As someone who has owned multiple properties managed by HOA's, I can say this is unequivocally one of the worst management companies I've ever experienced. Living in a community that is equally occupied by homeowners and renters alike; I can confidentially say that there is no one who lives in this community that doesn't appreciate, nor deserve to be here. The color I've seen painted from the management is this; if you don't own your home; your opinion means nothing. Additionally - and unfortunately, I've seen the same undemocratic ideals being pushed upon resident/owners that don't concede to the HOA/Current Board member/Bullies' agenda. As a responsible, successful businessperson who happens to be renting here now due to the unfortunate circumstances of a prior divorce, I've been personally offended, bullied and forced to jump through hoops to maintain a peaceful home for my children and myself to reside in. The residents here have spoken out unequivocally against this management company and the results of the HOA's mismanagement of votes for Elected officials to the board - to which they are now pushing back in a manner which appears to me as suspicious and more invested than a typical Managment firm should care to be. When taking into consideration the unethical situations I've heard of taking place historically; I would never recommend this firm; nor would I advise a friend, colleague or acquaintance to purchase a home here right now. I've had several building issues over the years and HOA Business Solutions (specifically Leah) has always been helpful and responsive to the problems that have come up. She has always answered my questions and kept me informed as much as and as quickly as possible. Even when I was dissatisfied with an answer that was given, she made the effort to explain why and that put me at ease. Horrible company, non responsive and unprofessional. I spoke with Leah over the phone about getting a plumber for the main line in my complex. She was very unprofessional and unhelpful. This company charges over 300 dollars a month for what seems like nothing. My downstairs toilet has overflowed numerous times due to the main line getting clogged. Terrible customer service, highest HOA dues in this community has increased nearly 100% in 2 years, as a sign of poor management; unorganized, as they claim to not receive checks in the mail and then charge late fees. HOA in conspiracy with lawyer steal money if they get an opportunity to do so. Here is my story. I am the owner of the property this HOA manages. My condo not in habitable condition, no hot water, no toilet or bathtub/shower so I had to move out. While I live somewhere and have no permanent place of living they are trying to make money out of my disaster caused by them. In January 5 of this year they caused multiple floods in my condo with much of feces and toilet paper spilling out from my toilet flooding the bathroom and flowing all the way to the bedroom. I contacted them many times, in mid February their insurance adjuster came and gave the estimate with HOA approval to start the job. Three contractors done some work in my condo, I paid one from my own pocket. 3 months later they didn't pay to anyone or me yet. I received the last estimate from my contractor to finish restoration works. Their insurance approved and transferred the estimated money to HOA for them to pay my first three and the last contractor. They got money and decided to hire their own cheaper vendors for the last restoration job who charge 2 times less so they can get the difference and keep it. When I figured that they stopped answering my questions why they won't let my contractor from starting and finishing the job. To achieve their goal they hired lawyer Craig Combs who said if needed we will break your locks. For this purpose we going to hire locksmith to break in and I will be paying for them hiring such a locksmith. He is little aware about the law. It probably worked with some homeowners who know little about the law. Craig would never answer my questions but all he does threatens and says what bad things going to happen to me. He sent irrelevant regulations that are not subject matter of the case. So in such conspiracy HOA supported by lawyer steals money if they get an opportunity out this situations. It is 5 months since all started and still have no permanent place to live in. Waiting when courts open up to file a lawsuit. read more

This company shows very little concern for the properties they manage and only care about increasing dues. We have lived here for 3 years and our dues have DOUBLED. The only amenities we have is one very small pool and a few patches of grass. When they say they are going to make improvements, they use the worst companies that do a mediocre job and I have yet to see any project be fully completed. They are the highest dues in our community and we have the least amount of amenities. If you are looking to find an HOA company to help manage any properties I would NOT use them and go elsewhere. read more

Update...this company disregards Davis Sterling act and does not remain impartial. Dictates policy and recommends their preferred vendors. Interfered in our election process and is personally involved with the board. Owner Heidi and our rep Ti treat the homeowners with so much disrespect it is unreal. terrible management company. if you already own property with an HOA managed by them, i'm sorry. if you are looking into them while looking to buy, stay away. lived in my unit for 3 years (pacific shores in north PB), and they were mostly competent, just small issues with disseminating meeting minutes (really hard to do right?) and in my opinion, mismanagement of member dues. dealt with them for another 2 or 3 years as landlord with tenant, again not terrible, but definitely not going out of their way to help with things. i'll stick to concrete a example here and my reason for the review, in my final dealing with the office, and specifically daniel lee (hopefully not their star employee), i had a situation where my last HOA payment had been processed on August 1st, the fist day that they were no longer my HOA management company as they had dropped my building. Checking with bank, funds are gone. After repeatedly contacting HOA, they return something from their bank stating the payment was NOT processed and returned. Ok fine, I call my bank again to verify that funds were in fact withdrawn and was told yes they are. After then asking daniel lee of HOA Business Solutions politely for someone I could talk to at his bank, because mine is saying the money is gone, he doesn't pass me any information or help, instead: "Well, I'm afraid your bank is wrong as it was never deposited." No one in the office seems to know when it will be fixed, or when any of their coworkers work to assist with the problem. Shocked this company is in business. They know about how a Property should be managed the correct way and really help our HOA Board. If you are looking for the BEST of the BEST then stop here and look no further. Has to be the WORST HOA Management Company in San Diego, if not the entire civilized world !!!!!!! They are working AGAINST the interests of the homeowners. Since taking over management of our condominium complex, they have raised the HOA dues over 40%, yet all the while the complex has slowly spun downhill. The lawns are brown, with bare patches of dirt all over the complex, the lighting was replaced with cheap fixtures that are dim and have made the complex dangerous at night. Trees are half dead, despite paying for a touted "Tree Service" yearly. There is absolutely NO oversight of the subcontractors by HOABS, who never show their faces at the complex. This last winter nearly all the roofs leaked, despite the fact that HOABS claims they pay for twice yearly roof inspections. I encountered recently a lady at a retail store, who, when I gave my address told me: "My husband and I sold our condo at that complex explicitly to get away from 'That B..tch Ti Howe', the owner at HOABS. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY. We are trying to get rid of them..........!! If you have them now, BAIL ! read more
