Customer service is great, vehicle service not so much, traded in my truck about a month ago, the floodlights up top on the vehicle I was trading for don't turn on, bad wiring, they told me they would take care of it for free, which is great. Appointment had to be scheduled 1 month out, I dropped it off at 9:00am, 6 hours later I go to check in on it and planned on just waiting until it's finished. They didn't even start on it, turns out it's gonna be an 2 day kind of thing, now I have to wait another month to bring it back in, 2 months total to fix a wiring issue, hopefully it can get done next time. read more

Recently purchased a newer GMC Denali at this dealership, was told at the sale that the windshield would be replaced as part of the deal. was told the salesman would take care of all the details, so 2 weeks later still no call text etc. I finally went in to see what the deal was and the salesman acted like I'm the dick for asking what the deal was. said I needed to go to the repair place and set it up, when it was told to me at the signing this salesman would call and get it set up. so needless to say I was pretty pissed and went to the repair shop myself. during my commute the salesman miraculously got off his lazy ass and called the shop how convenient when it could of been handled when i purchased the truck.. house of good service ??? definitely won't buy another one here.... read more

We made an appointment for our pickup for 8:00 am, thinking that it would be done by noon. Keep in mind the appointment was made a month in advance. Also, we had asked for a loaner car so I wouldn't be stuck at the dealership all morning. I show up and the guy that was helping me acted pissed off that he actually had to help me and informed me he knew nothing about loaner cars. Then told me they didn't have any loaner cars. The other lady told him to call someone that worked there that had a loaner. Again acted pissed that he had to call her, so the lady did call her. She told me it would be 30 minutes before she would be there, which wasn't a big deal. At noon my husband called to see if the pickup was done, they hadn't been able to get it in yet. We waited, waited and waited at 4:30 my husband called again still hadn't been able to get it in. They wanted to keep until Monday that was not am option. Purchased a ¾ ton pick up sight unseen from out of town through Jason. Hirning had the exact vehicle we needed. It was a little nerve wracking but Jason and Hirning did NOT disappoint. The vehicle was ready when promised, they did their best to make the paperwork go quickly and we were out the door. We had an issue with an add on accessory and Hirning stood behind it and made it right. Even though this dealership is some distance away, we will definitely purchase our next GMC here. Their parts dept. is phenomenal. I went in there trying to find a specific bolt for the cross member on my truck armed with only a picture of the crossmember and a description of which one it is on the truck. They were able to pin point the bolt with ease and get it for me. read more

Had a recall on my GM vehicle. Took into this shop and they did not have the part. Had to come back and commute back to Pocatello. Took advantage of a sixteen year old girl. I only needed a recall fix, but ended up spending over 100$, (a whole paycheck of mine) Please go somewhere else and invest wisely in a worthy company! read more

So I've been dealing with Hirning GMC since 2016 I've purchased five vehicles of my own, my parents have purchased vehicles and do so every few years, and I've also sold vehicles or help sell for other people in my family a total of nine cars from August 2016 to August 2018. I don't think there's ever been another dealership in my vocabulary other than Hirning GMC. So today I went back in there and was going to purchase a truck that's been on their lot for 70 days. Kelly Hirning the owner was in his office I went to speak with him knowing that he knew my family. As I entered the door he said I don't retail our vehicles go talk to our sales manager, by the way the sales manager is awesome as are everyone of their sales consultants. take your business somewhere else, these guys are dishonest. I had a lease that I decided to keep/purchase I went to them for help on what to do next since the lease was up and I wanted to keep my vehicle. I just wanted to continue and purchase it, they talked me out of using my own bank to pay and continue the rest of the loan for the remainder of the loan. They said they could just do it there and it would be much easier since they already had my information I could just use their bank/auto loan. so instead of helping me get a new loan, they went behind my back and "purchased" my car not paid the loan but purchased it themself, then turned around and resold it back to me. so instead of me just paying for the remainder of my vehicle (loan) I'm stuck with taxes 2-3k from purchasing it again, hidden fees, warranty etc and the old loan company kept sending me letters that the vehicle didn't get paid in full and that I still owed a payment, even though I was already making payments to hiring and the bank they made me go through Westmark (sucks its terrible). I contacted the old loan company that originally gave me the first loan that I tried to purchase my car from, they told me that the way Hirning went about purchasing then reselling it, instead of just letting me buy it/pay if off, was wrong that's not how it was supposed to have been done, which I didn't know how it was supposed to work, that's why I went to them for help big mistake. my old loan company that the loan belong to tried contacting Hirning but for some reason now no one is available. So because of these random fee/payment that nobody could explain what they were and dealing back and forth for months about a year now with my old loan company, I ended up in collections even though nobody could explain what I was being charged for, they told me to wait until they contacted Hirning but it went months so now im fighting a dispute with the collection companies, I ended up just paying for it because I was so sick of going back and forth but im still having to deal with getting the whole thing removed from my credit. to be continued... if anyone can help me with this or has any insight I would appreciated it. *Update* I was just called by Hirning about my review. They said they didn't agree with my review and stated "There's nothing you can do about a ten year old car". I told him it had electrical issues the night I brought it home. They once again mentioned the warranty I had purchased. No apologies. Just blaming an old car. I bought this car Dec 2016. And I am now writing this review because I'm looking to buy a new vehicle. I am relying a lot on the reviews on other dealerships to pick the right dealership. So I thought I would give a review to help others with dealerships I've used. We feel like we were sold a lemon. The night we took it home it started having electrical issues. The DVD players eventually stopped working. The stow in the back seat kept going in when my kids were in the back seat while driving. Then the sun roof started leaking. There became a huge leak in the radiator hose. The driver door buttons for windows and locking doors stopped working. The heater on the drivers side stopped working. And it has been making the most ridiculous noise in the engine. When we discussed this with Hirning and we told them that we think they sold us a lemon. They said let's wait and see if the warranty pays for it. They were unable to do any of the electrical work because they didn't have the right equipment. And they didn't see anything wrong with the stow in the back. They kept stating our kids were probably hitting the button. They first told us they could diagnosis the electrical. They just needed to contact the warranty company and get back to us. A couple days after we took it in the second time they called and said there was nothing they could do and it needed to be taken to a Chrysler dealership.As far as the stowing while driving problem. Another dealership fixed that and it wasn't my kids pushing a button they couldn't reach in the first place. read more

I went in today to look for a used gm SUV. I saw a used escalade parked over by the fence that looked like it was just traded in. I went in and asked a salesman about it and was told I know the one. He pulled it up on his computer and quoted me 5500. I test drove it, they appraised my trade in and we made a deal. As we were waiting for the finance person I was told there was a problem, the mileage wasn't the same. The salesman then told me it was the wrong vehicle, they had another out back that we had been negotiating on. I could buy that one for what I was quoted (I had not even seen it) or, the one I drove was 9600!! I spoke to the owner and the only thing he said to me was I'm not selling that one for that price and he left. I never asked for that price on the one I drove, but I was never offered a discount to make up for it, no negotiation, just pay it or don't. I was vert polite and explained that I was upset because it seemed like a classic bait and switch. I would have been willing to negotiate on the one I drove, but instead I was told that's the price. I told them no, we were done then. The salesman pointed at my keys on his desk, said there's your keys and walked away. Terrible service, no sorry, here's what we can do, just buy it or don't.
