    Inside Hip Pocket Deli

We discovered this sandwich shop on yelp after visiting the National Naval Aviation Museum. What a find!! The chicken caprese pita was amazing! The perfectly seasoned chicken balanced well with the balsamic vinegar. The tomatoes and mozzarella were fresh and tasty. We also had a Philly cheesesteak sub. The meat, grilled onions and gooey melted cheese made for a delicious sandwich. My BIL had a Cuban sub and said it was the best he ever had! The French fries were great! The seasoning on them was so good that no dipping sauces were needed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are about 12 booths inside with 3 or so picnic tables outside. It's a no frills place and is now our #1 sandwich shop in Pensacola.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good even with the steady flow of people coming in. When we saw the mail carrier stop for lunch we knew we were on to something. Lol

    Chicken gyro with fries

The best gyros around! It's only open for lunch and is a little tricky to park at (behind the building), but it's a well-kept secret. You seat yourselves inside or out. Their gyros are unique because they use chunks of lamb or chicken vs the typical thin strips which seem to be much more tasty. Their fries are also unique with their seasoning and their portions are massive. It's a go-to when you have a big appetite. The service is good, not as fast as chick fil a, but still fast food. They also offer military discount.

My in laws swear by this place and have been coming here since before there was a brick and mortar. I was in town and looking for a place to eat lunch so I thought I would give it a try. At first it looks like there is no place to park, but there is a large parking area in the back and they have a back door so you don't have to walk all the way around. I walked in around 12:30p and there were 10-15 people either sitting at tables or waiting for togo orders, but I was able to walk right up to the counter and place my order...A gyro, fries and a drink. I found a table and waited about 7 minutes for my name to be called... I started to get up and she saw me so she just brought it to my table which I thought was really sweet. You better be hungry when you go here because the portions are HUGE! I was hungry, but couldn't finish, it was so delicious though...

This place reminds me so much of a place back near my hometown called Rossi Deli in Poughkeepsie, NY. Check it out on here! I've heard good things about this spot so I decided to see for myself. I recently had a Muffuletta sandwich while in New Orleans that I enjoyed and wanted to try it again. I have no idea while I ordered the full instead of the half, the shear size is what reminded me of my hometown Deli. I like sandwiches that look intimidating. So the half of sandwich I ate was very delicious. I think this place has a lot of potential and I'm looking forward to trying another sandwich from the menu. Highly recommended!

First thing to note here is the service. Very friendly people running this place and that alone makes it easy to return to. Food is great! First time I went I ordered the sandwich special pictured below. Roast beef, horseradish, tomato's, and Tzatziki on on a roll. I liked it, but the roll wasn't anything to rave about and threw off the sandwich a bit. The next few times I came here I ordered the island gyro. Delicious, massive portions, that fill you up for a great price. Food was delivered quickly, but be warned the lunch hour seems to be busy. Would highly recommend you check it out.

The food is great here. The prices have gone up, but hasn't everyone. The menus on yelp and site should be updated.

It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger. It ain't just a burger it's a roadside sermon in a bag, preached by a man who knows his beef and your funny bone. Amen.

The place is a meat lover's daydream--goat, Wagyu beef, turkey, and more cuts of steak and chicken than you can shake a cast-iron skillet at. And the best part? Prices that don't make you wince on the way to the register. We sampled our way through like it was our civic duty, and every bite backed up the hype. The Italian cotechino sausage ended up pulling double duty--first in a pot of collard greens that could make a preacher shout, and then in a potato hash that was nothing short of sinful. The olives? Lord have mercy. Worth the stop all by themselves. Now let's talk atmosphere. This place looks like a gas station that found religion and got saved by a butcher block--and I mean that as the highest compliment. It's got character, grit, and just enough charm to make you want to hang around longer than you planned. Do yourself a favor: don't just think about going--go. Make the trip, take the detour, tell whoever's with you they'll thank you later. And for the love of all things good and right, get the tuna dip. I don't know what they're putting in it, but it ought to be studied by scientists
