The best meal I personally experienced in Pensacola Beach. This little gem was located just outside of our hotel and we were very appreciative of their food. I learned quickly that the area is NOT vegetarian friendly and this place was one of the few exceptons. The staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and they always got food out in a timely manner. We ended up visiting the food truck 2-3 times during our trip because we trusted the quality of what was being served. The one thing I can say that I was disappointed with was their sauces. A bit ironic, as it's in the name but they were extremely underwhelming. We ended up using sauces we had saved from other spots. I still highly recommend trying them as their food was very good! read more

I placed a pickup order about 30 minutes before closing and arrived around 15 minutes before they closed. When I got there I had to knock on the window to get someone's attention because they were already cleaning up. Once they came over, I told them I had a pickup order and they just handed me the bag without saying anything, which felt like I was an inconvenience to them (even though we tipped on the order too beforehand) The food itself was mostly good. The portions were solid and we really liked the Brussels sprouts, those were definitely the highlight. But the veggie burger was honestly really disappointing. It had almost no flavor and was so bland we couldn't even tell what it was made of. We also had the chicken tenders and sweet potato fries which I would recommend and kept me full. Also, no napkins were included, which would have been helpful considering everything was pretty saucy. After a long day of traveling, I was craving a solid burger and decided to try this spot based on the great reviews. It was the evening time and it's a food truck, but I felt safe because there was curbside parking right in front, and a well-lit outdoor seating area. The customer service was great, and even though there was a short wait, it was worth it. I don't mind waiting for quality food. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly hot, crispy, and a nice change from the usual. There's a nice variety of burgers. There's something for those who are more adventurous, and options for people who like a more of a classic burger. I also loved the variety of house-made sauces. I only tried one (I forgot the name of it), but it really set the food off. The portions are generous. I couldn't even finish my food. Just make sure you get plenty of napkins. Great burger, when you're on vacation and need to find a place you do a search and all our burger searches led to Sauce Boss. This food truck knows burgers, and it was nice that it was in a place with seating Ann coverage from the sun. We all ordered, some burgers and also a few chickens too and everything was very tasty, the fries too. I ordered the boss and it was a riff on an in and out burger. It was amazing! The sauce was fantastic and it was a smash burger like you would want it. The battered fires were amazing and were especially tasty dipped in their homemade bbq sauce. The chicken strips were huge and crispy, and almost too much to eat do my daughter to finish. It did take a bit to our food to come out, but I'm sure it was because it was all made to order. Although we were the only ones there at the time. It was a bit pricey too, but the food was very good. I just love when a place that your unfamiliar with, especially when your out of town, turns out to be better than expected. read more

One, I get being a Sunday, but, I've gave this place more than a handful of times a try and every time allow the service to not speak for its food. Still in the Pensacola area for price , a Culver's burger is the best for value. But this time, for the service horrible , this place has so many awards but when you taste the other places in Pensacola you start to understand, don't get me wrong the place has the typical origin story of Covid and love for cooking and I get that and at one time was the hot new place. But....... Service was so rude I almost wanted to ask the hipster dude with his pony tail and vintage shirt if he was ok and need a hug for working a Sunday. Watched him cook without love or care but anger. Lucky all their pre paid sauces was still fresh. My husband and I came and both got a burger, tots and a drink. Our total was $50!?!? Don't get me wrong the food was pretty good but no where near $25 a plate for a burger food truck. All the classic ingredients. I will say the patty was smaller than the buns which isn't bad however, I know some people prefer otherwise so I just wanted to share. That didn't take away from the flavor though and was also gone pretty quickly. 7/10. 3. Sauces: we tried the 196 sauce 10/10 & the curry ketchup 8/10. 4. Sides: beer-battered fries 8/10 and sweet potato fries (10/10). For reference, the size in the pictures are large. Our overall experience would be a 10/10. Very welcoming and helpful with the selection. They have outside seating available which would be perfect in the evening or for those that don't mind the Florida heat. I came due to the social media hype. I had to know what it was all about. LET ME TELL YOU!!!.. they did NOT disappoint. Let's start with the burgers. I got the Western and my husband got Ginger add bacon. The Spicy ginger was better IMO but both were great. Bread soft and moist. Burger was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly! Oh the sauce!! That's a FO So you right on. Sauces are amazing. Cons? I would add a little more salt to the fries. Other than that they are some of the best Fries you'll have out of a restaurant, food truck or not. 9.5/10. This place is great. This was our Second Yelp Event here at the HandelBar. I really enjoy hanging out here with my husband the atmosphere is chill and relaxing and I love eating from The Sauce Boss Food Truck. I had the Double Downtown and it was delicious. I ate every bite of my burger which I never do. The burger was juicy and savory and made your taste buds dance. Absolutely killed it Sauce Boss. I added the Sassy sauce to my burger which only added to the tastebud party . I asked for the 196 Sauce for my Tots and speaking of tots, I can't believe how delicious theirs are! Super crispy with the perfect saltiness. Man oh man you guys! Can't wait to come back to The Handlebar & to eat more from this fantastic food truck. Found this place after finding the place we wanted to go was closed for Labor Day. Didn't realize this was a food truck. Ordered two Ginger burgers. Good but very messy. My husband ruined his shirt with grease and burger juice all down the front. To be fair, we were eating in the car and not at the picnic tables they provided. The fries were really good, just needed a bit more salt in my opinion but that's an easy fix on my part. read more

