I dont shop here often but decided to have them frame a photograph of our wedding for my wife's birthday. I ordered the framing last Wednesday and was called the following Monday and told the matting was out of stock. Wasn't able to pick out something similar over the phone so I have to drive down there..inconvenient but not the end of the world Then I was told that the custom framing orders go out Mondays, cutoff is noon...he called me at 1:15 to tell me this. so that pushes my two week order out another week. He was nice about it but blamed it on their policy of checking out of stock items at the end of the week...there was still time to call me before cutoff time Monday. Called the manager but he wasnt willing to make right of the situation and just repeated their policy..the combination of those things had me pull my photo just on principle..I feel I at least should have been called before the order cutoff to give me time to pick an in-stock mat, or compensated me with a rush order...Very frustrating experience read more

SIlly me... I thought this was a HOBBY Store. They say they have slot cars, trains and miniature landscaping items but it turns out it's a big box full of crafting chachkies, and decor. Hobby selection was pitiful. Slot cars only a couple of the small sets from Carrera , no other brands and none of the larger cars. I asked to speak with some one in the slot cars dept, and after 5 minutes on hold the guy I spoke to confirmed that was all they had and that they cannot order anything they don't have a hole on the shelf for. Zero expertise, his only suggestion was that I go to Hobby town, which is not much better, unless you are looking for RC. Give the size and name of this place, I expected more than just another Michaels. read more

I purchased a welcome statue of a black lab holding a bone in his mouth with the welcome sign hanging from his mouth from the Temecula location while I was visiting a friend. This store is HUGE by the way. Well I drove home to San Diego and when I came to take it out of the bag I noticed one of the paws were shattered! I have no idea how it happened; it wasn't packaged up very well but also it was transferred from one car to another so it could have happened anytime. Well I call my local store in grossmont and they were being super annoying about returning this time and told me to take it back to the store that I purchased it from! So I called Temecula and spoke to Renee and she was a saint! I really wasnt expecting a refund or possible exchange since grossmont was being a jerk and when I explained my situation to Renee she was so sweet about it and offered the return or exchange! if I could give her more stars I would. She was kind and understanding. This is what a manager needs to be at all times! I plan on driving back next weekend for the return and will drive an hour to Temecula than 20 mins to grossmont for better customer service anytime! Thanks Renee. You were extremely helpful. This was my first visit to a Hobby Lobby and I understand why Temeculans were so excited for the opening of this craft store. It also has art supplies and small decor items. It is very large, well-lighted, and clean. I appreciate that it is adequately staffed. Some of the other local craft stores don't have enough registers open and one can waste a lot of time standing in long lines. Not the case in Hobby Lobby. I walked right up to a register on a Saturday afternoon. I'll be back! read more

OMG!!!!!! I walked in and at first I was overwhelmed and then extremely excited. The store is huge. It is a cross between a really great Michaels and Home Goods. This store has everything. I went crazy on the home decor items and them fell in love with all the scrap book stuff. Hobby Lobby has great sales and prices. This place is awesome! It's one of those places where you walk in only needing one or two things and you walk out with a ton of stuff wondering what the heck happened. I visited the Temecula store a few days after Christmas. I visited the framing department because I was finally getting around to having my mom and dads portraits framed. My mom passed away 4 years ago and I lost my dad in March this year. This holiday season was truly special and heartfelt for myself and for my family. Luis in the framing department assisted me. He was professional, friendly and was very patient. At one point, as I looked at the loving faces of my parents, I began to cry. The tears just welled up and I couldn't stop them. Luis stopped what he was doing to acknowledge my sadness, showing me kindness, empathy and that he cared about me. He told me that it was an honor to take care of my family photos and that he would give them the dignity and honor that they deserved. I left from that interaction, feeling blessed because of my interaction with Luis. He made my day! He is truly the "frame-whisperer!" read more

I have to say, after moving here from another city, this is the worst customer service of any Hobby Lobby I've ever been in. Today, not a single employee was smiling, kind or even bother to greet me. The cashier was abrupt, cold, unsmiling, unwelcoming; and all right in front of the lady manager. Some items are pricey but sales are awesome and often this store has a better selection than other hobby/home decor stores. I have never had a problem with Hobby Lobby; in fact, I have always had good experiences. Today the employees seemed a little off and bothered (not as friendly as normal) so that's my only downside. But nothing can dock a star. The amount of crafts they have is awesome yet they have a decent amount of decorations that don't require any added work! Best craft store around! My favorite store on earth. Just wish I felt that way about there employes. They are rude and not friendly at all. I felt very put down while I was exchanges something and had to turn around and come back when she forgot to put my 40% coupon on my other items that I showed her in the begging. I'm sorry but if I buy a adhesive wall sticker, and I take it out of the box an has a bunch of kinks in it I'm probably going to want to take it back. It's kind of like Michaels, if Michaels took steroids and decided to expand their stock. Hobby Lobby is THE place to go for your arts and crafts needs, but they don't stop there. They have all the wall fixtures you can cram into your house, neat furniture that I haven't seen anywhere else, and just about anything else you could possible want for your home or hobbies. They always have some sort of sale going on, and if you're not happy with the price tag on something, you can pretty much guarantee that its price is going to be reduced within the week. My favorite place, I go for hours! It is like the Home Depot of Craft Stores. Sort of like Jo Ann's meets Michaels meets Home Goods. They have the best selection of silk, dried, and rustic florals to choose from. They also have lots of branches, rustic pots, and artificial fruit & food. I love me a piece of fake cheese for staging photos. The scrapbook and designer paper section is great! They carry all the top desigers & lines from Tim Holts to Spare Parts to Shabby Abbey! I love there selection of cast iron numbers and letters. They have a whole isle of chip board from letters to boxes and shapes. They also have great party supplies too!
