I've been in this store, but went today and it's Sunday and come to find out they were closed. The time we did go in the service was great. Greeted us right at the door and asked us if they could help us finding anything. We were looking for wreaths and they pointed us in the right. They had a great selection of wreaths as that's what we were looking for. All of them were beautiful, but overpriced, even on sale. I decided on getting one that was 1/2 off of $80. So I spent $40. Still a little overpriced. But the wreath is beautiful. Beautiful store and very easy to find stuff. Just remember they're closed on Sundays. read more

The manager and 4 other employees were standing around while we waited to check out. The only line open was the Refund line which we patiently stood in for 10 minutes due to a needy customer. When we saw one employee moving to another register, we stepped out of line to follow her. She ended up not opening up the register and the manager approached us to which we replied, could we pay for the items? He silently pointed to the Refund line. Other people had already stepped in front of us to pay, which made it even a longer line. The appropriate thing for the manager to do was to say sure I will take you here at another register. After we left, we realized the line was 10 deep and then he decided to open up another register . Work on serving customers FIRST rather than paying workers to stand around. Also smile at your customers rather than staring at us like we're thieves. read more

I had a deeply upsetting experience at Hobby Lobby. While walking around with my furry tail, I was subjected to offensive and hurtful slurs by some individuals at the store. It was not only an uncomfortable encounter, but it also highlighted a complete lack of respect for diversity and personal expression. This store is huge! It's got a ton of selections too. This is a great place for both gift shopping and crafting projects. I've found a ton of fun stuff here. They've got a great yarn selection, it's big and different brands than most stores around this area carry. I love it. They also carry a wide range of crafting projects. I know a couple photographers who love this store for props. I've also found great gifts in here too. I bought a gorgeous rainbow glass rooster, cute candles in Mason jars, which are great in gift bags. They have a lot of home decor items and stuff that would make for fun home decor projects. The employees are pretty friendly. I asked the cashier to wrap the glass items really well and she was more than happy to do so, and double bagged it as well. Their prices are really cheap! Far cheaper than most craft stores. I'm always amazed at how little I spend and how much I bring home every time I go in here. It's a very good value. My husband hates coming in here because of political reasons, and always looks around to see if anyone he knows is around to notice him in here. Lol. But even he will admit it's a store with a lot of cool stuff. In fact, he's the one who found the rooster for me. He just doesn't like admitting he's there. So after trying to ask for a change for a dollar even though I was a paying customer paying with a credit card they still denied me change and I even spoke to the manager and they still denied me change this is a very very crappy way of running a business. My guy, and I love this store. We both always find some sort of home decor we like. For him he can find things for a man cave, or even decorating the patio. For me, I can find craft supplies, and home decor. They have a really large selection. You can spend so much time in here, and truly get lost in just browsing alone. The customer service has always been really great, and helpful. We brought in a poster we wanted framed for someone's Birthday, they were great at helping chose the frame, and getting it done. They also made sure to help pick out a frame that was with in a reasonable budget, before choosing the more expensive frames. My only complaint would be is, they are not open on Sundays. But hey, gotta respect that. It is the Lords day. I try to stay away from here as much as I can, otherwise I would be spending so much moola here. I stop here for gifts as well. I shopped here for house warming gifts when my middle Son bought his first home two years ago. I bought him pics for his garage, and for inside of his home. Having heard so much about the evils of this place (I'm from Eugene, home to every Bored White Savior of Everything), I thought I'd see it for myself. I liked it. It struck me as "TJ Maxx meets fabrics & crafts", though with a notable overabundance of plastic flowers. Not sure what the deal was with that, but you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a faux carnation. Lots & lots of fairly interesting trinkets, including huge name-in-lights alphabet letters, decorative mangoes & cheese - now *that's* white - and my personal favorite: the shiny pillows. YOU MUST FONDLE THE SHINY PILLOWS. As for the apparent Christian nature of the chain, it didn't jump out at me in terms of merchandise apart from a selection of surprisingly beautiful crosses (relax, I'm a confirmed agnostic, and I'm not going to shit on someone's parade just to look "cool" for grouches). So why the less-than-perfect rating? Because the people there appear to be assholes. I expect little in the way of humanity from the ill-paid among us, but my one interaction was with an older woman who was openly glaring at me for asking a question... in precisely the same "get thee behind me" manner I received almost everywhere during my travels in Red States. (In case you missed the hint/reference, I'm saying that she was a bitch masquerading as an acolyte of Jesus) But apart from this stupidly contrary-to-Christianity-AND-capitalism attitude, it was a fine experience there. In fact, you'd probably have a hard time getting *any* of the employees to even acknowledge you at all, so no need to worry about forcible conversions or anything... ;) read more

