My group ended up coming in here late as alot of other local places were closing up for the night. Its pretty spacious inside with kinda a college table high table design. There are a couple of dart board just inside the front entrance but one is right smack dab against the wall which makes for interesting play! There's also a bunch of other board and floor games along the wall for use. The beers were pretty good and i love there is typically different varieties between the bars. Soggy Bottom has always been one of my go to spots in downtown Dunedin. The barstaff is the friendliest of any brewery in Dunedin and there are multiple options for games inside as well as seating back out front and out back. The taplist is always quite extensive and the best beer on tap (in my opinion) is the double IPA 'Goon.' read more

Funny name, seriously owned by a chick! Ben thinks I just like certain breweries because they are owned by women, which isn't 100% true because if they didn't have good product, it really wouldn't matter who owns it. They have a pretty large selection of beer here, between what Soggy Bottom actually brews themselves and then guest taps. Of course, when at a brewery, we go for their beer and not guest taps. We have always had a great experience here with the beertenders as they are fun and playful, joking around with us. We have had different beertenders and they have all been like that, which is great! I was determined to visit every brewery located in Dunedin on the last trip we made to the area from South Florida. Soggy Bottom was the last one where I had stopped yet. Being the farthest from the center of Dunedin, we planned to stop here before starting to make our way back east. The brewery offers some nice beers in a clubhouse-like atmosphere. Located on Main Street before leaving Dunedin's downtown area altogether, Soggy Bottom has a unique vibe about them to discern themselves from other neighborhood breweries like Caledonia, Cunee, Dunedin, Woodwright, and 7venth Sun. The brewery ambiance is very down-to-earth; come as you are, and enjoy some good beers. Despite spending a weekend imbibing multiple beers from multiple breweries, Soggy Bottom offered a very chill respite on this particular Sunday morning, where I enjoyed a very lovely Back Alley Joe Coffee Stout. The beer itself was tasty and satisfying following a little brunch, with a nice balance of barley and malt notes, with the coffee. We didn't have any problems parking as there was a spot in the lot in front of the location. There are also spots on the street. The stop was an enjoyable one, where I tasted some brews from an unvisited brewery, which I will return to try more. read more

I thought Soggy Bottom Brewing was new because I haven't been yet but it's been around for 3 years now! Somehow this one flew under my radar and I missed it! Its hard to keep up with all the new breweries opening in Dunedin! Dunedin is the Brewery mecca of Tampa Bay, with 8 breweries all within stumbling distance from another: Caledonia, Woodright, Cueni, HOB, Dunedin Brewery, Dunedin House of Beer, 7venth Sun, and Soggy Bottom Brewing. Soggy Bottom Brewing serves 11 beers on draft made by the brewery, 8 brews from local breweries, and 4 types of wine. I got a flight of brews which included the Peach Fuzz IPA 7%, Pumpkin Slaughter Ale 5.5%, Victory Golden Monkey Tripel Ale at a whopping 9.5%, HOB Mango Hefe 5.5%. I also tried the blood orange sweet tart sour and raspberry Berlin sour. My favorite was the Peach Fuzz followed by the Victory Golden Monkey. The blood orange is the most popular with the ladies. Soggy Bottom Brewing has a pool table, large patio, good music playing, checkers, darts, Pinball, tvs with the game on, and lots of board games to keep you entertained. We were in town for a week and visited Soggy Bottom Brewery because we wanted to see the improv show (so fun!). We arrived early because we were unsure about tickets. The two bartenders were welcoming and so incredibly nice explaining everything. We had the blueberry ale and a lager. Beers were excellent! And when you're in Dunedin, you try a lot of beer! We also shared a pizza which came highly recommended by some darts players at the brewery and they were right. Pizza was good! We wound up hanging out there for over two hours including the improv show. The whole night was great. The overall vibe is warm and friendly. Five stars! read more

