This store has by far the WORST customer service! Their management team attempts to resolve issues by approaching the customers saying " what's the problem " and saying " mkay " as if the customers don't deserve respect. My mind is blown that a Christian store hires people as MANAGERS who treat customers like absolute crap. Their customer service is despicable. I really am not a fan of craft stores at all whatsoever. But I bare them because my boyfriend is extremely artistic and my mom loves diy projects. My bf and I usually go to michaels but I forgot that hobby lobby was right up the street from my house. We went there today and our trip was rather disappointing. Not because they didn't have what he wanted (they had everything and a little more) but because of the service. This trip he bought a lot more than usual and I was worried that nothing was on sale. Fortunately I have a coupon app that showed hobby lobby had a 40% off one item coupon available (score!). Now I wasn't sure what there coupon policy or if they took competitor coupons so I asked the young woman at the counter what they deal was and she explained one coupon per person per day. Okay fine no problem. I split the transaction so we both could use the coupon and pay separately. She started ringing the items up and realized I had a separate order and told me "umm ma'am I'm going to let it slide this time since "he's"!with you but you can't do that". I may only be 23 but I don't appreciate anyone talking to me like a child no matter how old they are. I let her little comment go because I didn't want to be there any longer than I had to be but I will never be shopping here anymore. Michaels and joanns will do just fine from now on. read more

This place is dangerous in a good way. When I walk in I wwant to buy everything in the entire store. My main hobby is crocheting and they have a better variety of yarn than the other craft chains in the area. It's reasonably priced and the Hobby Lobby brands are even cheaper and seem too be better quality. The staff is helpful- they answer questions and know what products I need to do a project if I tell them what I want. They do not follow me around asking if I need anything which gives them bonus points. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the fact that they aren't open on Sundays. read more

i first got turned into this place by my girlfriend and I guess from the name I always thought that it would be some girly craft store. Dang was I wrong. Im big into art and drawing and they had a huggge section of art supplies. I think the only place with a bigger selection is Az Art Supply.. but they're not near me. The store is clean, smells nice and the soft Christian music playing in the background is even good. People are very helpful if you need to find something. if there was any gripe, it might be that if you have a ton of people in line, there's only one cashier at a time. Not too big of a deal, but just incase you're the impatient type. Great store and great prices. They are always running at least 50% on a huge selection of picture frames. read more

This store didn't seem to have as much compared to other Hobby Lobby stores I have been in. It was hard to find a staff member to help me find anything so I finally just found it on my own. They only had 1 cashier and a long line of people waiting to check out. After about 10 minutes in line, another cashier finally opened her register to help out. read more

A couple of weeks ago I went into hobby lobby and Andrew saved the day! I was working on a friends wedding planning/scrapbook and the binder ring broke. I was so stressed because I was going to have to redo the front of the binder and finish the book in time. On my way to hobby lobby I was anxious because I envisioned the return process being a hassle, plus I needed a new one. When I got to hobby lobby I showed Andrew what happened to the binder. He told me to go pick out the items I used to design the cover and I grabbed another binder. At the register Andrew bagged up the items that I got to redo the binder. I was shocked that the whole process went so smoothly! I love scrapbooking and making wreaths so to know that there is a hobby lobby close to me with such great customer service makes me so happy! read more

The customer service at this location is horrible. I was trying to purchase all the decor for my wedding. My entire order was rang up incorrectly. Literally one thing from my entire cart full of stuff got rang up at the correct price. The employee argued with me about the prices and when the manager came over, she was rude as well. I ended up not buying anything cause they were so rude. I will never shop at any hobby lobby store again and will be advising my friends and family to avoid them as well. read more

Hobby Lobby has everything from stylish home decor to obscure crafting supplies to a vast selection of holiday decor depending on the season. Almost everything is on sale, and if it's not, go get a coupon from their website. As a crafter, I prefer it 100x over Michaels. I get so excited when I "need" a material because I know it's just an excuse to revamp my entire home with new artwork and crafty projects. Love the store. They have a lot of cool stuff. However, no one asked if I needed help while my daughter and I stood at a locked case. After seeing a few employees walk by and not say anything. I figured they were busy helping someone else. I go and look for someone to help and I find no one. Then, i see the framing guy and i ask him for help. He opens the case and takes the product up front. As I follow him I see the other two employees closer to the front of the store just cleaning and stocking. So, I feel like there should be more employees on the floor helping people. Other than that, I like the store and I will be going back. read more

Absolutely horrible manager, did not catch her name as we wer furious but after looking at a mirror that we wanted despite the multiple cracks and warps and a different manager said we could have it for 50. While checking out this manager overheard us saying 50 and snapped "no" at us like a child not getting her way then the cashier said it was quoted 66 percent off and the manager said that that was fine, 66 percent off was 50! She then proceeded to be rude towards us and the cashier because she was proven wrong. Will never return here simply because of her. read more

