While checking out,…read moreI was on a phone call and told the person I was on the phone with to "hold on while I check out" I was advised "I would be helped when I finished my call" to which I responded "can you not check folks out while they're on the phone?" Genuinely asking as I've never encountered this. The female manager working looks at me and in a snarky, condescending tone responds, "no it's rude". I have no issues abiding by rules, but, you're a manager and in customer service not to mention you're taking MY MONEY - I expect a professional response not an attitude. My advice is they should worry less about people being on the phone while checking out and focus on hiring better "management" plus the gross dust and disgusting mold in beer coolers. I will never step foot in this "establishment" again and will be spreading the word how terrible the customer service is.

Thanks to that concrete median on Austell Rd - it can be a little tricky turning into their parking lot (usually involves a U turn when I'm coming from my house). The prices are pretty comparable to places in the immediate radius - so this is the spot I usually hit up if I need 1 or 2 bottles of adult beverages LAST MINUTE - otherwise - I will always make the drive to Big A's Bottle Shop on S Marietta Parkway. They are also open a little later than some of the other liquor / package stores - usually by about 30 minutes.

This shop is very convenient for me. It is near my house, in a shopping center that is easy to get in to and out of. Plenty of parking. There are a few good restaurants next door and a nice Publix grocery store. The staff is always cheerful and friendly. They are knowledgeable about liquor and share tips and recommendations.

There is Right Stuff Food Store and gas station next door. If you go south across the railroad tracks there is a Citgo with Thai Taste (Thai and sushi restaurant) Next door is The Patty Wagon (hamburger) and a few doors down Cremefina Ice Cream Parlour. I was told by an elderly friend that years ago Cherokee county was a dry county so if you wanted to buy beer you had to drive out to Cobb County so that is why Charlie's is located right on the border of Cherokee county. (I was told that Cobb County for years only had beer and wine. If you wanted liquor then you had to go on down to Fulton County. Apparently there are also liquor stores located in Fulton County that are stone throw away from Cobb County for that reason.... This store had some of the nicest and fun staff. I enjoy coming here and I definitely get a kick out of the drive thru window.
