I have always felt Hobby Lobby is generally overrated. Don't get me wrong, the place has beautiful stuff and I can blow A LOT of time looking around. It is pricey and comparable items at other stores (like Kirkland's, Gordman's, TJ Maxx, etc) are much cheaper. Their items on sale are what I would consider full price. With that, they DO have unique items I have not seen in other stores and I have shopped at LENGTH the last few wks over many stores and several states. For example, one picture I found half price in Hobby Lobby was $80. I purchased the exact same picture for $24.99! at Kirkland's. It is a lovely picture with vibrant, bold colors, but I wouldn't pay $80 for it on my nuttiest day! Overall, shop wisely at Hobby Lobby. I do make purchases here, but it is ALWAYS with a coupon or on clearance. read more

Ugh.....i waited in line and they opened another register. They took 3 other customers at that register who just had walked up. Mind you myself and 3 others were waiting over 10 mins. They had 2 lines open but 5 cashiers 3 of which were standing there j6st talking. When the 3rd register opened the "manager" said are you sure you want to do cashier right now. Really?! I believe her name was Brianne. She needs to go. I hardly ever go in because like today again i am over charged for something on sale. I only go there 8f they don't have it at Joanne's. From now on i will drive the hour and half to Michael's if Joanne's doesn't have it or get it online from somewhere else. I can not believe these people. So angry! read more

While I agree that Hobby Lobby has some expensive items, their sales are just fantastic. I used to work at a small one in San Antonio, TX, and when we had holiday sales, boy were they great! On the other hand, non-clearance or all-season merchandise can usually be compared as the HIGHEST price, so you can go to A.C Moore or Michael's and perhaps see what kinds of bargains they are holding. Hobby Lobby does a lot for local communities though, and charities. So, at least you know it;s not all going down the pockets of their CEO and Board Members. Try for their Credit Card, it's not a terrible deal, if you tend to buy a lot from there. read more

I'm from out of state and love other Hobby Lobbies. The one in Lawton is well stocked but has the rudest employees. They act like answering a question or helping you find something is an enormous task for them. The lady at the sewing desk seemed really put out she had to cut material for me.