I bought an item for $9.99 and at the time of purchase the manager (?) was paged because the item didn't have a price sticker on it. So the manager looked at the item and went to find out it's price while I was waiting at the check out register with the clerk. She came back and announced it was $9.99, I payed, and was on my way. Fast forward a few weeks later. I decide to return that item ( without a price sticker) but I had my itemized receipt, so I figured it would be no problem. Wrong! I presented the item WITH the itemized receipt to the clerk and they said they could only give me $5.99 for the item I paid $9.99 for, despite the receipt being the proof of purchase. Long story short, I argued and insisted it was sold to me without the price tag sticker and finally the manager agreed to go review the "video footage" from that day. It turned out that the manager was the one who had initially sold it to me. So 35 min later I get my 9.99 refund. This store has a great selection however that is not worth the time and energy that was invested to get my item returned. The customer service I experienced today was extremely poor and their policies are archaic. They have lost another customer. read more

I've had a couple negative experiences but nothing worth crying on the internet about. 99% of my experiences at this place is great. I didn't see any confederate flag stuff which makes me believe that John guy who wrote a negative review is just trying to be a part of the woke crowd but just came across as ignorant. Oh well. We went in today to grab a few items and noticed that the easels were on sale. We wanted the one that was 29.99$ and searched for that item. Found it and they were all marked 39.99$. We were confused and found a worker who was dressed up as a cow to ask about it(it was on Halloween).aid basically that they must of changed prices and the sign isnt changed. Then when we told her it was misleading and wrong to put one sign saying one price and it be 10 dollars more. She didn't make an effort to change the sign and was just rude. We also told the cashier upfront and she said "someone should change the sign". I feel like I should of gotten it for the advertised price because that's misleading. We did not argue with the cashier, but I am disappointed in the workers not really acknowledging the error and just pushing it onto someone else. This was my first experience with Hobby Lobby, and I am very disappointed. Yesterday I purchased $135 in stained glass supplies. As this is a new hobby for me, I carefully checked that I had everything necessary to complete a project. When I got home, I unpacked and started working. At the point of needing the flux to apply before soldering, I couldn't find the bottle I had purchased. I looked at my receipt (which is not itemized) and it said I had purchased 16 items, but I only had 15 items in my possession. I called the store and was told to call back in the morning, as they had closed 11 minutes before. Today I brought my receipt to the store and asked them if anything had been left at the register. I also wanted them to look at the receipt and confirm that I had paid for it. They couldn't do that because, "their system is 'old school' and each item is hand keyed so there's no record of what I actually purchased." WHAT?!?! I was then told that the manager could go in back to review the security video. I said that if that's what the manager wants to do with their day, fine. I waited. And thought. And came to the logical conclusion that there was no way I could trust the manager if she came out and told me that I had left the store with the product. Which is exactly what she said. I spent $135 and was looking for a $7 or $8 product. If I hadn't already unpackaged most of what I bought yesterday, I'd bring it all back. I wasn't looking for anything for free. I'm not cheap or a cheat. They just lost a customer forever over one little thing. Poor management, poor tech systems, poor business sense. read more

