board installed by them. Three weeks later I finally got my vehicle back (no loaner by the way) Instead of repairing the issue, they seem to have simply taken it offline from my phone app (Scheduled start nolonger works). And it appears that My battery was swapped out. I had to replace it one month after getting my car back. In a nutshell. Avoid this place. The next time I decide to spend 30k, I'll be sure not to spend it there. read more

A follow up - on the same day I posted this review, I got a phone call, voicemail and text message from Rebecca that she would prefer me to see another advisor next time and she doesn't care about my google review. Taking a star off from my original 3 star rating for this behavior. I rate 3 star and they all go to 5 star technicians, shuttle service and my previous advisors. But this time unfortunately it was a very tough experience with Rebecca. Started the day I dropped my vehicle off, Rebecca was no where to be found to check me in, I waited a long time there and another advisor Ian jumped in to help me check in. I didn't hear from Rebecca at all for the first day. I called next day and she surprised me with a week and half needed to fix two issues (other advisors told me the jobs take about couple of days) then she said will call me back around 3 pm that day for update, no call till it was almost 5 pm. I called back and she said they can only fix a recall but won't have time for another issue with my car for another week. So I asked to work on the recall first and I need my car back, by the time she said she already took the other job off the list. On the day I went to pick up my car, my understanding is only the recall was worked on, then Rebecca sent me a bill to pay which is obviously absurd for a recall, again without any communication. I called again as I was very confused, went into voicemail right away. Then she texted me back stating seems the technicians have addressed my other issue (kudos to technicians). Above all mentioned, worst experience with advisor at the dealership, making me think twice before I purchase a vehicle here which I was looking in their online inventory and considering. read more

When I took my car in, the car person did not know how to start the car, it is a manual transmission, he had unlatched the hood and was going to drive away until I stopped him after I told him how to start the car. My 2017 MKC blew a transmission a month ago and I had it towed to Hines Park Lincoln, where I bought it, for the warranty repair. Well, they've had it for a month now and we still have no estimated repair date. I haven't even heard from them for the past couple of weeks. First they told me they didn't have the parts. A couple of days later they called and said they received the parts. When I called 5 days later they told me they were waiting on parts. I advised them that that had just called me to tell me the parts had arrived. Then the story changed to they were short staffed. A week later, they claimed to be waiting on parts again. The story on the delay has bounced back and forth between staffing and parts shortages with no end in sight. Sorry now that I bought my car here. If I had know I couldn't get service I would have purchased elsewhere, and will in the future. read more

We reserved our vehicle a 2018 Navigator Black label for its annual service on March 14, 2022. We requested that is was to be scheduled for valet pick-up on Monday May 16, 2022. The items to be serviced are as follows: Synthetic Oil Change, Air Filters - Engine & Cabin, Wiper blade on the right side needs readjustment to park correctly, Wiper Blades - Both Fronts - Rear and Vehicle Detailing. Mr Rick Thompson contacted us on Wednesday May 18th with the following message: "I wanted to touch base on your 2018 Navigator. Currently the vehicle is still with the dispatcher. As soon as your vehicle comes up next in line we will get it with a technician for your different concerns. I will update you once it is pulled into the shop. Please continue to use the loaner until we have you all set." Mr. Thompson further replied: "I apologize for the delay. The appointment is scheduled based on our current workload and loaner vehicle availability. Once the vehicle arrives we dispatch the vehicle to the technician based on the order the vehicles arrive. It is our goal to move all the vehicles through the process as quickly as we can. You are very important to us. I will keep you posted as I have new information." What! I wonder if Mr. Thompson made a reservation for more than a week prior at a exclusive restaurant for 6PM and was told that by the maître d' that the table was taken by someone who arrived earlier and would have to wait until 9PM to be serviced? What would his reaction be? Our vehicle finally was in their shop on Thursday May 19 for the requested items to be serviced and returned to us on May 20. Brought my 2021Nautilus in as one of the tires of losing pressure. First after giving them the hard copy of my tire insurance, they cannot find the contract in the system. I should have left then. Robert was very professional yet in hindsight he was lying through his teeth. Not even ten mins later they miraculously find my tire insurance in their system and agree to replace my tire. After waiting three hours, I'm told my car is complete with a new tire and all other tires are good to go. Not even a few hrs later, I get a low tire pressure alert and same tire that was supposedly replaced is low. It takes a certain type of low down dirty individual and dealership to send someone on their way after never making any of the repairs. I will NEVER frequent this dealership again in any capacity. I dropped off a perfectly performing 2014 Ford Escape to Hines Lincoln in Plymouth for a scheduled recall of a transmission cable bushing. I received the car back with the engine light on. The car remained at the dealership. I was called the next morning very early to tell me the issue had been resolved and the engine light was off. We picked up the car and drove it home. The next day, my wife advised me the engine light came back on and the car was sluggish and making a purring ticking noise as she drove it. I now have to bring it to a Ford Dealership in Ann Arbor as I don't trust the technicians and service reps at Hines. I have wasted 2 days, I have a sluggish running car that hadn't given my any problems the 5 years we had it, the engine light is on and I now have to pay for a repair and diagnosis. Just bought a Ford Edge off their lot. The car was decently priced and they advertise "no haggle" car sales. Well I tried they wouldn't budge on anything. The car was decently priced, their trade offer was decent though I could have probably gotten more elsewhere but this model was going for a few thousand more at other lots. The sales guy was decent enough, as another pointed out they offered the free car wash but nothing else. My car wasn't full either but the sales guy made it right. I have never bought a used car that didn't have a full tank. I mean it's what 20 or 30 for that...smh. When it came to the financing they did find a better rate than the 2.39% I had with a credit union. Also, they tried to upsell the extended warranty. I refused. After speaking to a friend who advised that I could get an Authentic Ford ESP via Zeigle Auto Group who is a MI based but multistate car dealership, I could get the ESP for less (and it was less by 40%) I called their finance guy Tim back and asked if he could compete or come close... I left a message and haven't heard back. It's been a week. Really poor customer service. I'm taking their plate holder off. No free advertising from this lady. I guess customer service is out the door anymore. I definitely won't be in a hurry to refer people. read more

