Absolutely delicious and beautiful ramen! I had the spicy miso but will be back to try the Japanese curry ASAP!

**FAVORITE RAMEN IN DTLA** I was honestly surprised by how good the ramen is here, especially since it's completely plant-based. It had been a while since I'd had a bowl of ramen that really hit the spot, and this place absolutely delivered. PARKING There's garage parking and street parking nearby, which makes getting here pretty easy for downtown. FOOD No. 3 Garlic Miso Ramen Soboro (vegan meat & tofu), corn, fried onion, fried garlic, arugula, and garlic oil. Contains wheat (ramen noodles, fried onion, fried garlic). Simple but really satisfying. The noodles had the perfect texture for me, and the garlic flavor came through in the best way. The broth had great depth and richness, which made the whole bowl feel comforting and flavorful. RATING: 5/5 OVERALL The restaurant is small but cozy with a moody vibe. There are limited tables, but the service was friendly. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious vegan ramen in DTLA.

We had the signature, truffle salt, and yuzu sesame. The signature was the best, the yuzu sesame was the most distinct from other vegan ramen we've had, and the truffle salt was pretty salty. Even for me, a salt fiend, it was a tad salty. The noodles had the right about of chew to them but the broth was lacking in flavor. For $20, I've had better ramen with more ingredients. The service was friendly and the place cozy. The staff were helpful. Outside the place it reeks of urine. It is what it is, what can you do.

Amazement. I'm vegetarian and a huge ramen lover, so this place had me astonished with how much flavor and creativity was played in their dishes. My bf and I grabbed the miso avocado roll, and the garlic miso ramen. We came late at night after a Laker game and I fell in love with just everything about this place. The lighting and the energy is so calm you want to bring a book. Will forever come here nowThank you guys for being so b*d*ss.

Last Sunday was my first ever visit to RedWhite and it'll most certainly not be my last. I came here around 6PM with my wife and two friends and were lucky enough to show up as another group was leaving. I probably should of said this first, but this is a Vegan ramen spot so a little different than the usual. I ended up ordering the Truffle Salt Ramen, done signature style. What is signature style you ask? I still have no idea, but what I do know is that it was served with a big dome over it that was completely filled with smoke, so when I removed it, it simply looked cool. I have no idea if it did anything extra for flavour, but it certainly added to the aesthetic of the whole thing. The Ramen itself tasted very good, but I definitely regret not getting the spicy version of it. The noodles were good, the broth was good, and everything else was good as well. Overall, RedWhite is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and definitely a place I'll take advantage of in the future. I'm pretty sure 75% of my friends are vegan, so I'll probably be back sooner then later.

Oh my! Don't think twice, get in there and order the ramen. When I say it was one of the best ramen I've ever had, trust me. This spot seriously deserves way more recognition. I'll definitely be coming back again and again. There's paid parking across the street, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was fast, and the food? Absolutely delicious. Ambiance at the time I visited, mainly office employees.

The Japanese Curry Ramen and sushi rolls are delicious. Service was fast and friendly. They have outdoor seating but be aware there are some homeless walking around and outdoors you can smell the urine. Also it's hard to find meter parking and parking near by can cost close to $20.

A blast of flavor, creativity, and aesthetically pleasing dishes. This place was cozy and sheik, and a great place to impress friends, or for a date night. In the middle of downtown, this place is not only delicious, but also happens to be vegan. They have sushi dishes as well and so many different flavor profiles with ramen choices for everyone. Everything we ordered was so good, with decent portions, that some of us took leftovers. Staff were amazing and the atmosphere made you feel like you found a secret spot in the city. Even your non-vegan friends will love it. Parking: street, some free and some metered. Lots also in the area. Pricing: $15-$25 Dietary: vegan with sushi and ramen options Seating: limited in and a couple outside seats. Service: excellent. Friendly and helpful

It's an interesting place with interesting ramen choices. The place is so dark, at one point, you question if they open! They have a few choices of ramen. It's a place for indecisive ones...I guess. We got curry flavor and truffle flavor. I was not impressed with neither of them. The sushi was also weird. The shape of the rice and the texture of the rice were creative but yet unfamiliar. I love the creativity, yet thinks its lacks of tasteful satisfaction.

Spicy Mac & Cheese not good

First off the sushi was terrible, it seemed like sushi someone would make if they had late night munchies at home. My partner did like her yuzu ramen, however I did not like my curry ramen at all. It was too salty and tasted like too many ingredients mashed in a horrible melting pot of ramen. The Mac and cheese was a no for me as well. It tasted bland and I'm not sure what hot Cheetos they smashed on top but it didn't go well together. To top it off the service was underwhelming. From this experience, I will not be coming here again.

