Great store, love finding things to use to decorate my home with! I spend way too much time in the store going up & down the aisles......

This place! No matter the day, there is a line and the person at the register appears to be on their first day and still in training. Even if there are four people on registers, they all seem to be in training mode. Everyone moves at the pace of a snail. The person that checked me out today had such a disdainful look on her face. I couldn't even make eye contact with her. Filled with the spirit of Jesus, no doubt. With Joanns closed it's the nearest place to get art supplies, but I hate hate hate hate hate giving these people money. read more

Other than it took me a while to perform a full clockwise circuit of the store to find the section I needed, it was a very pleasant shop today at the Hobby Lobby. Once I located the section with what I needed, I was pleased to see that they had precisely the manufacturer and the model of the paintbrushes that my wife prefers. I got two. If I could give less stars I would-I came in to do a return buy some additional items for my daughter's shower. When I got my additional items, I noticed they were on sale for 40% off from when I originally purchased them. I asked the cashier to do a price adjustment-she said no. I then asked her if I could do a return/rebuy she yes. She asked me for the items, I said I didn't know they were on sale, so I don't have them. She started shaking her head laughing saying no way. I asked for a manager to double check since NOWHERE on the posted return policy posted does it say you cannot do this or the price adjustment. In any case, it was what followed that has me so irate. I asked for her to check with a manager the asst manager said no one ever did what I was asking so she assumes it was a "no". I am sorry but I have not had to have the items for this in other stores, but in any case, like I said its not in the policy, yet she also said no. I then joked with the cashier that I should have bought them at the sale price returned them with the original slip for my travel inconvenience as a joke & she told me she wasn't going to wait on me for being dishonest immoral. Are you serious!!! She kept going on to the point where other customers were looking at me I was so embarrassed I asked her to stop, she didn't. I left a woman in the parking lot said she was appalled how I was treated. It was unnecessary to say the least, I was not rude-I don't expect to be treated that way.I went home to Massachusetts, got the items & went to another Hobby Lobby location instead--so another 45min each way of my time. Had no problem returning/rebuying the cashier said to me there was NO need to bring the items in. So, not only was I embarrassed humiliated, but then told I really didn't have to go all the way home back really dampens the items I bought for my daughter's shower. I don't ever even want to see them again or go to Hobby Lobby again. Avoid Gayle when you are in the Nashua location! read more

Had a great experience the other day when I needed to buy a model airplane for a child's Christmas present and had not a clue about model airplanes! Lucky for me in the model airplane isle was an associate who knew everything about them and even which type of glue to get! Phew! Very friendly and helpful staff here. I especially love all the home decor and the prices are reasonable! I could spend all day here the store is so big! read more

Hobby Lobby and I don't necessarily share the same political views, which is why I had never been in there before. Then another store (see other reviews) failed me with terrible service. So- being someone who needs a lot of help I came to hobby lobby. Not only was I impressed with how big it was and how much junk I wanted but don't need that was in there... One of the best craft and home furnishing stores in the area. Very pleasant experience

This is the worst location. The young people who work there have been actually pretty nice but not helpful, but the older people make up for it by being EXTRA rude and nasty. I got a $200 gift card for my birthday, every time I went to use it (3x) the card wouldn't work. You have to slide the card about 15 times before it allows the employee to type the number in. The first time I used it and had to do this I was mortified because the cashier acted like it was my fault and was awful to me, so I asked the store manager if he could put the remaining balance on a new card, he said no. The next time I came was to exchange a shirt for a different size, had my receipt, it was only a day later still brand new with tags never warn. But my gift card is so awful so I told them ahead of time it was going to be a pain but they ignored me and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about when I said they have to keep swiping it before it can be manually entered. Eventually she realized I was exchanging it so she just took the old shirt THREW the new one at my chest and said "BYE!". I left nearly in tears. The last time was the other day I was the only person there because there was a snow storm. Got my stuff tried to check out, it was two young people. Very nice but again they ignored me when I warned them about my card. I said "the store manager says it has to be swiped a bunch until it prompts you to manually enter it" I must have said this 7 times but they ignored me and continued trying all these different things assuming I didn't know what I was talking about, plus they didn't bother to ask anyone else to help them. I stood there for a long time telling them how to do it, they ignored me so I said can you please call someone up? Manager comes, was a jerk like all the older people. I said Ill go to Manchester next time and he sarcastically said to me "oh no!" And then laughed as I walked out. I love hobby lobby but it sucks that they're so proud of how hateful and mean they are to their customers. They know that their cult following will always come back so they can treat people however they want and still be successful. Idk if anyone else is like me but when I have to stand there with a line behind me and a cashier being horrible to me I get extremely anxious and just want to run away. I live next door but still can't go back because I refuse to let them have my money and treat me like crap, but they lost a good customer and a kind customer in me. It's weird that a Christian owned chain shows the community that Christian values mean treating people like dirt. They should be ashamed. read more

