They were very rude when asking about the price something rang up as. Was told if it had a yellow ticket, that is the price, and I should read the fine print on the sign! I am very disappointed, as I am a crafter, and like the store, but the service is awful! Signs do not paint a very good picture of what is on sale and what is not. They need to do a better job of hiring people! read more

The first thing I noticed about this location is that the entrance is smack in the cashier isles. Small entrance to begin with, pretty standard location after that. I saw a huge paint section, one that I haven't noticed in other locations. The majority of this review is about the staff. The most of the staff were rude, short, and not helpful. Not sure if they are going to a staff shortage but you can feel the intensity between staff members. I will say! this location does have staff that seem to overcompensate for the tension in the air. I felt the friendliness was genuine but for every one good exchange with their staff you experience three horrible ones. I won't be returning to this location. read more

I could give zero stars, I would pick that. Beware. Took items into the store for a price adjustment, and was told by the clerk "you've already returned these items." Impossible, as I have them in hand with receipts. Supervisor and manager were completely unhelpful, only stating "our system shows items have been returned" I am filing a formal complaint with corporate as this is corporate fraud. read more

Hands-down, the worst service ever! Items posted right underneath of 40% off sign were refused a discount. I've seen so many videos of people going to Hobby Lobby to buy some craft supplies. So when it opened up in Woodbury Minnesota I was excited . I really do like Hobby Lobby. It gives a huge selection of items and I love their paper selection . I haven't had a bad experience yet here except trying to stop by on a Sunday. What a let down . I would recommend to look for their sales because that seems to be the only time that their prices seems to be competitive . read more

I am an avid crafter and creator so I rely on Hobby Lobby for my crafting and decorating needs. This particular Hobby Lobby is just busy all the time. Lines are always long. It doesn't matter what season it is, lines are just ridiculously long. Other than that, I do love all the selections they have on the shelves. It's more stocked than other Hobby Lobby's I've been to. read more

My mom and I shop here a lot because she is a decorator. The store itself is okay. but mostly all the employees are super rude. As soon as you walk up to them, they look annoyed and don't even try to help or look into anything. They also respond very rudely and give short answers. Considering they are all white, maybe it is because of my race. I had to ask 3 employees for help to finally get an answer about the price of something. The employees all said "price as listed," although it had sign of 50% everywhere in the isle. After many employee eye rolls, the result was that they were on sale when I paid at the register. Even the cashier was claiming it wasn't on sale till she scanned the item. As a result, I now feel uncomfortable coming into the store. read more

9/22/22 cashier Susanna C. I cut my finger on a broken glass pumpkin I was admiring. When checking out the blood was dripping off my fingers and I asked for a tissue. The cashier and another worker gave me a weird look. I explained how I cut my finger and she said " oh we will have to take care of that". Didn't ask me to show her where it happened to remove the broken item or apologize. I felt like it was my fault I was injured in hobby lobby. OMG! Troy I don't know if he is the manager or shift supervisor, but what a jerk and an idiot. I went I. There this evening with my tax exempt form that I accidentally had spilled some water on, but could provide all the information needed. I live in Princeton, and have a shop in Bloomington, but decided to drive all the way here to get their baskets for work projects. I had been given an actual hobby lobby card for tax exempt, but had forgotten it at the shop. Okay, in all the other Hobby Lobby, whenever this happened they would still help me and not turn me away. I do a lot of traveling, so I appreciate their understanding when such incident would happen. This guy started off very aggressively, and said NO, that cannot be done. We need the actual card. So I told him I have my MN tax exempt form right here but might not be very legible. Again, I travel a lot and I have everything in my phone, so I told him I have all the information here in my phone but again, he was preaching me about it is legally required that they have the actual information for the IRS. He even said that I cannot fill out the handwritten, and that everything has to be typed up. What planet is this guy from? He told he that yeah, he knows how this works, and at this point I am already frustrated and boiling mad! I drove all the way here and this guy in charge is a plain idiot. He says he knows the rules, so I am the one not knowing freakin anything! Ahahahaha. I am the one that filled the freakin form out myself, and I have the option of writing it or typing in the info through using the PDF file. This is unacceptable to be treated without any respect. When I told him how far I had to drive, he has the nerves to say, sorry but that's what he needed. No compassion whatsoever. What kind of store is this? To be honest I had high hopes for Hobby Lobby considering there wasn't any in MN until this year. Its really just a out blown Michaels with the same items and a Joann fabrics all in one. The prices are based on everything being on sale all of the time and they are also closed on Sundays. Big Bummer. read more

This store is in the dark ages. Their point of sale system doesn't ring up sale prices...you have to remind the cashier to take off the discount. Also, they try to trick you with what's on sale and what isn't. The last straw for me was when I called them on the phone to see if they had 15 yards of a specific fabric. The clerk said to me, "I'll measure it when you're standing in front of me." How rude. They missed out on an $60 sale from me that day, and will miss out on hundreds if not thousands of dollars from me as I am a local seamstress. Extremely disappointing, horrible customer service. read more

I think hobby lobby is a good addition to the twin cities. Yes it is another craft store, but they also have furniture, great fabric, and the organization and cleanliness of the store surpasses the others. They also have many brands that are not found at the other box stores. I find that I spend an hour every time I go in the place, so plan accordingly. Finally you can also find a coupon on line at any time. (Only one per purchase). read more

great addition to the Twin Cities. I'm glad to have a place nearby where I can get some calligraphy inks and a bit of stained glass... Michael's and Joann don't have those items. The salespeople are helpful, but not as easy to find as they are at Joann if you need them. The clearance sales are very good. And a noteworthy improvement over the other craft stores: the wait to pay is much *much* shorter. I'm so glad I don't have to wait in another insanely long line just to pay for my stuff like I do at the other stores. read more

While I'm a frequent shopper at Hobby Lobby's, particularly at the Woodbury location I went with a friend to get iteams for cheer camp coming up soon! The firstlady at the back fabric counter was extremely kind, even though it wasn't her department. My friend and I were unsure how much we'd need so we went back to the counter after 15 minutes, while she seemed like she might have been having s bad day we just asked to get another yard of fabric and she sort of laughed at us. Then we noticed a mistake and came back again to the counter after searching for elastic and she straight up laughed at us and giggled in our face, to then give us a dirty look for not knowing what we were doing! This trip has been an awful experience, while we were trying to figure out what 16 girls would need for tutus! I hope the next time I come back, there will be better service! read more

I mentioned the theme I was aiming for with decorating my room, and she even had great suggestions for me. (I was looking for Beauty and the Beast, and she found me a Be Our Guest sign!!!) A couple of weeks ago my grandson and I came to the Woodbury Hobby Lobby needing to have a picture framed. Monique helped us. She was very professional but also very sensitive to our situation. My grandson has Autism and isn't always patient . She visited with him while she worked and made it a great experience. And, she did a wonderful job on the frame job.
