The Outpost is a little store but they don't carry much except some drinks and you can rent some sleeping bags. It leaves the impression that so much more could be sold/rented there! I needed a 50 to 30 amp adapter for my power cord and the camp host (space #10) had an extra one to lend me. Sweeeet. Great couple. If i would suggest MWR improvements, i would say......fix the ice machine! Fix the coke machine! Add some items to rent/sell in the outpost (like firewood). No propane right now, don't know why. Boat wash needs a better hose. Still, we love the place.

This is a great course in Daphne that runs along D'Olive creek. A former Par 3 golf course, the…read morefirst 9 holes were developed and opened within the last couple of years. The course is open, but it has some elevation and makes use of a few copses of trees to good effect in order to create a quick yet interesting course. Typically I would simply play the 9 holes twice to get in a full 18 holes, but the past few months the town has been quickly developing a swath of land across the street from the front 9 and the back 9 is almost ready to go. Tee pads are in (except for a little confusion on the direction of the pad on 14) and 7 of 9 holes have baskets up and are ready for play. The front 9 has only a single par 4 (hole 7), but the back 9 has 3 par 4s (holes 11, 13, 15). There are signs up showing the lie of the hole and distance on the front 9 and I expect the back 9 will get signs eventually too. There is a paved walking/jogging path that runs completely around the front 9 and runs out along the right side of the course on the back 9. In addition there is a pavillion with a picnic table and areas designated to be 'recreation areas' that have yet to be developed. The grass is often mowed and the course well maintained. The ground can be kinda spongy and sandy in places, and watching where you step around some of the holes should keep you from stepping in an ant mound. All in all, it's my favorite course in the Mobile area and keeps me driving across the causeway nearly every other weekend.

The park offers numerous recreational activities, such as disc golf, playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking trails. It encompasses the Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile Botanical Gardens, and Playhouse in the Park. In addition, the park features tennis courts (the Mobile Tennis Center), and athletic fields for baseball and softball. Langan Park is also a popular spot for outdoor concerts and family outings. Many of the trees are labeled by genus and species. Plus, there is a large body of water that harbors the natural habitat for many birds, insects and other aquatic life. The 2.5 mile diameter sidewalk in the park is perfect for walking or running; though, It is not good for rollerskating in-line skating or skateboarding. Mostly because the mandatory crevices in the sidewalk are too wide (in some places) for the small wheels to navigate them safely. Seemingly, The maintenance crew does not keep the sidewalk very clear from debris. This could seriously injure a skateboarder or roller skater. It (a nasty fall from debris on the sidewalk) has happened to me twice already in the last six months. Minus 1 star for maintenance. Otherwise I completely enjoy walking in the park

This park has a lot. Always clean, litter free, pet friendly, great for kids, families, couples, etc. Tons of wildlife: ducks, geese, fish, turtles, rabbits, squirrels, an occasional alligator sighting in the lake areas (warm weather usually). Every time I come here, I always find something cool or new that keeps me coming back. Safe, there is a police station and military reserve located in the park near the museum. Directly across Ziegler Blvd from Mobile Japanese Gardens.

This is a great public space with the amenities fitting of its name. If you have littles, then just…read moreknow it is an outstanding, safe play area that fosters inclusion and welcomes all. There are walking trails that go through the woods, an off-leash dog area, and multiple mixed-use sportsball/athletic fields. On hot days, the splash pad area is the place to be, making for a safe space for kids and families to cool off and enjoy the sun. The frisbee disc golf course is one of the real hooks to the park, nicely laid out and maintained, and providing differing levels of challenge. Public restrooms are all around, the playground and splash pad area have soft landing spots, and it is generally well lit and safe all through the park. There are even several canopy areas with tables, allowing for picnics or other gathering use and mostly just to get out of the Alabama sun. Get out and enjoy the greenspace, Mobile, it's a beautiful place.

Park is open from dawn to dusk like all other parks in Mobile. The playground is the best of all the parks in my opinion. It is fairly busy, but not so much that would make you visit elsewhere.

They have bands on the beach near the dock in the summer months which is lively. There are a ton of old growth trees which are beautiful. There are steps throughout but it's very manageable. Lots of parking. I do wish they had more intentional landscaping. Pensacola selectively landscapes its parks it seems and I wish this one got more of an overhaul. It's quite large and expansive and with some additional thoughtfulness and planting it could be a very special urban park.
