Spicy Miso Ramen

Second time coming here and the broth still champs as one of the best. The beef rice bowl was also delicious. Service was excellent and was seated right on entry. Great inside atmosphere and is very clean. The restroom was also spotless.

I visited this ramen spot for a weekend lunch and my experience here was pretty good! There was a graduation special going on for May 2026 which includes 2 ramen bowls, 3 appetizers, and 2 drinks for $60 which my friend and I split. Going down the list of food I hate here: - Spicy Miso Ramen: Big and filling. I liked how meaty the chashu pieces were. Pretty flavorful and with a good amount of heat. The noodle texture was solid, but could've been better. - Takoyaki: Crispy and tasty, but barely any octopus pieces inside. - Gyozya: Solid and I enjoyed the thin wrapping. - Karaage: Crispy and meaty and I liked dipping them in the mayo sauce. They did get hard as they got cooler though. The interior was nice and the service was great too. Parking is just street or garage parking I believe. Overall, this was a good and solid ramen spot, but I've had better elsewhere.

First time at Hinodeya Ramen Bar on a weekday. The restaurant is clean and the staff is nice. I ordered the special scallop ramen and it did not disappoint with its umami punch. The broth was rich and hearty. Ramen noodles were thick and chewy. The green onions and shallots also enhanced flavors. It was a great meal overall. I was happy with the $25 price tag. Only complaint is that 1 of the 5 scallops tasted a bit sour... others were fine though.

Sophisticated and ramen elegantly well done! I came in here seeing that the place already looked like an artisanal ramen joint. And boy was I ever so right! I love scallops so I tried their seasonal Hokkaido Scallop Ramen and wow the soup was so flavorful with umami flavors and they topped it with fresh sashimi scallops! Def a seafood lovers adult style ramen! I hope this won't just be a seasonal dish it's amazing. You can tell the quality of this joint just by looking at its condiments. The spicy powder is finely ground and actually spicy and numbing so tread with caution. The garlic looked like walnuts which was a nice touch (: Ambience is giving modern zen. Super cute and modern with friendly and sweet staff. Def will be back, haven't been this excited about ramen in such a long time!

o2.o1.2o26 We went on a Sunday close to 1pm. There wasn't any wait but we waited a bit for them to put the tables together. I told the staff that we'll wait outside then. But they didn't come get us when the table was ready... I ordered the clam ramen bc they went out of the scallop one. The ramen is very different from the other places I had. It very bouncy and I like it. There were a lot of clams. I don't know what I was expecting but I feel like it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The staffs were also cleaning and taking empty plates away while we were eating. They also took dirty napkins away which I said I was still using it. She said she'll get me a new one but never did... It was nice they gave crayons and print out drawings for the kids to play with.

Have a craving for ramen, check out Hinodeya. Specializing in dashi based broth, the traditional umami flavor is delicious. As many other locations, the dining area is small. The waitstaff here is very attentive and reviewing a few items in the menu. One of my favorite orders are the spring rolls, chicken umami ramen, medium spice and a sapporo. The shishito peppers, Hinodeya house ramen and sake is also pretty good. There are 2 parking garages nearby and make sure you hit the drum on your way out, it's tradition.

The food is really good. The noodles are amazing--the best I've had since I came back from Japan. I got the house ramen, and it literally reminds me of a shop I randomly found in Kyoto at night. That place is a core memory for me. The service is amazing. Everyone was so respectful--it almost made me want to cry because it reminded me of the hospitality in Japan. I literally felt like I was transported there. There's seating for everyone, but the waiting area is really small.

Gyudon and Mini Ramen

TL;DR: An amazing, authentic spot in LA's Little Tokyo that specializes in flavorful dashi-based broths, making it a fantastic option if you avoid pork. The $23 Gyudon and mini spicy miso ramen combo is a massive amount of food, though parking in the shared grocery store lot can be a real headache. This spot was absolutely amazing. When you arrive, it's located in a parking lot shared with a grocery store, which made parking pretty difficult. We got super lucky and snagged a spot right as someone was pulling out, but definitely be prepared for a bit of a battle there. Once you get inside, there's plenty of seating and the whole aesthetic feels extremely authentic. We were actually in the area for a convention, and my friend, who is Muslim, was super excited to try this place since it was nearby and they specialize in dashi-based (fish) broths rather than the typical pork-based broths. I ended up ordering the combo with the Gyudon and the mini spicy miso ramen. The presentation was splendid, and for $23, it was a ton of food. The Gyudon had such a flavorful, savory umami taste, they gave you the perfect amount of rice to go with it, and the jammy yolk from the soft-boiled egg was so good. The ramen was also very rich, and the noodles had a really nice firmness to them. My only minor complaints are that I wish the mini ramen automatically came with an egg, but I just ordered an extra one on the side for an additional cost to fix that and that there wasn't much of a spiciness to it. I'm so glad my friend found this place. The food is great, the broth options are awesome for different dietary restrictions, and I definitely need to come back next time I'm in LA!