Great location right by downtown Dunedin. One of the 7 breweries that Dunedin has to offer, this one is located next to the serendipity Cafe. They have done a great job decorating this place. Nice long bar throughout the brewery, tables throughout the space. The beer is excellent as well. They have about 16 to 20 of their own beers on tap and several guest taps. They offer flights, I highly recommend the coconut porter and the ipa. Great place to go with a group or just to hang out at the bar. They do have a couple tvs to watch sporting events. There is usually always one owner there at any time serving up the beer, so knowledgeable. This is one of the breweries on the gulp coast book where you can get a stamp and the only Dunedin brewery that is part of the pub pass where you buy the beer passport and you get a stamp for a free beer up to $5. read more

Great place to watch the game on the big screen. My husband loves the beer and I love the wine on tap!!! The cucumber lemon seltzer is AMAZING and light, not too sweet!! This is a no frills brew pub but I like it. We were out with my husband's coworkers for dinner next door and came here after to have a beer and hang out. They have several selections on tap, I tried one that was a pineapple variety. It was delicious! I even got my husband, a dedicated Bud Light drinker, to try one of their lighter beers. I liked that one of the bartenders was sporting a kilt, he wore it well. There is a dart board and pool table for entertainment as well as a seating area away from the bar. We were excited for seven suns because of the sours they advertised but were really disappointed by the lack of as well as the lame bartenders demeanor. So we decided to try out soggy bottom... what a difference! They welcomed our Yorkie and lab, they had three amazing sours (strawberry was a fav), touch tunes, darts and best of all was the people. We were in the neighborhood and wanted to stop for a beer. Not really familiar with the many breweries, we picked this one because of the funny name. It's quite a spacious taproom, with a very long counter, where the bar stools has license plates as backs. They do have quite a long list of their own brews with some guest taps, and happily let us try some before ordering, which is quite nice, as all of us are from out of town and have never tried their stuff before, not to mention some who are rather clueless about the different beer styles. I got a flight, which included the Toasted Coconut Porter, which is supposedly their most well known beer. I am used to Funky Buddha's very bold flavors, so to me it feels a bit too thin and subtle. Last week, the newest brewery to open its doors was Caledonia. This week, it is Soggy Bottom. Well, not really. These guys have been around since 2013, actually, but they didn't have a public space that served beers. Chances are, if you ever had suds at Dunedin HOB, then you've had Soggy Bottom's beer before. That's right, they used to brew their "HOB" offerings. We stopped in the other day to check out the place, and found it to be pretty standard in terms of breweries. Nothing really stood out as being unique. All of the worlds new hipster brew spots are sort of fitting into a common mold where everything is concrete and industrial. So visually, the views were similar to others, minus the keg bar stools. As for the beers, we had the flight and avoided the guest taps, which is the right thing to do. Of the 4 beers, I liked the toasted coconut stout best. The flavor just really popped off, and could have only been better if it were out of a nitro tap. Absolutely brilliant flavor! The pale ale was on the opposite end of the spectrum and can only be described as consumable. I like the location and the brews are solid, so I think SBB has a long a prosperous future ahead of them. read more

A hidden gem! Soggy Bottom blends old school bar with new age brewery, and does it exceptionally well. Small, quaint and perfectly appointed to give an iconic, old style bar feel while enjoying amazing service and deep flavored microbrew. The bartender, Lance, was knowledgeable, engaged and an all around great guy! Although Soggy Bottom was out of inventory on a couple of IPA's, the tapped IPA was 100% solid! It was a shame to miss out on the others, but there is no doubt, they would have been just as amazing! Florida is not an IPA drinkers gold mine, but Soggy Bottom knows how to brew solid, hop forward, well balanced IPA! Highly recommended!!! read more

Came here on a whim on a chill Tuesday night. All the beer was awesome including a great black IPA which no one does anymore. Service was awesome and the place was spacious. After reading a few reviews I decided to check it out and I'm glad I did. The bar is a fun and friendly environment, with a few pool tables, dartboards, and a jukebox. They serve beer and wine only, And they brew many unique beers. I was eager to sample the coconut, unfortunately, they were out; I understand it's quite popular. Most impressive was the service. Well I cannot remember her name, as I'm writing this post a week or so after my visit, the bartender was fantastic and took time to share some insights about some of their beers and make recommendations. I did order some food from the small café next-door and when it was delivered she Even immediately came over with napkins and water to make sure it was well cared for with my food. The café next-door, by the way, is also a nice find especially if you have a gluten-free diet.
