I visited the location in the village of Mount Pleasant (near Racine, WI) to check out their 8-acre corn maze. The theme this year is the Loch Ness Monster, but I wouldn't let the theme influence you either way as it did not have a significant impact on the experience. The maze is divided up into different sections/quadrants that can easily be identified by different colored (blue, yellow, white, and green) strips running throughout the maze. The colors don't ruin the level of difficulty; they simply let you know that you are progressing into the next section and are really something of a safety measure. I moved at a relatively brisk pace and was unencumbered by small children. That said, it took me approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete, walking roughly three miles. I thought it was a neat experience, and it gave me a nice touch of nostalgia as I haven't done a corn maze since I was a kid. I recommend checking it out, but I think it would be challenging to do at night or with children requiring a stroller as the ground is obviously dirt and not even. *Also make sure to use the restroom prior to entering

Over the last few years I have developed a relationship with the staff and they know my love for the Golden Girls, so when I pop in it is to see if there is any new Golden Girls merchandise in stock. Last night I received a voicemail from an employee informing me some Golden Girls items were back in stock and wanted to know if I had them and wanted them if I didn't. I stopped in tonight and was greeted by another employee by my name and informed me of the new Golden Girls items they ordered and were excited to show me when they came in. Again, I don't come here often but when I do I feel like more then a person that "just buys stuff". I am treated wonderfully. Thank you Steve and Liz and the rest of the staff for being you. They do sell out of the flowers quickly due to Mother's day though, so be prepared! In addition, they have two adorable gift shops that the wife and I love to shop at year-round. They change the shops based on the seasons and it's particularly fun to explore around Halloween and Christmas. On top of that, the staff here is an amazing group that will always engage, answer any questions you have, and make sure you enjoy what you are getting.

The young man and woman that were there, we super friendly and helpful. They were so personable and took time to explain the background of many items. I especially appreciated the vast array of Kenosha or Wisconsin specific items since I grew up in Kenosha but live out of town. This is the perfect shop for a special gift. They had a huge selection of wine, beer, cheese, crackers, meats, etc. They also have a bakery, deli, bar, and restaurant. I picked up some pretzels, honey mustard dipping sauce, a few bottles of wine from wineries in Wisconsin (including Door County and Prairie du Sac), Wisconsin beer, a variety of cheeses and crackers.
