My first visit to this store, There are many choices of fabric and notions. The clerks who helped me were knowledgeable and helpful. However one person who might have been management was very short and demeaning to the clerks who worked there, I saw her react angrily/ demeaning and ugly at least 3 different times while I was there within less than an hour. Maybe she was having a bad day but the people who run the store are the lifeline to the customers supporting the business and customers see your behavior. Be kind. read more

This is a lovely Quilt Shop with a vast selection of beautiful fabric and products to browse. There is a sales rack in the back for fabrics and an area where quilt samples are for sale! You can buy small cuts from yardage which is a nice option. read more

The fabric selection is amazing. Fabrics are sorted by color which is very helpful when looking for particular colors for a quilt. The lighting was good, so fabric shades/colors are easy to identify. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning for future sewing projects. read more

Wow! This huge store has a variety of fabric choices and the largest batik collection I've seen. It is clean, arranged by themed fabrics with a staff that is friendly and helpful. It is certain to be my go to when looking for quilting or garment fabrics. read more

Love this store! I'm sad it's no longer in "the house," which had been SO charming! Apparently, they moved to this location a long time ago, and have even expanded in the current location. They have a very large selection!!!!! They carry Kaffe Fasset, lots of batiks, lots of flannels, kits, notions, etc. They have roller carts for people who have too many bolts to carry (don't set your stuff on a counter without talking to an employee, or your stuff will apparently get put away - totally makes sense, but it did happen to a gal while I was there). The Quilt Barn is also a longarm machine dealer/rep, but I don't recall the brand. Staff are super friendly!!! Oh - due to COVID-19, they're limiting the #of people in the store, so there was a line, outside. We waited approximately 30 minutes to enter, but I absolutely appreciate the safety precautions they're taking! Hours are different, also due to COVID-19, so make sure you check before you go (FB info might not be correct?). I highly recommend The Quilt Barn!! read more

I visited this shop for the first time yesterday as we happened to be down in the area on other business. What a delight! I found all I needed and more. The selection of fabrics is simply amazing! Especially batiks. I only had about 45 minutes to browse, I know I'll be going back again as I didn't get to see everything they have. read more

Well don't order online from here! I placed an order on a Sunday evening (they were closed). About 30 minutes later, I changed my mine and sent an email canceling my order. The cancelation order was ignored even though the order didn't ship until 2 days later. I sent a dispute through paypal and they ignored that too. That equals BAD customer service to me and I DO NOT recommend this place. The least they could have done was let me know, one way or another, about my cancellation but NO. RUDE!!! read more

This quilt shop has a lot of fabric and a huge selection of batik's. The shop owner loves batik's. So much so that if you ask for something else you will be encouraged to use batik instead of whatever else you prefer, if they don't have it. You can find anything you could ever dream of in batik's at the store. It's a batik lover's paradise. They have a very nice area for the work parties and the classes they have. I have been to this place a ton of times, and each time I give the employees time to help, and each time they never do. They are rude, unhelpful and not friendly whatsoever. I am done, I do not plan on patronizing this store again. I am a quilter and like to have a quilt store close by, oh well, I will drive to somewhere else and give them my business. I was just in there and was asking about appliqué because it is something that I would like to learn better so I am not so afraid. Yep, no help, trying to get them to offer a class or a show me a small project or something, nope, nothing. Absolutely THE WORST customer service! 3 strikes you're out ladies... Unless you are apart of the 65 plus crowd they make you feel like you have no business being in their store. I felt like the new kid walking into a nest of mean girls. I went in today against my better judgement based on previous experiences on behalf of another person who was looking for fabric to complete a quilt her mother started (her mother passed away) only to ONCE AGAIN be treated like crap. Prior to today's visit I had gone in seeking help and advice for my daughter and I thinking this was where I would find a professional..pfft NOT. I've never been made to feel so out of place and uncomfortable, it was awkward. Went in today and the blond hair lady was rude! This is the second time she has not been very nice. I've been going here for years and have never been so disappointed in the clerks attitude. People will touch your sample if you leave it on the counter or leave it out to show. That's what quilters do! I will shop your store for samples and go online to purchase, just so I don't have to deal with her attitude! read more

I really wanted,to like this shop because they carry a ton of fabric. So many styles and shades. But, in the end they were rude and expensive. And as an advid crazy quilter I usually just get an 8th of a yard (4 1/2 inches) but 9 is the smallest they cut. I don't get it I was the only person in the shop and needed 43 cuts of fabric but it was not worth the time they say. And the fat quarters were 25cent more than most stores. So I went to Trains and she was more,than happy to take my 178$ and cut me 8ths. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The staff was nothing but a complete batch of sourpusses. I am a strong advocate of supporting local shops even though the fabric is cheaper on line. I understand their added cost and work and appreciate the chance to actually browse through the fabrics. Ungrateful, rude, bitter... just overall nasty women. There are plenty of places to shop. I'll take my business and $$$ elsewhere. read more

I have been going to the Quilt Barn for the entire 10+ years I've been quilting. BTW, if you haven't been there in a few years, the new location is much more open and roomy than the previous one and has tons of sample/demo quilts hanging high on the walls. (I just love that!) The owner Pam has excellent taste in fabric choices. You will love every single thing in the shop! The staff is very helpful, patient, and ethical. The classes are excellent. If you want to know the latest tips and techniques, this shop is great. One of the top quilt shops in the Puget Sound region for sure! Easy to find, lots of parking, accessible, and roomy enough inside to use a walker or wheelchair. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. They virtually have any fabric I could use, their book selection is great and if they don't have a specific title, they'll get it for you. There notions are numerable and they usually have what ever I need or they will get it soon! I feel the gals who work there are always helpful and friendly, they will always try and help over the phone and if the person you're talking to can't help, they will try to get someone else who can! I use this store when I need fabrics in a pinch and some other notions that I can't get at Joann's. For me personally, the fabric selection is very limited as much of what they carry is more traditional than I care for. Fabric selection for children is pretty good, though the customer service always leaves a lot to be desired. read more

I love the way the fabric is sorted pretty much by color and design. I get so overwhelmed when trying to find fabric at other shops. There is enough room to prevent the closed-in feeling. You can stand back a bit to get a good view of the fabric of choice. Samples are arranged beautifully along the walls and on top on the shelving. Employees are more like friends. I've never felt rushed or overlooked. Questions are answered w/o my feeling they were talking down to me. I love this shop!!! read more

I do love the fabrics and patterns at the Quilt Barn, but I have been less than pleased with the level of customer service. I have sewed forever, but recently began my quilting journey just over a year ago. I have managed to build my fabric stash to an enviable size in the year I have been quilting, just ask my husband, ha! Unfortunately, I always leave the store feeling like I have inconvenienced the ladies who cut my fabric. I continue to shop there, because I love the fabric and I really enjoy the other customers who are helpful and willing to share their tips and experiences with patterns I am shopping for. I am forever hopeful my next stop at the Quilt Barn with end with a positive customer service experience so I can update my review. read more
