They offer a variety of different pottery pieces for you to choose from. You pick your peace, each labeled with their price, and grab your own paint colors. You can take as much time as you'd like to paint your piece and once you're complete you check out at the register. They'll reach out in about a week or so to let you know when your piece is fired so you can pick it up. There were plates, piggy banks, bowls, figurines, coasters, anything you can think of! I chose a mug and it was about $25, but I did choose a rather large mug. Great place for a solo afternoon, event with the kids, or hanging out with some friends.

The classes are really small so you do get a great experience and learn how to do it well. You create the plate and paint it in the same night, so when you pick it up, it's all ready to go in about two weeks. It's so fun to try out a pottery wheel, and they help out to ensure everyone can do it! They also offer premade pottery pieces where you can paint yourself and fire for you. I was a little bit confused on what to do so I'll help y'all out: 1) Select the piece you want to paint from the wall. You bring your piece to the counter and pay for the price of this piece (usually found at the bottom) AND an extra $7 on top for the paint. Don't worry, during COVID you're allowed to come back and finish painting at another time without paying an additional fee again. 2) Go to the paint section and write down the paints color you want to use on the sheet of paper. The shown paint is half 1 layer and the other half 3 layers. You can sit down at any table you want and they'll bring the paint to you. (You can always ask for more paint afterwards). 3) When you're finished, give your piece to one of the workers. They'll fire it up for you and be ready in a week or so.

The books are sorted into dozens of nooks and crannies that are clearly labeled by genre. Even though the piles of books can seem intimidating at first, it's actually very easy to find what you're looking for and simultaneously stumble upon something new and unexpected. I love that there are comfortable reading chairs hidden among the shelves, making this a very welcoming place to stay awhile. Their sign advertises that they buy, sell, and trade books, which I have missed doing since the old Half Price Books left our area a few years ago. Upon walking in my grandmother and I were greeted by the mother of the book store owner. I hate that I did not get her name but she was so sweet and so was her granddaughter who was there working with her today. I got three books and two stickers to add to my junk journal which I am so excited about. The prices here are reasonably priced and I love supporting small businesses let alone Women and Black Owned business. The set up meets coffee shop/ library and it's beyond cute a lot of photo opp opportunities. There is also a kids section if you have a little one ! My fav section of the bookstore was the reading room LED sign with the yellow chair that I was told is called "The Queens Chair". I cannot wait to start my new reads and visit the bookstore again!