So, here I am thinking about a new car and I roll into Hines Park with my Pristine-kept Lincoln Navigator and ask the "sales guy" what its worth, after ten minutes and a quick flip through his "low-ball customer book" he tells me $16,000. After I get up off the unvacuumed floor........I say... $16,000 with eyes wide open and a what the hell look on my face. The "sales guy" says " all I can give you is what we can get for it at "auction" (I'll get to that later), we'll just send it to the auction if you trade it in. I negotiate a 3-year lease on a 2021 Lincoln Aviator for a whopping $891/month and proceed to do the transaction. Now after 5 days of having the Aviator I call the "sales guy" and tell him its to small for me (I'm 6'4" tall and 260#'s) and tell him I want to bring the car back and get something bigger, either used suburban, yukon or __________FROM THEM. He says "let me see what we can do". After bugging him for 3 straight days, on the 5th day he finally tells me I can bring the Aviator back but bring a check for $11,773 with me for the difference between the purchase price and the now value of an 8 day old car, 3 days was his delay in getting me a #. I said to the 'sales guy" that car depreciated $11,777 in a week ? Yes Mike that's the difference between the trade-in value (that THEY determine) and what you owe, no dip sherlock, I know how its calculated but the point: THEY LOW BALLED ME on a return that had 800 miles on it ( I took possession of it with 334 miles on it from the Mgr. driving it before sale) and was a week old, ~25% depreciation in a week ? LOL Additionally, the Navigator that they said they were "taking to the auction", is now out front of the dealership for sale for $22,400, remember they gave me $16,000 for the Navigator because that's all they can get at the "auction". total JOKE, mis-conceivers and typical "used car salesman tactics", no haggle pricing and a $6400 profit after they low-balled me, yes, a 40% mark-up. The Navigator was in pristine condition or they wouldn't' put it out front as a marquis vehicle and tarnish their luxury brand they spent years developing and 1 day ruining in my mind. total rip -off, total joke, I will never do business there again. read more

(7/29/2019) I called in advance to verify the appointment. Took our MKX in at 8:30 AM I asked how long it would take for the repair and was told it would take all day. (By the way this is NOT an all day job) I received a call at 4:00 PM from a very rude service rep (Joe) who told me the car was just now getting into the shop and would not be ready today. Poor service is one thing, but rudeness on top of poor service is totally unacceptable. After leasing or purchasing 14 Lincolns or Ford vehicles over the past 35 years, I will be switching to GM when this lease expires. Since leasing the latest Hines Park Ford in August 2018 (Explorer Platinum), I have had several issues not only with the vehicle, but also very poor customer service when issues arise. Just this morning, after driving to the customer service location for Hines Park Lincoln to have a tire checked, I had a customer service representative say "I make car payments too". That was after I stood waiting to speak with a manager for over ten minutes while he was on the phone and he never looked up acknowledged me to even say "i"ll be right with you". If I hadn't asked for the tire to be checked on several maintenance appointments, this morning would not have been so frustrating. But for the past four days, I had to have my neighbor fill my tires before going to work. Yesterday, I went on both websites (Hines Park Lincoln and Hines Park Ford) to schedule a service call, but there were no appointments available until next week. On my way home from work last night, I stopped at a tire store but they could not help me without me leaving my car for a day. I would not think if I pay for tire protection, I would have a easier time to fix it. Nor should I have to rent a car or lose work due to a tire! Terrible service! Stay away! I have been a loyal customer for over a decade. Their service department "was"stellar! Until..... My MKC with 3063 miles broke in a parking lot. The free pick up and delivery that is part of their purchase package was not offered. I had to beg for a loaner, scramble for rides. The serviceman told me I had to stay with my broken car for 5 hours as their tow company will not pick up unattended vehicles. Stay away! This dealership doesn't honor their written or verbal words. We locked eyes with 2 different reps/sales people at this dealer, but they both turned away and went about their business. We stood in their lobby for 10 minutes without a single person greeting us. So when I first came to Hines park Lincoln, they offered me the best customer service possible. They answered my phone calls right away, was there to answer any questions I had as far as the car buy process goes. Every department I was transferred to helped me out and answered right away. My salesman there "Mike Blackmer" helped me out thoroughly with buying my ford focus. Upon signing my paperwork there, mike then told me there is a one year bumper to bumper warranty for the focus. Bring it in anytime and we'll fix it. Well my check engine light came on about 8 months later so I called up service and after multiple voicemails being left, I finally got an appointment to get service done. After that I was told I needed to talk to a different department about a loaner. I left countless voicemails to whoever the loaner guy is there with no call back. I found out later on that they don't have any loaners available. Now I'm finally in contact with them again(just one week before my warranty expires). And they tell me "well your ford focus went over the mileage in your warranty". Mileage was never even mentioned when the warranty was brought up to me. I never even asked about the warranty, he told he he's giving me a year bumper to bumper warranty. Now they are saying they can't do anything with the warranty because I'm over miles. Hines park Lincoln is the biggest joke of a dealership that I've been to. They will help you out so much getting you into a car but as soon as you buy it you are completely dead to them.