This is a great store w great sales and wonderful home decor but I was disappointed today. I grabbed a fragrance burner and oil off this rack pictured below...sign clearly says 50% off. I asked the front end supervisor for assistance who quickly told me she couldnt leave her area. Well lucky for her the endstand was right there. She quickly pointed to the little letters that said "your price" items excluded. So I said how am I supposed to know what items that includes? She then points to this one inch sticker on the bottom of the box! These items are all mixed in. Apparently the boxes w different colors are not included in the sale. Spoke to the store manager who was awesome. He listened to my concerns and gave me the discount...corporate signing issues. He was very kind and understanding. Be sure to carefully read the signs! My daughter bought me a frame from here to go with the picture she drew me for Christmas. I decided that a bigger, matted frame, would make the picture stand out more on my wall. I have no receipt, but the sticker on it says Hobby Lobby and $19.99. I found a frame that I liked for $39.99 and went to the register. They only wanted to give me $10 back for the one I returned and wouldn't honor the "50% off picture frames" sign that I tore off and took back up to the desk - said that what I had was a "wall frame," not a, "picture frame." It's like they are practically PUSHING me/people to shop online - Amazon is A LOT less hassle, better customer service, and I end up with what I want and NOT pissed off that I've been made to look and feel like a moron in front of all of the other employees and customers, not to mention the HUGE waste of gas, time, and money... read more

Woah! Hobby Lobby exceeded my expectations and I walked out happy with my purchases. I came in because I had some prints that I had been putting off hanging up in my house and finally bit the bullet. I was blown away about how many frame options they had but also that they were all 50% off! I got two frames for a total of $5.97. What!? They aren't the highest of quality but I they are perfect for what I was looking for. I decided to browse around before leaving and saw that they have so many different types of decorations, craft supplies, synthetic flowers, baskets, glassware and more! I really want to dive deeper to see the other things they have throughout the store. I did see some furniture and holiday decorations as well. The prices are great; especially if you are into arts and crafts. A lot of stuff is cheaper than some other crafts stores in the area. Pearler beads are cheaper here than Ben Franklin that's pretty much on the other side of the parking lot. I like the fact that they have supplies for wood crafters such as plain wooden boards that you can prrsonalize with the right tools. As far as yarn and cloth; the selection is not that great. One thing that I absoluyely dislike is that it's closed on sunday. read more

I am a crafter of many different crafts. There are lots of beads and charms for a doll jewelry maker like myself. I always hunt for the cheap clearance sticker priced items to get great deals. I recently found a 12in×12in 60 sheet cardstock paper pad for $5.00 in pretty bright patterns. l also found four fabric multi print quarter rolls for $1.25 each, which I can use to make doll purses or clothing. The selection of small beads and seed beads is perfect for my doll jewelry making. Always a fun place to browse. read more

Went to buy a gift card for a crafter thought hobby lobby would be interesting since I hear so much hype about it. My magnetic strip not working but have a chip so no worries I thought. Nope! They do not have a chip reader? So I asked if they could key in the number was told by cashier no. Management came and said same thing. No reasons no decent customer service and no faith in a single employee there due to lack of a single smile on any face. I hate people who get mad at sales people for company policies, but the complete lack of care to explain or be even remotely thoughtful towards me the customer not only by the cashier but the management had me storming off and not nice about it. Went to Michael's successfully purchased a gift card with my chip. When I gave the gift and explained the hobby lobby story the recipient stated she hates hobby lobby and prefers Michael's because of several instances of not only bad costumer service but also bad management experiences. Hobby lobby my tip to you is to fire who you have managing the Springfield store they are poor and it reflects in every employee. Don't blame the employees for poor management. You know - I gave it a try. There is so much going on beneath the surface from the design of the store to the corporate religious creepiness. Very disappointed that Ben Franklin closed BECAUSE of yet another Walmart wanna-be. At Ben Franklin I received personal service (for years), always a friendly person to help with knowledge of everything in the store or specialized knowledge. You'd have to get a blow horn to get help in this behemoth of a store. And I don't think it's any accident there are NO signs in any dept or any aisle whatsoever. Seriously? About a billion items for sale, and not one sign to get you to where you need to go, so you wander aimlessly looking at everything. Last time I went, I ditched my goods and left I was so annoyed at how long it was taking to get through the store and the fact that I couldn't find what I needed. Other thing is most things are perpetually on sale, read: nothing is really on sale. It's kind of like those stores that are always going out of business and everything is 70% off, but they just hike up the price and then pretend it's 70% off. I don't think it's cheap at all. Most of it is incredibly cheap crap made in China, bought in bulk, sold high. I would go anywhere or shop online before I go here again. And what's with all the fluorescent lights.
