I met Steve (aka the owner and artist of Reclaim wood) 4 years ago. Steve showed us some of his work and it always stuck with me because it was beautiful, affordable and just as amazing as any Restoration Hardware piece. At that time we were in a starter home and were not ready to make any commitments to furniture. I kept all of his information and 4 years later we moved into our dream home. I always envisioned a round table with oversized chairs to sit around in a breakfast nook and just hangout in. I was looking at pedestal tables from restoration hardware for $3k+ and I remember Steve telling me he can recreate anything from a picture. So I gave him and call and emailed him over some sketches of a table I had seen in a magazine. He told me he could make it! Now, I was thinking more of modern stained finish rather than a distressed wood look, which is Steve's bread and butter. Steve obliged me and sent me pictures of the process along the way. I was able to say no I think I want it darker or to move some of the leg pieces around. I mean you are truly getting a 1 of a kind piece! If you are in a hurry to get a piece of furniture keep in mind he is VERY busy but willing to work with schedules. I was not in a hurry so the timeframe did not bother me. Steve delivered our table to the house and I was so nervous to finally see it in person. It is so beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. It has a perfect balance of old and new for me! I would highly recommend giving Steve a call instead of paying Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware prices for "wood" furniture, which I don't even think is real wood from these retailers. Steve is the real deal and I have actually ran into people in the local community that have some of his pieces and they were also very pleased with his artistry. Just received our custom reclaimed redwood dining table (with live edge and removable extensions!) and love it! I found out about Steven (the owner) via Yelp after desperately exhausted of searching for a new table ... back in January I got an email saying that a table I bought back in October with matching chairs was out of stock and I will have to keep the chairs because the shipping to return the chairs was super expensive. Thank God I Steven came into the picture. He promptly replied to me and sent me his link for the jobs he has done before (it's amazing) and the price was even better. He was able to designed a table that me and my husband were dreaming for the longest time and matched perfectly the stain from the chairs I got for the other table. He was able to built a 70x70 square table out of reclaimed wood and it is just so beautiful ... I think we went a little too big on the size... but definitely COVID safe table now . We are in loved! A few days ago I was looking all over the internet to get a bed /daybed for my living room, but did not find anything to my liking. Then I started looking on Craigslist.That's how I found Steve. I took a look at his website and liked his work. As a visual artist myself, I saw living art in his furniture pieces. I emailed Steve with my request and sent him a picture of what I wanted, but in his style. Waited a while then called him. He immediately opened my email saw the picture and quoted me a reasonable price and said it will be ready in a week. I was thrilled and said yes immediately. The best part is he does not charge any money upfront. I thought this was really a great deal. There were one or two things I wanted Steve to take into consideration regarding the bed, so I emailed him but did not hear back. Two day went by, then I called him & left a message, still no word from him. Now I started wondering if I should start my search all over again to find someone else as I wasn't sure if he was working on my bed. Just before the week was over Steve replied to my email to say he was busy with a family event and the bed will be done as soon as he gets back in town. I was relieved, as I did not mind a few extra days as long as I got the bed in the time frame I had given him. In stead of Friday I'm getting my bed today which is a Monday (within my time frame). He charged a small fee for the delivery and brought my bed. I'm really happy with it and its great to know the wood is from a 18thC. barn from the hills of Santa Cruz. I'm sure my friends are going to love it too and might even end up getting something from Steve. I know I will want to get more stuff from Steve.He has a great referral program too. The TV console and coffee table custom made by Steve are absolutely gorgeous and fit our home perfectly. We gave Steve pictures we found online and our measurements, and that was all he needed to get us a quote. We were not overly specific as to the actual look and wanted Steve to have some leeway in the design. He would ask questions if he needed clarification, and he gave us suggestions along the way. I had a great experience with Steve. Found him on craigslist. We wanted a farmhouse table with a bench. Called him and gave him the measurements I was looking for and what finish I wanted. It took a little longer than expected to get the table to me (he delivers:)) but didn't charge us the delivery fee because of it. The table is gorgeous! Attention skeptics! When I found Steve's website (through his craigslist ad), I was very skeptical, but he said there was no money down required, so I thought it was worth a shot...and I wanted a custom piece that I saw on pinterest (double dog crate hutch) only I wanted it made with reclaimed wood. I sent him the pinterest photo via email and gave him the dimensions I needed and asked if he could make it. He said yes and that he would get started that weekend. He asked a few follow up questions and then got to work. I asked for status updates every few days and he let me know where he was at (cut the pieces, constructed, etc). Once it sounded like he was about done, I asked when we could come pick it up (he's about 2 hours from our home in Sacramento). He actually offered, instead, to come drop it off and I only needed to pay for gas!! He asked for my address and...I'll be honest...I was a little freaked out...here I had a guy who I never met, took my order via email, no money down, offered to drive 2 hours to deliver a custom piece and he wanted my address. It seemed too good to be true and I had a fleeting thought that this may have been a scam all along. SO I asked for a photo of the piece first...it was GORGEOUS and exactly what I wanted!!! He delivered it a few days later, stuck with the same original price he gave me via email and only asked for gas money for delivery - he and my hubby moved it in the house and it fit perfectly!!! For anyone considering a custom project - this guy really is the real deal!!! He even told us the origin of all the wood he used in our piece - some as old as 80 years! Steve is also creative and follows the latest decor trends, so he made some recommendations for other projects we're considering like book shelves and wine storage. Looks like he does great work, and his website states he's never had a complaint (although there isn't anywhere to verify), Unfortunately I've resorted to posting this negative review after trying multiple times to contact him to schedule the delivery of our piece he has supposedly been making for months.. Just disappointed, but nothing really out of pocket in terms of losses as he only took a small deposit to cover the custom soft close drawer hardware. read more

Reclaimed Wood Concepts exceeded my expectations with the wall installation of weathered patina wood planks with brown, gray, and white tones. Before the installation, the owner Steve invited me to his shop where I seen many samples of his fine woodworking skills. Steve has a wide range of designs from custom cabinetry to custom furniture. Walking through his shops sparked many ideas for future projects. Steve took the time to walk me through the process and showed me some samples so I would have a better visual of my wall. We discussed a timeline and negotiated an extremely reasonable price. Steve delivered on time, worked in a clean and orderly fashion, and completed the project without delay. My husband and I met with Steve on a Sunday as he happened to be working at his shop which was so convenient for two working people! We discussed a long mantle/ shelf to place on a huge wall we have in our house. Steve got our vision right away and showed us numerous options and woods for our project! He told us the price (SO reasonable) and time frame (ONE WEEK!) and we were in! About a week later, sure enough he came to our house and explained exactly what he was doing!
