The venue was great but the beer was not. Alas. I would still hangout with friends for a while but wouldn't suggest it myself.

For one this place is huge so there is just about always room to get in. I love their beer types ( like the pretzel one! ) and they have a wide range of types and strengths. The staff I have had were always friendly and fun to chat with and crank out the tunes on the juke box. I'd suggest walking or a cart to get you here which would be much easier to park. read more

They have food trucks outside for you to choose from. Tonight they had empanadas Columbian style. It was okay. They are made with a corn base & not the flour style. For the beer... Now that is HOB. Great selection, fast service, cold beer and clean lines! It was a nice venue tonight as they had several bands. Always a blast at HOB! The event was on the trail side so it was an open venue. Such an awesome brewery in the downtown Dunedin area. We like to go to the local shops and we stop through here to grab a drink as we walk along the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail. The vibes are always awesome - it's outdoor seating mostly, but they have covered seating and fans so it honestly feels nice and it's a relief from the hot summer days. Sometimes they have live music, which is my favorite. They have a little food truck on site as well. Every time we've been here it's reasonably busy, it seems like people come and go all day, so the foot traffic is solid. And this spot is family friendly - bring the kids and the dogs - and as parents to both children and a fur baby, that's amazing. read more

Totally recommend the bratwurst with sauerkraut cooked perfectly on an excellent bun, sure did impress the best Germans around. I also recommend the cucumber IPA amazingly it really did taste like cucumbers. The band was "Hold a Grunge" definitely impressed. They knew so many different songs from that era and the genre of music that it was amazing how great they sounded.. not to mention that box that the drummer was on. Hold A Grunge is a Pinellas County, FL-based acoustic duo (sometimes trio) that performs 90s grunge and alternative rock covers. Known for a "stripped-down" sound, they cover artists like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains at local breweries, including Outcast Brewing Company and HOB Brewing Company, as well as their local Sponge Brewery. Went on a Saturday around 4pm for context of the atmosphere. I love the outdoor space, it's large and dog friendly. I've been here a few times and there is always something different. Last time they had yoga in the courtyard. However if you're looking for a place that is adults only this is NOT it. There were a TON of kids like under 8 there running around. Great local brewery with a HUGE patio and lots of seating. The bartender was friendly and let us taste samples to ensure we picked a beer we would enjoy. Purchased pretzels from the stand on the property and it was yummy. The mustard and beer cheese sauce were a great addition. I had the Splashin Around IPA and highly recommend. We have stopped in many warm afternoons for a frosty drink or two. Its near the trail and you can park you bike outside at one of the many spots dedicated just for that! Picnic tables, children, and dogs having fun at a LARGE family friendly outdoor space! Would you believe they have another spot just around the corner?! I have to say its my favorite of the 2. More of an old school pub with a long wooden bar, bottles on the wall behind the bartenders, pool tables, and that great feeling you get from an old school bar. Came here today on our pub crawl. The place was busy but had plenty of seating and a good selection of beer. The staff were pleasant and we enjoyed our beer and left. What a fun experience! Like all the other places I've reviewed over the weekend, HOB was a place we enjoyed last time & came back to try again. Today we stopped in twice from the bike path, had a beer on our way out for a ride and one more on the way back. They offer a wide selection of tasty brews and plenty of comfortable outdoor seating in the shade with fans. You can also order pretzels from them and they have a pair of food trucks on site as well. The bartenders are very friendly and upbeat, there isn't a bad thing anyone can say about it. Come check these guys out! read more

We had a good experience at HOB. They were willing to offer samples and we tried a few before we settled on an American Pale Ale. They also had a cucumber beer which we had to try for the novelty of it and it was definitely "cucumbery". They don't really do flights per se but they offer 9 oz pours so you can put a few together and it's not overwhelming as drinking pints can be. The location is right on the trail and Dunedin is an awesome little town with a very cool vibe. The people are pretty chill and it reminds me of a place that is still very small town 70s Americana (in a good way). We sat outside at one of the picnic tables but noticed that they had a bar inside and indoor seating as well. Our service was fantastic, and we ordered from the food truck on site. They were great too. The service was fast, cheerful and on point. The food from the truck was good as well, we had a wrap and truffle fries. But when I asked about one they showed they had the bartender gave me attitude about not having it in the last 2 years. But they don't do flights so I got a couple 9 oz pours and he charged me for a larger one. Based on a 5 rating Chinooks and Ladders - 4. Good TIPA, would like more citrus but still has good flavors. Triumphant Haze - 4. Good DIPA but was hoping for more citrus and a little softer Body Bag - 3.5. Ok IIPA. Just needs more flavor, more citrus please. El Chapo - 3.5. Interesting spicy IPA. Pretty good balance of hops and heat. Cool, good sized brewery. I would maybe go back as they had some ok flavors and potential to make beer with full flavors. read more

Awesome variety of beers at this, as well as the "Downtown" location (literally right across a small access road). This location is right on the pinellas trail, and has indoor seating as well as a huge outdoor area...including a turf area for some outdoor field/drinking games. Their beers are a little on the pricey side, so don't look for special pricing. Bartenders always very helpful and will get you what you want. Live music on the stage outdoors on the weekends (many, not all) as well as Yoga events and many community outreaches. read more

HOB was such a unique stop along our birthday brewery tour in Dunedin. The outdoor seating is limited but the indoor space is one of the larger ones we had seen that day. The bar came equipped with pool tables, bar gamers and arcade style games including basketball hoops and table hockey. Andrew asked for recommendations on their beer selections and the bartender offered a DIPA, which he loved. I'm thankful they had a very large selection of non-alcoholic beverages so we could both enjoy a drink. We will definitely be going here again! This is for the HOB Brewery with the outdoor environment. The place is big and spacious outside - I like all the seating and outdoor space. I like the pavers too - nice touch. Doesn't seem finished. I think there's a green space in progress. Not sure what it will include, but maybe some additional seating and/or lawn games...that would be cool. Aesthetics aside, the beer I had was not good. Glad I got a short pour. I would probably be at 4 stars, at least, if I had something different. What was it? Ummm...peaches in apricots or something? I didn't get any of those flavors. For now, I stand by this until I can try something else... Maybe soon! read more

We find ourselves visiting HOB pretty much every visit to Dunedin. When the weather is nice, it is such a great place to sit (covered) and still feel outdoors and enjoy the day and scenery. The location right on the Pinellas Trail adds to the easy access and additional people watching! HOB has an impressive number of taps with different beers so while you may not know what you'll enjoy before you get there, you know you'll have plenty of choices - both their own brews and a few offerings from others. The counter service is easy to navigate and they're friendly and efficient keeping the line moving. We appreciate how they willingly pour samples as you debate some of the more unique offerings. I love this brewery. We ride our bicycles to Dunedin often. This brewery is my favorite of the many breweries in Dunedin. Their beer selection is awesome. They have a beer for everyone and normally have one type of cider as well. I especially like their cucumber IPA. The outdoor patio is very comfy and the location is directly off the Pinellas trail. There is a pizza food truck called Corvo Bianco that is the parking lot and they serve fantastic wood fired pizza. read more