Great food. Personal recommendation is The Handlebar, named after the bar they're set up right behind. Can't say for ambiance because it's a food truck but it's worth the money. Don't do it all the time though, it can get old kinda fast. But they also got this loaded fries special, pretty much the best description is "chopped cheese fries"; burger meat, nacho cheese, house sauce, and fries, perfecto. read more

Best burger in Pensacola!! It was my first time trying this spot after hearing about how delicious everything was from my sister and it did not disappoint. I got the Spicy Ginger burger, fries, and a sauce flight. The burger had amazing flavor and the pickled jalapeños on it made it. My husband got the Handlebar burger and loved it! I also tried it and can attest that it was incredible! I loved that they offer a sauce flight so you are able to try all of the sauces, which were delish. Overall everything was 10/10. Sauce Boss (@The Handlebar ) is just a block down the street from my office and I have been dragging my feet on going. I missed the Elite trial awhile back and today one of the other injectors here said she was thinking about going. It sounded like a great time to give it a go. Today I decided on a Boss Burger, some tots and 4 of their sauces to try. We ordered about 12:15 for a 1pm pick up. We walked down to their truck at about 1:05pm and walked back to the office. You may already be guessing that the timing might be important here. We got back to the office less than 5 minutes later around 1:10pm. My tots were stuck together and falling apart. My coworkers fries were a mushy mess too. The tots were so mushy that they would not stay together. I can only assume that they started on our order too soon and the potato sides steamed in the clamshell containers. My burger was not pink in the middle at all either. I would call mine well done. The menu says that they cook all the burgers to medium. I was expecting mine to be at temperature. It just wasn't. I also like cheese on my burger and that was not an option here. You can't even ask for it through their online ordering system. Even Blue Dot allows you to have cheese now I heard. No cheese was not a deal breaker so I pressed on. The sauce was good, real good. I am a mustard and mayo guy. So the sauce did not fill my burger needs. The four sauces, The Boss Sauce, 196 Sauce, Sassy Sauce and Barbie Sauce were delicious and I would love to try them on a sandwich. They were great on the tots I could pick up. I am going to take the tots home and bake them in the convection oven and see if they crisp up and are more edible. Look, Sauce Boss was good. The meal that I got was not great. I am going to give them another try. Maybe at a time when the temperature is less than 1 million degrees outside and I will sit and wait for my food to be cooked to ensure that my food is the freshest it can be. A patty melt with two smash burger patties, Parmesan, Monterrey Jack cheese skirt, pickles between Craft bakery sourdough bread. It was a 10/10, the bread was perfectly crispy and the burger patties were thin but juicy and loaded with flavor. You can't miss out on the Sauce Flight featuring six of their housemate sauces. Tonight we tried The Sauce Boss food truck, and let me tell you... we loved it! I had the Downtown Double and the Beer-battered fries w/Sassy Sauce. The fries were so crispy and yummy... and the sauce was awesome! The burger was juicy, seasoned perfectly, and just plain fabulous! My husband had The Handlebar with Tots and Barbie Sauce (sadly, not pictured). The tots were so crunchy and went perfectly with the with the rich saucy juiciness of The Handlebar Burger (patty melt)! The staff was friendly and welcoming... and we even got to meet the owners, Eli & Tori, who take such pride in all they do! Do yourself a favor and try this great local spot!
