The poor folks at Hobby Lobby up the street were probably thinking "What are we, chopped liver??" When it did finally open it became apparent why everyone was so eager to shop here. This big, bright new store has everything arts and crafts related that you could want and then some. I won't pretend that I'm creative enough to know what to do with most of the stuff but it's nice to know that it's available should I suddenly feel inspired to take on some kind of craft project. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like self checkouts - as long as they work of course (I'm looking at you Kroger!) And they have plenty here, making it faster and easier to get out the door and get started on your latest venture. If that's not your thing though, I believe there's still at least one human operated register available at all times. Michaels also has a reward program that is worth signing up for if you do a lot of crafting. Even if you don't, it still doesn't hurt to accrue some points that may lead to a discount one day.

The previous store felt way too big and overwhelming. This new store was well lit anond very organized. The store is very inviting and cozy, and the layout makes it easy to find whatever what you are looking for. The employees were friendly and informative, and you can tell that they are proud of this new store. The employee who helped me check out, even took the time to explain their free rewards program, and her help was much appreciated. The new location also has much easier parking, with plenty of spaces just outside their front door. Whether you're looking for a good book, the perfect gift, or in my case, a new puzzle, the new Barnes & Noble will make your shopping experience a very pleasant one.

I told her this was the first chance we had to get in and she proceed to lecture me about how they were there til 6 everyday. After my lecture I handed them $40 and they didn't have any change. She actually asked me to wait while she ran to the shop next door to beg for change. REALLY!?!? I will never step in their business again and wouldn't recommend them for anything. I am extremely frustrated with my recent purchase from Hobby Lobby. I ordered two identical portraits, which I was excited to display in my home, but my experience has been nothing short of a headache. After spending over $200 on frames, come to find out that the hooks on the back of each portrait were uneven and at different heights. It's absolutely unacceptable for a store that prides itself on quality to deliver such a rushed product. I expected better attention to detail for the price I paid. Now I have to deal with the hassle of trying to fix this issue myself, which is incredibly disappointing. I had high hopes for my shopping experience, but Hobby Lobby has truly let me down. I will think twice before making another purchase in the future. read more

I love shopping at Hobby Lobby for personal items, school items and items for my businesses. However, until the lawsuit against denying their female employees access to certain forms of birth control is dropped, I will no longer be shopping there. As one business owner to another, your personal and/or religious views have no place in the work environment. As one business owner to another, it is not any of my or your business what type of, if any, birth control our employees use. Until your stance on this issue changes, I will not be patronizing Hobby Lobby. read more

Terrible experience. If staff are stocking shelves and you need to see something they won't move out of your way and act like you aren't there. Don't ask them any questions, they aren't friendly and resent having to be helpful. The worse customer service ever and this is not a one-time experience of this type of treatment in this store. This store needs some major customer service overhaul. read more

Fifteen minutes before their closing, although I had not received a call, I stopped by to pick up the order. They provided a complimentary hook to hang the frame. On a Friday, I dropped the frame for the stand attachment. I was given an estimation of ten days, including a week to order the stand. The following week on a Saturday, I decided to check if the stand had been received and find when the frame would be ready for pickup. I was pleasantly surprised the frame was ready for pickup as the job was done several days earlier. Although happy with their service, their communication could definitely be improved.

I can possibly take a stab that this is the outlet as this was an outlet store at one point. Well both times I've gotten wallets that retail $49 before tax for $17 and some change after tax. I've only been to the southlake one a couple times and it was years ago ... and I never bought anything over at that location as it was always full price or there wasn't any obvious posted deals as it was at this location. When I was here most of the styles were 50% off and the store as a whole was running the 50% off with 30% off. There are a few styles that have signs that discounts don't apply but a good 90% of the store allows it. So possibly the newer styles are what fall into it. Well my first wallet from here lasted me a good two years before one of my kids tore a hole in the bottom of my coin purse
