Sure hope someone can help fix this issue. I was in today and bought an aero scout that was labeled $199.99, caught up in the holiday buzz I wasn't paying too much attention at checkout. But I got home and see they charged me $269.99. I was excited to find this shop for my dad and son, but now I'm not so sure how honest they are. I am not a "hobby" person- I don't build airplanes, I don't race RC cars, I don't drive go-carts. However, my dad, who flies model airplanes, found this place when he was visiting us. He took my boys here, and we've been hooked ever since. We don't come to buy or even browse; we come to drive RC cars! For $10, you can rent their cars and head to the back of the store, where there is a huge track. My kids race and race until the batteries run out...and then sometimes the store lets us use a replacement battery without charging us, so they race some more. It is super fun, and it saves me from having to buy them their own RC cars!! They also offer punch cards so your 11th visit is free. read more

This place is lacking in customer service. Went into store at about 5:10pm. There were 2 sales people. The young man was helping a gentleman and the girl clerk was on the floor behind a display case. I asked if she could help me and she looked at me funny and said I'm on the phone. I waited for a while and then she answered another call and proceeded to help them. I finally walked out of the store and no one seemed to care in the least. Doubt I will go back. This day in age with all of the online ordering out there you would think brick and mortar stores would care more about their customers. read more

Avoid this place at all cost. I try very hard to support local businesses, especially the specialty hobby market. However, I would rather pay shipping then drive 10 minutes to get to this store. Staff (if you can call them that) are typically rude, the one younger girl walked right past me to go to the back room without even acknowledging my existence, even after looking at the parts wall for a good 10 minutes. The other staff member continued his very obviously personal phone call even after I was standing at the counter. When I was acknowledged, he seemed confused when I was asking about the availability of a simple common rc plane component. After explaining what it was, he stared into the computer monitor, obviously looking for some kind of answer. The only response I got was, "Well I could have it here in a day or so." Glad to see they employ such informed staff. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but beings as this was my third and final attempt to pick up something locally, and being met with almost the same response on every occasion, I think I will avoid another attempt and suck up the shipping fees to order thru someone else. read more

This is the first review I ever did because they are that GOOD! We purchased a race track that broke by no fault of Hobby Sport. When I called, Shawn immediately answered the phone (no machine, no prompting). He was very knowledgeable of the products they offer and suggested another race track that would better fit our needs. I actually spoke a few times with Shawn because I live in Puerto Rico and shipping can be complicated. Each conversation he was very polite and patient. The new set arrived quickly and in excellent condition. In the future, I will save time and go directly to Hobby Sport to purchase any such items.
