Clearly, I have issues. To deal with this I decided to login to the Life with Cancer website. It was a resource that was given to me when I was first diagnosed but I was too cool to ever think that I would ever need any help (I was twenty for goodness sake!). They offer classes and support groups for cancer patients, cancer survivors, family members and friends. It's a comprehensive list that includes everything from drumming circles, yoga, reiki, knitting, crocheting, makeup, relaxation, cognitive techniques and more all for the cost of free. I know I sound crazy but I was desperate to clear my throat chakra since they had such an intense amount of radiation on it. The interwebs said reiki would help but I was apprehensive of the whole process in general and especially paying for it out of pocket. Life with Cancer came to the rescue since it is medically proven that reiki can somehow really help cancer patients so I decided why not, let's book a session. I did so easily on the website and also easily canceled and rescheduled until my heart felt like I was ready for it. Turns out I had nothing to be scared of. The center is clean and light filled and the people are friendly. Reiki was held in a large classroom type area and they had individual beds set for everyone. I was assigned to my practitioner and away she went. For the most part I felt a sense of warmth over my body as well as general relaxation so that was cool. I'm not sure if it worked or not but it definitely helped quell my post cancer anxiety which was amazing. I have not gone back but now that I'm ten years in remission I realize that cancer is something that is going to haunt me for the rest of my life. I am glad there are resources like this that can help me throughout all of my life stages. Thanks to all those who donate and volunteer with Life with Cancer, you guys are amazing!

Maureen, who has never met me and has never talked to me, blames me for everything. What an unprofessional thing to do. She should be fired. I do not recommend counseling @ life with cancer. I contacted Life with cancer about this incident and they are not interested in doing anything about it.

They have three bag sizes to choose from and you can fill the bag with goodies! There are a few items that are not including for the grab bag pricing and are marked for separate pricing but they are very reasonable. I was able to get a nice assortment of beads and gems for jewelry making. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well. I would recommend checking this place out!

Instead of throwing away your craft supplies you don't need anymore, folks donate them here. This way supplies can be reused instead of tossed out. This is a great resource for teachers and crafters. They have 3 sized bags, that you pick from and you put the items in your bag and that's the price you pay. I did the smallest size which was $9, I purchased several sticker pages, scrapbook papers, and crayons.

According to Exterminator professionals the Director of Programs Megan Goffney ignores their pest control needs knowing rat holes complaints were made by local SGI members. The grievances made to the CEO J. Meyer but he doesn't seem to care that the staff keep their shelter like a living ghetto. The poor conditions of infestation within the walls & floors were so disgusting in June they kick women out for complaining to the owners. If their rat issues continue to persist or they refuse to get their standards up to County Code they risk the action of NBC4 media investigations if they don't clean up the trash outside the grounds & get their buildings in compliance they'll probably be condemned. They use Federal Grant money like faucet water to pay their wages & salaries instead of keeping the living environments of their buildings under code. They put the health of their residents at risk to diseases just for the sake of having a job.

I became interested in their mission which was to provide safe housing and life skills to homeless families due to domestic violence situations and soon started volunteering every Monday afternoon in their children and teen's room while their mothers attended professional development sessions. I am not going to lie -- it was tough work! I was a 24 year old girl working with a wide range of children ages 2 - 16 with all different personalities and needs all by myself. I would spend my afternoons cuddling children, attempting to play football, teaching the Soulja Boy, and picking up blocks. But after coming in week after week, I found my groove and found myself falling in love with these children and their families. I actually tasted my first bite of daal here and it is now the first dish I order whenever I go to an Indian or Pakistani restaurant because one of the mothers at the shelter used to cook me an extra plate whenever I was there. I unfortunately had to leave the program because of time constraints but I am writing this review in hopes that someone who is looking to give a little piece of their heart finds this place. I genuinely trust the staff at this facility to give quality care for my son because they've never shown me any reason to believe otherwise. Full time daycare is going to be expensive regardless but this daycare also has some of the most reasonable fees I've seen in the area. What's most important to me is that my child is safe and happy, and I am assured of that through the kindercare app every day after dropping my son off. Love this place, love the teachers, love the activities. I would absolutely recommend the Leesburg Kindercare to friends and family.

A favorite musician and band of mine was visiting, so we were ecstatic for the evening! The venue holds about 150-200 seats, and concerts do get sold out; they do offer a waitlist. And, like one of the attendee stated, 'there is no bad seat in the house' - it is small enough where there's no obstructed view! The sound system was great! The staff are all volunteers, and they are pretty friendly and helpful! If you got the munchies, there's a kitchen onsite that sells hot dogs, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, homemade treats (such as brownies, pies, and cakes), packaged candies/chocolates, and canned soda and bottled water. We tried their all-beef hot dog and a honey bun cake, and both just hit the spot and were super tasty! Prices are extremely reasonable! They also have licensed preschool classes, afterschool care, childcare, and pavilion rentals available. There is an adjacent parking lot, but the entrance is off the main road, so you just have to walk around. Sterling Fire Department just drove 2 fire trucks through my condo community at Potomac green…read moreashburn tonight about 7:00pm, all decorated with Christmas lights and a megaphone calling out to people to say hi to Santa. I stood on my balcony and waved to a live Santa sitting on a large chair on top of second fire truck. I love that they did this. Very touching and uplifting. I'm making my first donation to them tomorrow in person. Thank you sterling for doing that.
