What awesome staff!!! I was unsure what to try and the guy behind the counter was fabulous. I am not a beer connoisseur-just know what I like when I like it. He suggested a flight, asked a few questions, made great suggestions and it was spot on!! We ate at this great place that connects to the brewery SCG chicken and seafood and it was great as well. They allow you to buy from either place and eat on either side. Gotta give this place a try. Wonderful find in downtown powder springs! read more

This place is everything you want your local brewery to be! It's VERY dog friendly inside and out. Great vibes and ambiance. Fire pit will be going in cool weather with seating all around. The transition from bar to deck is via 2 garage doors which makes for a very open space to enjoy both areas. As an added bonus, you can hang out on the deck and still see and be part of the sports on their multiple tvs! Oh and their home made brews are exquisite! Good variety of beer, we were the only ones there over lunch so got to talk to the brewers a bit. The beers themselves were good but nothing outstanding, but it sounded like they were working on some interesting ideas for the future. They don't have food and for lunch a lot of places aren't open, so plan accordingly if you're there over a meal. The space itself would be great for an event or party, especially once the development behind them is complete. read more

Of my multiple visits here, I have yet to experience a BAD beer as all their styles are perfectly brewed and dispensed to the customer your branded iconic glassware. The ambiance of the operation is top notch, and the owners Doug and Mark are on point to tend to the customers' needs by taking the time to explain the wide variety of styles they continue to offer, and you can see the passion in the Skint Chestnut brand they have created. In my opinion, Skint Chestnut Brewing Company has become a "true gem" to the growing Powder Springs community and as a CHATT TECH current student/intern brewer that is continuing to learn the industry they have become an inspiration to the values, skills, and customer service ideology I want to continue to embody in my future brewing career. I was so excited when they opened, I finally got the hubs to stop by for lunch. I really should have done my research...soon as I walked on I was informed that they have no food! I mean zero, zilch, nada! They advised that I try the food truck across the street. In all fairness this is a BREWERY and I realized that, however. I have had the best food ever at breweries like the Rock Bottom Brewery. I'm giving it 3 Stars because It's a great looking place, but my advice would be to at least add a few appetizers I'm sure it would expand your clientele, unless your satisfied with just the beer drinkers, if so.... read more

The beers we tried were all very tasty, the conversation with the co-owner informative and fun. Definitely ask where the name came from because we had no clue going in. Now that we know it's a great and perfect name. Hopefully downtown Powder Springs will continue to grow and make this the start of a great revitalization. So far so good!!! read more
