If Ii could give this location to stars I would !! Every time I come to this location all the employees are super happy and helpful and I frequent this one a lot . The last time I was here , I had ordered a umbrella online and the order was canceled due to the item being out of stock but I never received a notice telling me, but I never got one saying it was ready. I decided to call the store to see how it was doing , and the store manager Victor informed me it was canceled . I told him I hadn't received the cancellation notice . He then kindly looked to see if they had any and stock and he said someone had returned one , if i wanted to come get it. He went out of his way to do that for me and search for one . I got to the store and I wanted to make sure that it wasn't returned for a specific reason , he offered to open it and that we could check together. Truth be told I'm blinder than a bat so I saw nothing with it . Then he said " wait it's ripped " and it totally was . I thank him for his honesty , and again he went out of his way to search for me if they had it at another location, they did but unfortunately really far away. Today I visited the store again and again the vibes are always so right in there with the employees !!! But I called before going again because it was the same item and I wanted to make sure it didn't cancel . This time Nick answered and was the nicest person ever and super informative ! I can not say one bad thing about this store cause they go above and beyond for customers !! Great job ! read more

Thursday, June 19, 2025: I hadn't been here in years. I accompanied my daughter, son, and grandson here after they treated me to lunch. It's spacious, clean, bright, and organized. I took advantage of their 55% off sale on Cadbury chocolate products and bought some snacks. I purchased a candle & sparkling water from Italy. I'm astonished they have such a variety of foodstuffs from around the world. It was fun to pore over all the displays. They have a nice display of furniture but very pricey. It was fun shopping here except I found on my receipt I was charged for an extra item and was not given the 55% off sale on a Cadbury product, which was clearly marked. I highly recommend you spot check your receipt carefully before leaving the store. I'm toying with the idea of returning to bring this up to them. What an inconvenience! read more

I came in to find my Rose water tea bags, and apparently, they no longer carry it. I am very sad about it. The store is still very clean, but the idols in here were very overwhelming. I was not greeted upon entrance, nor was I asked if I needed help at any time whilst in the store. I am not a fan of this location! I doubt that I would ever come back again. read more

UPDATE: I visited this location today 10/8/21 and brought the container of the pasta sauce with the lid that had the nastiness growing underneath. I showed the associate, I didn't get his name, and he spoke to I assume his supervisor Charlotte. She let him know they I could get a new one but I didn't want a new one in case it had the same thing growing on it again and I didn't want to chance getting sick from it obviously so I asked for store credit since I shop here often anyway and she happily obliged and thanked me for letting them know. Big fan of World Market and I never need a valid reason to go into this store. From the lovely boho clothing, furniture, home decor, various world foods, snacks and even wine! I love the vibes and variety and this is what keeps me returning. The store is colorful and inviting with a vast array of products competing for your attention. I love it even though when I visited today I noticed that my husband's favorite flavored syrup which I previously paid $5 for is now priced at $9. I still bought it but paid closer attention to prices and selections. I will probably be back in a few months to check out new items. read more

Came here last month to pick up some dining table chairs I ordered online and had them delivered to them a location. The store itself is smaller than some in San Diego but still nicely stocked. The staff were very nice and accommodating and came to welcome me as soon as I entered. After I told them it was for a pickup they had me circle around back to get my chairs two at a time because I bought 6 and couldn't fit them all in my car so had to make return trips 3 times that day and they were very nice the whole time. I'll definitely be back when I need to add a any pieces to our home. read more

I enjoy and respect shopping at Cost Plus world market. It's a great go to for personal needs or to find unique and international gifts. Also, look out for coupons on sale. We came here last Saturday, oct 31st around 2:30pm. My girlfriend and I explored the food section, home decor, the clothes and Jewelry. Glad that I was disciplined., thou had some questions about certain items when i got to the cashier. Also, we inquired about An online coupon for healthcare workers and the cashier unfortunately didn't honor it. We had to order online. Issues of my interaction with cashier: 1. She was talking with a fellow co-worker so we had to wait after their conversation; 2. We inquired about coupon and they were both not friendly; 3. There was no customer service, I asked about a top I wanted to buy and she said that's all we have. Instead of her inquiring or going the extra mile to say, let me check other stores... I LOVE this place. I could live here. Lol. They have the coolest items & hard to find food items. My favorites being a boxed mix of Cafe Du Monde beignets & unique candies from all over the world. They have adorable furniture & cute little decorations for your home. I enjoy coming by their unique soaps & fragrance oils. I don't know how often they do this, but they once had a little scavenger hunt in the store that you fill out in the store. The kids really enjoy it. On Saturday, I visited a Whole Market (WM) store in Temecula. A 18-20 year old white male (store associate) was stocking items in a coffee aisle. I kindly asked him where I could locate the Two Wise Coffee-a free offer for WM members. He responded, "I don't know." I responded, "Is there anyone who can assist me?" He didn't look up at me and curtly remarked, "You can ask a manager." I witnessed people of the store associate's same race approach him. The WM associate willingly assisted them and seemed to adequately address their shopping needs. Over the past ten years, I've shopped in many U.S. World Market stores and never experienced such racism and rudeness. World Market and the WM Temecula Store should hire people who are willing to assist persons of all races and nationalities. Clearly, he did not want to assist a person of color. At the very least, provide this young man with customer service skills. Sadly, he clearly doesn't have the fundamentals of basic etiquette. read more