Ordered take out for lunch and went with their spicy miso ramen. First off I was really impressed with the presentation for take out. The containers they used separated the ingredients in a way that ensured the bowl to be fresh and not in the least bit soggy. The noodles had a great bite to them and the broth was phenomenal; rich in umami and just enough spice to still be able to taste the other components. The chashu pork was delicious and there was a good amount of it. The bowl also came with soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, green onions and seaweed. An extremely satisfying lunch. I look forward to eating in next time

Came here with a group of friends on a Sunday at 8pm and there was no wait at all. It wasn't too crowded and the workers were very accommodating and quickly gave us waters and took our drink orders. The menu was pretty small and there weren't too many options. Regardless, I got the Sukiyaki Beef and I would rate it a 6/10. It was good, but not the best I've had. The meat was tender and I was intrigued to try their buckwheat noodles which were delicious. I would say though the soup was lacking in flavor and I had asked for mild but it wasn't honestly spicy to me at all. But maybe it could be my fault and that I should have gotten a medium spice. Anyways, the brussel sprouts were my favorite. They were so crispy and tasted almost like you were eating seaweed. I added the crunchy garlic with sesame that was provided at every table on top and it enhanced the whole dish. Overall, this was a great place for some convenient ramen if you are in the area. But I would say it wasn't my favorite place to go, but still somewhere I would stop by if I was in the area.

I believe I've reviewed Hinodeya before, but it deserves another. This place has fantastic ramen, great service, and is absolutely worth trying. They have authentic Ramen with very delicious broth. The dining room is nicely decorated. They have a generous rewards program that will get you a free dessert for signing up if you want to use the points during that visit. This is a must-try Ramen spot!

Parking - I did street parking, there were a few parking structures but they were quite expensive. The service we got was great! There was only like 2 - 3 other parties when we arrived and they were super attentive and nice. I got the chicken gyoza, which was made in house. It was super good! They also have this fried garlic on the table. Which also complimented the gyoza very well. I got the beef don with the mini ramen so I could try both of it. I enjoyed it very much, although there really was nothing special. It kind of tasted like a particular fast food beef plate. Also the spicy ramen that I got was not spicy at all. Overall, It wasn't a meal to remember. I did enjoy the food but the service is definitely what made it for me!!

Hinodeya makes some delicious ramen with deep, balanced broth, well cooked noodles with good chew, and flavorful chashu. I enjoyed the spicy miso (not very spicy but still good). The tempura a bit more forgettable - had more of a beer battered texture than the delicate, lacy, crisp texture I was hoping for. Service is great and neat clean modern ambiance. I ordered their signature Daikoku Ramen which was very flavorful and filling, just wish there had been more meat! My husband got the poke bowl with salmon and tuna which is a great dish for those on the protein grind. The chashu was disappointing: lean and chewy--more like steak found in pho than the tender pork I expected. The wait for a table was long in the hot sun during lunch. And it's still an inconvenient location to get to in terms of parking--little Tokyo is as busy as ever. We had to share a table with some other, really loud patrons. The air conditioning was broken. I got the fried rice, previously one of my favorite side dishes here, but the Yakimeshi rice was too dry and disappointing. I added garlic and soft boiled egg to my ramen. The garlic flakes were too big/strong and overpowered everything. The egg was good. Since the noodles and broth are the most important parts and were both decent, I'd keep this place at around four stars. But there are a lot of other ramen places to try in the area. Original from years ago: Overtook Daikokuya as my favorite ramen place. I love so much about the place except the wait. And the parking, which doesn't validate as long as it used to. But really, the wait is really terrible. I would eat here more often if the wait weren't such an issue.

To wash everything down, I ordered the Mega Sapporo, which arrived perfectly ice-cold and was incredibly refreshing. That said, it might actually be a better value to order the smaller glasses depending on the pricing. Service was probably the weakest part of the experience. Our server rarely checked on us throughout the meal, and I don't recall being asked if we needed anything after our food arrived. On the bright side, empty plates were cleared promptly, which helped keep the table tidy. The ambiance had a relaxed, casual Japanese bar and restaurant vibe.
