I stopped at the Maplewood Menards Garden Center and found a couple potted plants that I liked…read more There was a sale sign saying they were $10.99 for a 10-inch container but I only saw 2 of that size. I inquired if they had more and was told 'no'. I asked if they could tell me if other stores had them available, but they said they don't inventory seasonal garden plants. An associate suggested I try the Oakdale Menards so I drove over there. I located the items and brought 5 of them to the checkout. Unfortunately, they rang up at $14.99 each. I asked why they were not the same price as they were in Maplewood and the cashier called for a manager. The manager reiterated that the price was $14.99 so I asked if she could contact the Maplewood store and verify the difference. She walked away and started helping another customer. At that point, I called the Maplewood store myself. The man who answered, listened as I explained the situation and I told him exactly where the plants in question were located -- at the garden center entrance, sitting on a small stone wall in front of the water features. He put the phone down and was gone for what seemed like an eternity. (In hindsight, I think he may have hoped I would get tired of waiting and just hang up.) Finally, he returned and answered the phone like he had forgotten who I was and why I was holding. I refreshed his memory and then he told me that they didn't have any those plants, but if they did, they would be $14.99. I said I was just there 20 minutes ago and saw them! He told me that items in the garden center sell quickly and there was nothing he could do for me. So, I drove back to the Maplewood Menards and there sat the 2 plants in the same place I had described. However, the $10.99 sign had been removed! On my way into the store, I also noticed a rack of annuals in front of the main store entrance and saw 5 additional containers with the same plants that I wanted. SO, I WAS LIED TO!!! At the garden center I requested the cashier call a manager, preferably the man I previously spoke to on the phone. I was told that he was the store manager, but that another manager would come talk to me. Needless to say, I gave that manager a piece of my mind. If the $10.99 signage was incorrect, I would have appreciated an explanation -- maybe the sign was for a sale that was no longer in effect and accidentally not taken down. I would have understood that. I just resent the fact that Menards management took no responsibility and tried to cover up their mistakes. This is the worst kind of customer service -- untruthful and underhanded!!

She even directed me to their Instagram page so that I could know more about what was in stock and she was so friendly telling me all about the different selection that I had to choose from. Much much better in my opinion than spending my hard earned money on overpriced, jacked up items on reselling websites. Highly highly recommended and if you do call or go in, I would recommend asking for Lyra. She is lovely and will definitely help you with all your needs. Shopping at Patina has always been a cherished part of our outings. Sadly, that tradition came to an abrupt and upsetting end yesterday on Mother's Day. I share this as a warning to others: the Patina team appears more interested in targeting their customers than treating them with dignity or respect. On Mother's Day, the Roseville store manager, Trina, accused my 83-year-old mother of shoplifting-- claiming she saw her steal something several weeks earlier. My mother is one of the kindest, most honest people you could ever meet. She's a retired retail associate who spent over a decade at Herbergers and has never stolen a thing in her life. Trina offered zero proof-- no video, no photo, no name on file. Trina, along with an associate with a judging attitude, showed us one blurry image of a person standing at the counter, photographed from behind, who could've been anyone. Claiming this has some sort of proof. Trina also claimed a police report had been filed and that my mother spoke to police. She gave us a case number. When we contacted the Roseville Police Department, we were told no reports were filed in 2025. The case number Trina gave us referred to a 2024 incident involving a woman with the initials B. W. - not even close to my mother's name. This was a blatant attempt to justify a false accusation and make us go away. I followed up yesterdays incident by emailing the district manager, Karin Tappero, as directed by staff. I did not receive a response. Being wrongly accused and publicly embarrassed-- on Mother's Day, no less -- was incredibly hurtful. It completely overshadowed what was meant to be a joyful day. My mom and I were left shaken, humiliated, and heartbroken. After decades of loyalty, I can't express how degrading and disappointing this experience was. Patina used to be such a fun shop for us to go to together. We will never return to any of their stores and happy to bring our business elsewhere. In today's retail climate, it's astonishing that Patina has no problem alienating and falsely accusing longtime customers. Shoppers deserve better.

The prices on the other items in the store were all various types of sales. Some sales prices were great deals while others (especially Christmas projects) were still not even a deal at all yet. There are no employees available anywhere except at the front check out. There were two check out lanes open and three self checkout computers. One employee had to stand near the self checkout to call people over to use them. The employees, including the one who was currently ringing someone up, would be yelling out to the line ... "If you are paying by credit or debit, there are self checkout registers open." Because I wasn't using self- checkout, the woman finished my order without ever talking to me except when she yelled across, "I can help the next person." There was no further talking. My items were simply tossed in a bag. Somehow 2 of the 4 spools of thread that I wanted to purchase got lost before I bought them. The store was hot, busy, chaotic, with a meandering line instead of one that followed the path they prefer because there were not enough associates. I did find all the items I needed. However, all categories of merchandise were spread apart because there would be some in the aisle and some in the end caps. It was a frustrating and still productive trip. But know your prices before you go!

I came in 10-23-25 gave them the keys and went shopping when I came back to pick up the car he said the tires were more than six yrs old and he would not do it 10days over six yrs tires have 30000 miles on them. I was not told anything about six yrs when I got them. I have bought Fleet farm tires for 30yrs never again I will buy them from somebody that does not have rotating staff that knows something.

They cut glass, make keys, mix paint and do all those little things that can speed a homeowner through his chores. Are they the biggest? no. But they are here when I need them and open plenty of hours. They are the only place in town I could find a waterbed drain kit. Why didn't I look here first?