I don't know how to rate a place like Hobby Lobby but I was extremely impressed with the customer service of the Stores. I found the perfect Christmas tree and went to multiple locations to find it. Everywhere I called, I was greeted and made to feel like I was the most important customer. Some folks even asked for my return number in order to call me back if one of my trees showed up. Some called, some didn't but the point is that the store has a large selection of items so rating this is purely based on customer service and it was a 5 of 5! read more

Friends bring a map... I would like to know why I never see anyone on the floor that can offer assistance to the lost souls that roam freely? The other day I saw several caring a bolt of material to the cash register counter asking for help. I heard ringing bells coming from the framing department and I heard people squalking to stranges near the crafts do they know where this and this is? I see the help stocking shelves not wanting to look up to see us standing there asking for assistance. Clearly we go to Hobby Lobby because we love their what they sell. I only hope I can find it the next time I venture in. Gosh I can never get out of this store in under an hour! They have such great deals, everything is typically on sale. They also send out 40% off email coupons all the time. If I am ever looking for a special house gift or stylish decor I know I will find it here. The store is organized very well and not cluttered, the staff is also very friendly. I will never be back, there was a heavy set middle aged woman working the cash register on the other side of the one we were checking out of.For some reason she kept turning around and giving my husband dirty looks, when he put his hand on the dividing partition she bumped into his hand and rudely said excuse me and continued looking over giving him dirty looks she definately had an attitude. When we left we called the store manager to complain and were told she was protecting her cash register, give me a break we are grandparents minding our own business and not looking to rob a hobby shop. The good news is I have this store for everything I need. If you are deep into some form of art or craft I suggest buying your supplies online but if you just want some paint or some supplies quick or to try out new things stop here. I stopped going to your store as soon as I heard that Hobby Lobby does not provide insurance coverage for birth Control to your employees under your employee health insurance. . Religion does NOT belong in retail business unless you only want to do business with other persons of your same beliefs. You lost me as a customer. I am originally from Chicago and used to frequently visit Hobby Lobby when I lived there. After 5 years of living in AZ, they finally put a Hobby Lobby 5 minutes from my house and wow I forgot how much I love this store! This location specifically is so clean and so spacious, it is unbelievable. You do not walk in and feel overwhelmed with piles and piles of arts and crafts. Space is also important to me since I have a baby and require a stroller in every store. Never once did I feel like I couldnt get through an aisle with my stroller. I was in Hobby Lobby looking for items for my wedding. What a deal I scored. All weddign items were half off and a lot of there stuff is really nice! Also, if you are looking for a place for picture frames, Hobby Lobby is the place to go! They are usually 50% off and they have a ton of awesome frames! I'm not sure how someone could give this location any less than 5 stars. Must have been grumpy or something. Anyway, this is by FAR the BEST Hobby Lobby location of the bunch. I've been to almost all of them and this one continues to be leaps and bounds ahead of the pack. The store is always quiet and there is hardly ever a crowd. The store is brighter and cleaner than the others and I prefer the layout of this one to the others because it just makes sense. I come here to buy the fabric remnants in the scrapyard because I am just learning to sew and they always have lots of stuff to choose from at a great price. When purchasing fabric here and getting it cut, the line, if there is one, will go about 22.7 times faster than your average cutting line anywhere else. The employees are all nice and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about this store. I've been multiple times and each experience is just as pleasant as the last. read more

I told the fool at least five times nicely please do not put my brand new canvas and glass plates in bags with heavy paint, he did not listen. then my attitude started to rise as well. please do not put my brand new items and glass plates in with items that could break them, and then he did not even offer to wrap anything or to abide by my wishes. by this time I had called for a manager. the manager was no helpful. by this time I was swearing and very pissed off. now I've spent over $80 on brand new items for my art school and now I am kicked out of Hobby Lobby. This Hobby Lobby looks old and dirty. The manger needs training. Haji is an idiot and needs personal training. But thanks for nothing Hobby Lobby I don't even need you I will spend my money somewhere else. I'll have somebody else return my items and I'll spend my hard earned money somewhere else. WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE I had looked forward to the opening of Hobby Lobby in my area and went there for the first time yesterday. Although it does not have signs to let you know where items are, of course that may be part of the plan you just wander aimlessly through the aisles, the clerks are friendly and helpful. That said I purchased a lamp a small touchier with a glass shade that looked like alabaster when I got to the check out I noticed it was crooked and the check out girl attempted to repair it as I was not going to take it in that condition but when I got it home I noticed it was cracked along the socket where the girl had tried to fix it. I took it back today and the manager Gary said it is obvious I had broken it and would not give me an exchange or refund what poor business practices. I was not responsible for anything but being a customer. He said I would have seen the crack but because of the design in the glass you could not see it. Needless to say I will not be shopping there again and I will let all my friends know about how poorly I was treated read more

I'm giving only one star but I would give zero stars for customer service. ALL employees basically ignored me the entire time I was in the store. This is not the first time this has happened, it has happened every single visit to Hobby Lobby. Like the selection a lot. Wish the checkout was automated so I wasn't constantly having to see if the cashier remembered to manually enter any prices & discounts. Checkout lines very long.
