We were originally able to price match to Walmart's price and were hoping to exchange them for a new pair, as the ones we bought had a static sound issue right out of the box. When we approached the electronics department, two newer employees were unsure how to assist, so they called over what appeared to be a team lead. Unfortunately, this individual--Elysia, who wore glasses and had tattoos--was extremely rude and unprofessional from the start. She asked us--rudely and with attitude--why we were returning the item. We explained multiple times that there was an issue with the AirPods, and all we wanted to do was return them and purchase a new pair using the same price match we were given the day before. She dismissed us, saying she couldn't price match because it wasn't showing in her system, despite the fact that it had just been honored the previous day. Her tone and demeanor made us feel disrespected and unwelcome, and it was clear she wasn't interested in actually helping us or even trying to understand the situation. What made it even more frustrating was that the employee who helped us the day before was incredibly kind and helpful--there were no issues at all with the price match, and the process was smooth and professional. I have never had an issue with this kind of situation before, but today's experience left a very bad impression--especially coming from a team lead. We even heard the people behind us ask for a price match on a remote controller. If Elysia couldn't help us with a price match, I'm not sure how she would be able to assist anyone else with one. It's clear she doesn't have the proper etiquette or training to do so. She easily could've handed this issue off to someone capable of resolving it, but she chose not to--and her actions made that clear. After this interaction and being treated with attitude, we kindly took our business to San Jose--a whole other town away--and did the return there with better satisfaction and customer service. We could have easily returned the item and taken our business to Walmart--but we chose Target because we expected better service. Disappointing, to say the least.

I met Steve (aka the owner and artist of Reclaim wood) 4 years ago. Steve showed us some of his…read morework and it always stuck with me because it was beautiful, affordable and just as amazing as any Restoration Hardware piece. At that time we were in a starter home and were not ready to make any commitments to furniture. I kept all of his information and 4 years later we moved into our dream home. I always envisioned a round table with oversized chairs to sit around in a breakfast nook and just hangout in. I was looking at pedestal tables from restoration hardware for $3k+ and I remember Steve telling me he can recreate anything from a picture. So I gave him and call and emailed him over some sketches of a table I had seen in a magazine. He told me he could make it! Now, I was thinking more of modern stained finish rather than a distressed wood look, which is Steve's bread and butter. Steve obliged me and sent me pictures of the process along the way. I was able to say no I think I want it darker or to move some of the leg pieces around. I mean you are truly getting a 1 of a kind piece! If you are in a hurry to get a piece of furniture keep in mind he is VERY busy but willing to work with schedules. I was not in a hurry so the timeframe did not bother me. Steve delivered our table to the house and I was so nervous to finally see it in person. It is so beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. It has a perfect balance of old and new for me! I would highly recommend giving Steve a call instead of paying Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware prices for "wood" furniture, which I don't even think is real wood from these retailers. Steve is the real deal and I have actually ran into people in the local community that have some of his pieces and they were also very pleased with his artistry.