Unrelated to shopping, I asked a male employee if he could come outside with me while I sold a camera to a man I did not know because I was by myself and new to the area. And asked to meet at world market because I knew the store since I shop there regularly and felt most comfortable there. He had to ask his manager and they said no. Pretty shitty that they didn't care for the safety of their customers or basic human safety near their store. read more

One of my favorite stores. This location is no different. I often peruse through the selections at the San Diego locations however, I feel like I find better deals at this Temecula location (but it could just be coincidental). I only wish the staff were a little more accessible. I find it hard to find staff for a question when I come so I have to dock one star. The cashier can't leave the register so I often have to wait for one to be called or I just can't find one. But the selection is great; whether you're looking for kitchenware, furniture, fashion jewelry, gifts, etc. It's just a great place to shop. If you've never been to any of their stores, it's kind of like shopping at a huge Pier One Imports. This is the second item that I have ordered and has not been delivered. I have sent several emails to customer service regarding status and have yet to receive a valid response as to where my item is. The item initially showed being delivered on 4/28/20 and when it did not arrive I checked the tracking again which now shows pending since 4/21/20. When you call their customer service phone number you either get a busy signal or an automated response stating "this number cannot be reached at this time." Very poor service! THE GENERAL MANAGER DISCRIMMINATES!!! My daughter went into the store today to seek employment because she has worked for another World Market and absolutely loved it. She asked to speak to the general manager. She was polite and kind and responded respectfully. He on the other hand, was condescending, rude, and treated her horribly. If he was not hiring, he could have just said we are not hiring instead he used his authority to degrade her, belittle her, and make her feel like she was stupid. He asked her for her availability and she told him she was available 4 days a week and all day Saturday, but not on Sunday because of religious reasons. Dear Madam or Sir I am experiencing some of the worst customer service through your Santa Cruz and Temecula stores that I have ever had. On the 28th of September I drove three and a half hours to Santa Cruz to pick up a Rainer futon I had placed on hold with the store manager, John. Once I arrived on Sunday afternoon the store staff informed me it had been sold. Not only had John assured me the futon would be available, but upon arrival Jeremy and Allison- the on duty managers, were rude and unfriendly and had absolutely no consideration for my drive time. After calling the Santa Cruz store the following Tuesday, John assured me he would have the futon shipped to my store in San Luis Obispo from the Temecula store- where one was located. The last time I received an update from John was the 12th of October so I called the Temecula store myself. I spoke with the most helpful person so far, her name was Summer. She had her store manager Kristen follow up with me. Kristen left me a message on Wednesday the 15th of October saying FedEx would ship my futon the following day. After no follow up call- I called Kristen back this morning to find that the shipping was not approved by the district manager. John confirmed this when I finally reached him this morning as well. At this point it is the 20th of October, nearly a month after I drove to Santa Cruz and Wold Market is still failing to follow through on both ends. Please make this right. read more

Since my past reviews have blathered on about beer, a subject near and dear to my heart, this time I wanted to say that I really like their food and candy section....A LOT!! They sell this brand of Indian simmer sauces that for me beat most others that come in a jar at the grocery stores: "Tiger Tiger" is the brand and Cost plus sells 4 of their sauces and all are delicious. Butter Chicken, Korma, Tikka Masala and Thai Red Curry are sauces we use when we are too lazy to make scratch meals or we lack the time or ingredients but are drooling for some Indian or Thai inspired flavors. The sauces are versatile, too. We regularly substitute pork for chicken with any of the sauces and it works. So depending on what in the fridge we know the sauce will taste good with chicken, pork or even beef. Other things I love are Panda black licorice, World Market brand chocolate, Wasa bread, imported Italian coffees, Knorr Aromat seasoning (you'll never use plain salt in savory dishes after you try this stuff!) but it's just enjoyable to wander every food aisle with a basket on your arm and grab things that sound good. Most of the time they are and I stick with things that I can't find at the supermarkets. read more