Red White Boneless Ramen in DTLA really came through for me again. The sesame ramen is rich, creamy, and packed with layered flavor -- it's definitely the one. I also tried the sweet chili taco roll (crispy and spicy with the perfect bite) and the roasted miso avocado roll, which has this buttery texture and bold miso flavor that stays with you. They've mastered vegan ramen and rolls without compromising texture or taste -- and the downtown location has a chill, minimal vibe that makes the whole experience better. Super clean, fast service, and open late. Always a win. Definitely one of my top spots in LA.

Cool little ramen place on west 6th street. We parked in the parking structure around back. $12 evening rate which is decent for normal parking rates. There's some street parking around but Friday night was busy. Seating available indoors but don't bring a large party as the venue is small. Good for small groups or couples. The food was a bit of a wait because there weren't many folks working but it tasted amazing! Def recommend trying this place.

Redwhite is such a gem! I love the number 8 ramen in the signature! I only wish they had more drink options especially being a vegan place. Coconut water or natural juices would be a great addition.

Overall the ramen isn't bad, chashu is nice and fatty and tender. Ramen is rich and filling. It's nice that it already comes with an egg too and you don't have to add another one. Lots of other side dishes and combos too if someone in your party doesn't want ramen. However, with the increases in prices, the fact that there's many other options in LT, and the fact that there are other Daikokuya locations, it's an alright LT option.

I was craving ramen and ordered the Ruby, with a miso-based broth. The description says, "Chicken chashu and perfectly seared shrimp create the perfect pairing, while bamboo shoots, green onion, and a seasoned egg add layers of texture and taste." The broth was indeed very good, and almost hot. Everything *in* it was not very warm: I think they left it to the broth to heat up the chicken, the egg, the noodles, and even cook the shrimp. The broth couldn't do all that. 10 minutes in, the egg halves and the chicken were still very cool inside, and the shrimp were still translucent. As you can see in the picture, they were not seared at all on arrival as per the menu. I told the waitress they weren't cooked; she said they were, but I took her up on her offer to have them "toasted." They came back w sear marks on top and still translucent underneath. The chicken is very tender, but it wasn't "chashu" as the descriptions says, either: just plain white poached chicken with no particular flavor. With this I got a melon float. It was delicious, but no spoon for the ice cream, so I used my ramen spoon. And I got the bill while I was involved with this process -- there was nobody else in the restaurant at this point, so there was no reason to hurry. Even though the waitress said "take your time"... it's hard not to feel rushed when they push the bill on you while you're still eating. Altogether not a nice experience. Next time I'll go back to Hachioji, Mr Ramen, or Shin-Sen-Gumi, which have been consistently great.

That's the mood that pulled me into Maruya in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. I ordered the chashu tonkotsu, the classic go-to when you want to judge a ramen shop by its bones. And the verdict? It was... fine. Not bad, not memorable -- just okay. The kind of bowl that doesn't offend you but doesn't linger in your memory either. No standout richness in the broth, no chashu slice that made me pause mid-bite. Just noodles, doing their job. This is actually the second ramen spot I've tried in Little Tokyo, and I'll admit -- I'm starting to feel a little underwhelmed by the neighborhood's ramen scene so far. For a pocket of the city with so much culinary history packed into a few blocks, I expected to be a bit more wowed by now. Two tries in, and I'm still searching for that bowl that stops me in my tracks. What did stand out, though, was the service. The staff at Maruya were genuinely warm and helpful -- attentive without hovering, quick to check in, the kind of hospitality that makes you want to root for the place even when the food doesn't quite deliver. It's the kind of detail that softens an otherwise middling meal. So, Little Tokyo ramen crawl: two down, verdict still out. The people have been great. The noodles? I'm still waiting to be impressed. On to the next bowl.

Don't bother getting anything else except the chashu tsukemen for food. It's THAT good!!! Also if you want to treat yourself- get the $6 apple juice that's won several awards. Lowkey expensive but you get why when you taste it. Best apple juice I've ever had- and I grew up in the northeast.

I ordered the spicy tonkotsu and loved the flavor, especially the chashu. I'm usually a pork belly person, but the chashu was so flavorful that I genuinely think I'll start choosing it instead from now on. Everything came out piping hot, which normally sounds like a compliment, but it was almost too hot to comfortably eat. Weirdly, we actually enjoyed the leftovers even more reheated at home. I do wish I'd tried the thicker noodles, but paying an extra $3 just to switch noodle styles felt a little ridiculous. We also tried the gyoza, which were good, but I wish they had come with a more traditional soy-based dipping sauce instead of already being dressed in chili oil. I'd definitely come back, especially to try the dipping ramen. I'd never had tsukemen before, and it sounded so good that I was already regretting not ordering it by the end of the meal.
