Got here 6min before closing just to get some MANG TOMAS for some lechon that a friend of mine gave and they the cashiers wouldn't let me in. Security guard inside gave me a "sorry can't let you in" look and had even asked if I may be allowed to just buy ONE thing Yes I'm upset cuz I chose to come here vs. 99ranch in Rancho Lastly AMBIANCE hmmmm my feelings of hostility I'm sure is mutual Above 1star goes out to the security guard who tried his best to get me in-despite it all very grateful Maybe my last time here BYE BYE FOREVER HOA BINH SEE YOU NEVER

Nem Chua. $7.50 per package as of 10/28/2024.

5 stars for having fresh Nem Chua! The cashiers were very friendly too. This is an old and outdated market but they have all the Asian goodies.

Purchased cherries and watermelon on Sunday . Monday we cut open the watermelon it was soft and bubble inside , the cherries were mold we threw both in the trash . So annoyed ... Debating if I should call the manager of the store to get a refund ( but I threw away both receipts and the fruits ) I doubt they will take my word for it ? Oh well! Next time I just won't buy any thing from them again .

This place is my go to place for all Vietnamese and Thai/Lao ingredients. They have a large selection of Thai & Lao curry paste & curry powder that I can't seem to find in most other Asian markets. They also have a variety of fresh herbs which are a must for most traditional Asian dishes. I also get my banana blossoms, green papayas and green mangos here. They also have free fish frying service and a decent selection of seafood. Unfortunately on weekends the lines can get quite long for the seafood department. Another downside to coming here is that this place is not the most clean place to shop at and you'll know by the strong smell as soon as you step inside the store. The store front can use a major over haul as well. The plaza itself is pretty old and run down.

Got my tamarind paste to cook viet sour soup.

I've grown to like this supermarket this year. This place has the ambiance of chợ in Vietnam. I pay 2-3 visits a week since we live pretty close by. My usual buys are fried tilapia fish, we buy it to eat with fresh herbs and rolls with paper rice sheets. I also likes the fact that they do sell baby back ribs in smaller portions for affordable prices. That is good for people who like to buy in small amount fresh for their daily cooks. People who work in the meat and fish section seem to be nice and helpful every time I shop there. I love going there to shop in the morning, the energy is great and really reminds me lots of memories of Vietnam.

The items they sell mostly are pricey. Only few of them reasonable price. I rather go to another Asian market in Orange County.

Ask the Community - Hoa Binh Supermarket

Does this supermarket sell energy drink brand name STING? I'm been looking for this specific brand energy drink and only in SoCal areas have it and none in NorCal.

Unfortunately I don't buy energy drinks and not sure if they handle it

    Do they sell vegan meats?

    Yes it does

Do they sell the White Rabbit candy here?

    Yes

What Asian market is this? Like is it Chinese or Korean or Vietnamese? I've been here a lot but never know what kind of Asian place it was.

It's a little of everything. It must have started as Vietnamese and then branched out. There are lots of Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Thai sauces, dried stuff, noodles, canned stuff, frozen stuff. The variety is amazing. Check it out!

Do they have red envelopes or any other lunar new year items?

They have a section dedicated for Lunar New Year items. Lots of traditional candies, preserves, gift baskets, & red envelopes (could be at the customer service counter).

I've visited other sustainable companies that still use unnecessary packaging and plastic, but not here. The best part? I get to refill the containers instead of throwing them away. How amazing is that? Christy and Catherine are so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable.