Awful experience at this store today, 8/14 around 12:30 pm. Not only was the place a disheveled mess but my mother, daughter and I were treated like total garbage in the fabric department. The woman working there was smug and short with us for absolutely no reason. Her tone was more rude than I've ever experienced from someone in customer service, to be honest. She also snapped at my 8 year old daughter for simply picking up a safety pin from a pile of safety pins that were on the counter and told her "that's not for YOU to touch," in such a demeaning way. Not only is my daughter perfectly capable of using a safety pin (she uses them frequently during her sewing classes) but both myself and my mother were both standing right there with her. It was incredibly offensive to have this woman make assumptions about my parenting and speak to my child that way. When she was done cutting my fabric, she handed me my receipt and said in an obviously sarcastic tone, "have a GREAT day" then looked at the woman waiting behind me and ROLLED HER EYES! All of this attitude for seemingly no reason at all. The morale at this store just felt bad in general. The cashier was also pretty dismissive of our presence, but at least she wasn't mean! I'm still shaking my head in disbelief of how unbelievably bad our experience was. read more

These guys have absolutely the best and most unique stuff for home decor. Their sales are amazing. Every time I go, there is something new and different. I only wish my house was big enough to fit all the well designed and tasteful decor I love at Hobby Lobby. read more

I went to Hobby Lobby for the first time for black friday in Nashua. The cashier manually entered the marked prices on the items. By the time i realized my items were way more expected i jumped in and asked if she was doing marking the sales down. She told me there was no sale on those items when another cashier turned around and told her there was. She changed the price on one of the items and not the other three... that were the exact same. After that she proceeded to manually punch in the tagged price without looking at the sheet with what was on sale.. again charging me the full price for the rest of the items. She seemed a bit annoyed and I got nervous to say something again. I spent way more than anticipated. :( read more

Big store made more exhausting in that there are no signs indicating what items are in that aisle. I was only there for 2 things on a slow night and had to find a clerk BOTH times to find my items. Then I get to cashier and the little old fashioned sticky price is gone from 1 item but "they don't use barcodes" so she calls for price check. Guess what? There's nobody answering her call because "nobody is standing by the phone" ( which I'm guessing is a rotary dial landline?) so nobody can give her a price! She flags down an employee and that person has to walk briskly to back of store to unnumbered unmarked aisle to look for price. This store used to be a Market Basket so it's good sized. Bring your walking shoes and don't be in a hurry. I'm not an arts and crafty type but the store is well organized and looks better than the nearby AC Moore. And don't forget, they're closed on Sundays. read more

This place looks like a warehouse where old junk from your grandmother's estate sale goes to retire. The store itself is so bland and littered with religious paraphernalia. I understand the store is well known for supporting the religious lifestyle, so I'm not too surprised that this a common theme among many of their items. They have a few things that are up to date with current styles and the coupons are good enough to get me coming back. The staff is pretty rude, though, which is a huge deterrent. My friend and I were there, we both had a 40% coupon that we each found online. We each had it on our own phones. The cashier advised us, even though we were paying separately and not even buying the same or similar items, we could not both use the coupon because they only allow one per "party." I didn't realize we were a party, despite us paying separately and no where did it indicate friends going to the same store were not allowed to use the same coupon if they were making their own purchases. She said people take advantage of the coupons and have their friends buy things for them. It seemed like a ridiculous policy, so I let her know I wouldn't be purchasing my item, if I was unable to get the discount. She seemed annoyed, snatched the picture from my hand and put it at the register behind her. It definitely felt uncalled for, considering I wasn't taking money out of her pocket by using the coupon. read more

Purchased a ceramic sign from here. The cashier did not bag the "delicate" items properly, and once I returned home the item was broken. I returned to the store and spoke with the cashier who was super rude but told me I could switch it out with the same item. I went and found the item and when I returned to the cashier she had the manager waiting for me who said they could not take back the sign.."if we took back every item people broke when they got home, it would be ridiculous". She then tried to sell me ceramic glue, as if that was going to change the fact that the item was broken. You could clearly tell I had not even hung the item up as it still had all the cardboard casings on it. Talk about terrible customer service. I work as a manager and would never let a client leave my business dissatisfied. I love this store but I'll never return based on the customer service alone. read more

Having been familiar with Hobby Lobby before they came to NH, I will say the Nashua location is the worst! Horrible customer service with attitude. This store is a disgrace to Hobby Lobby as a whole. If you know exactly what you want, know where it is, and could self checkout, they might be an asset to the community. Since that's not the case, Michael's is right up 101a. read more
