I hadn't used Cannabis since I was in high school, waaay back in the 1970's. Never liked it, and especially hate a head high. In recent years, my chronic pain has gotten the best of me. Especially the headaches. Facet joint headaches, 100 times worse than any migraine, lasting for 12 to 18 hours. My daughter, who was 18 at the time, ran and grabbed a joint, during one of those bad headaches, begging me to smoke some, assuring me it would quell the nausea, ease the pain and relax me so I could get some flipping rest. At that point I was willing to try anything. WOW! She is a cannabis scholar, that one and the following day, explained the science behind today's cannabis. (in my day, we had rag weed, Maui Wowie, and Thai Stick. Purchased by the joint or baggie, by "fingers". From my very first call, the staff has understood my concerns, and always have recommended a low THC, high CBD, Indica, that does the job I need it to, without giving me a paranoia inducing head high. They have my record and previous purchases on file, and just like a medical office should, refers to my records. The delivery service is fabulous! The drivers are all so nice, and professional. They call if they run into traffic, or have a piggyback stop on the way. (BTW, it's okay to TIP your driver! Because CA law says no to allowing dispenseries to accept ATM/Credit cards, we can't tip like other gig employees. (I'm a Dasher and appreciate my tips, thank you very much!) Remember, these folks are driving all over the county, putting mileage on their vehicles and using fuel. A cold drink during the hot summer months has never been declined either. We need our drivers, and they need customers, so let's be good to each other. My other lecture is, I am 60 years old, this October. I get carded purchasing a six pack for my boyfriend or a pack of cigarettes for myself. Being asked for a valid CA ID is THE LAW people! Hip Joynt isn't just trying to push our buttons here. They are a valid business, with damn good service, and would probably prefer to keep their license and business in good standing. We are a blue state and as such we voted to legalize cannabis. Smartest thing we ever did, IMHO. But there are still legalities, so instead of giving a bad yelp review for a business that actually follows the law, complain to your representatives. Push for fine tuning of the laws on the books. Thirdly....if you think you've received counterfeit money from ANY business or employee/representative of said business....call the police!! Better yet, call the FBI! What the heck do you think they're there for? Lastly....never thought I'd like edibles, but I absolutely LOVE Sky Candies! They're a bit strong, so I break them in half. Then increase 1/4 at a time if I need better results. I've never gotten a head high from them, though I've definitely gotten high. The most mellow, relaxing, tension relief....and great sleep aid. Thrilled they are now being sold 5 per package, rather than 3. But bummed as hell they're out of stock. I can't find them anywhere else read more

Great place to get your meds! They don't have any walk-in shops so this is a delivery based dispensary. Just visit their website, pick your products, verify your paperwork, and *boom* meds to your door within an hour! Be sure to have cash on hand, the State still doesn't allow them to accept credit cards. Their website is nice -- great pictures and helpful reviews on several of the products. The site can be slow sometimes (and it's a total mess on mobile) so be sure to call and verify that they received your order. The employees are always super helpful and knowledgeable, plus the delivery people are very nice and discreet. Their flower inventory changes frequently so be sure to sample all they have to offer. Loving this delivery service, saves me a two hour roundtrip from the shops I would go to. Yes they have a limited selection but they have several Indicas (my preference) and what they do have ranges from pretty solid to fan-effing-tastic. Looking at you "berry white, purple killer, and train wreck vape. I like how they create some of their strains in house like the two cannibus flower strains mentioned above which are some of the best IMHO. Everyone is nice, helpful, fast, and patient.
