I had a specific vision for my day and they were able to design everything I expected in my mind. AnnMarie and her associates went above and beyond for me. My first Yelp review -ever- and Hockridge is certainly worthy of it, since I found them from the positive reviews on this site. I wanted a special arrangement for my cousin's memorial in Loma Linda. He was an avid deep-sea fisherman, and I asked if they could possibly make a floral bluefin tuna. I spoke to Lisa on the phone, who took the time to find a picture of a bluefin and consult with their floral designer before quoting me a reasonable price and giving me assurances that they would do a wonderful job (even though this tuna would be ther first!) The tuna was amazing! It was a 5 foot whopper, beautifully shaped, with true-to-life colors, and complete with fins. We were all impressed and so happy that Hockridge did such a wonderful, professional, and artistic job. My thanks to all at Hockridge - with special thanks to Lisa, who was so helpful and sincere on the phone, and Jo, who I'm told is the designer and main builder of the masterpiece. Worked with the owner, Ann(e?), to arrange flower delivery for my wife. My wife was turning 30 and I explained that I wanted 3 dozen roses for such a special day. I had originally asked for white roses since my wife had recently planted many bushes around our house. In response, Ann asked me to describe my wife and (here is the really cool part) if she found something really special at the flower market could she change the color on the fly. I told her that she is the expert and I would lean on her deicsion making. Great call there because everybody (especially my wife) loved the flower arrangement. I have used Hockridge a few times in the past and never had a problem. Valentines day I ordered a dozen roses for my wife and two for my daughter. The flowers did not arrive until sometime after 6:30pm, we did not know because we had already left for dinner. The bouquet was one rose short for a total of eleven with one rose cut off and stuffed into the arrangement. I called to ask for a refund and still have not heard from them. read more

Came in; sorta last minute. The day of my significant others birthday to purchase some flowers for them. The young lady at the counter, so kindly, helped me decide on what to get. I had no idea or even where to begin on what to choose. I was helped quickly and pleasantly. They arranged and made the bouquet in a matter of minutes; around 20, to be exact maybe even less. Price did range to properly fit the accustomed arrangement of the flowers. This has easily become my go to flower shop from here on out. The receiver of the flowers loved them. If you are celebrating a special occasion, like your 50th wedding anniversary, and you want to be treated special, this is the florist to go to. My husband wanted to surprise me with a floral arrangement to match a lamp he had purchased for me. He took in a 50 old Orrefors vase that had been a wedding gift and asked if they could do an arrangement that would compliment the lamp. They did a wonderful job, went out of their way to find some hard to find flowers to match the hand painting on the lamp. I have gone here since they were on citrus and I have to say over the last few years the quality has declined. My last half dozen arrangements have not been what I ask for and definitely not close to what we have paid ($100-150). I always see the arrangements they send because they are sent to family or close friends. The last time I called because it was outrageously different then the photos I showed them and description of what I wanted so they picked up the arrangement and redid it and brought it back. I sent them pictures again of the arrangements that I liked and wanted it to resemble and the arrangements I had picked were actually less expensive then I was spending and it still didn't look like what we wanted. I am disappointed because this has always been my go to place for flowers and looks like I'll have to find somewhere new. I had a very negative experience at Hockridge this Valentines day. The manager took my order the day prior to Valentines and said they could be delivered to my wifes work prior to the end of business. This was also my wifes 50th B-day. Needless to say, the delivery didn't happen until the following day. I talked to the manager and she of course apologized and offered to refund my money. After two weeks and no refund, I called and left messages and emails with no response. I realize that problems occur in any business, but the lack of follow up and customer service is not good at all. I will certainly recommend and use other flower shops in the future. read more

AMAZING people and flowers! When I went in to get my first " estimate" for our wedding in 2013 I was treated with such kindness and exemplary customer service that I committed on the spot. The flowers were EXACTLY what I had envisioned and then some. Perfect and very reasonably priced. Since then, my husband often brings me flowers at work always from Hockridge. The staff remembers us and treats us like friends. Friday I went in to order flowers for my nieces memorial service the next day. They were so kind and compassionate as we gave memories and talked about what we wanted to say with the arrangement. When it was delivered to the church I knew it was ours. It was exquisite. Perfectly conveying a mountain meadow with uniquely lovely accents. They even thoughtfully centered the arrangement with a gorgeous keepsake piece for my sister in law. My wedding was in June (2014). When I first went into Hockridge everything was great! Jo have me an awesome vision for my arrangements and bouquets. Well, the week before the weeding I went in to pay my balance, and confirm everything was still a go. I was then told (I believe only bc I went in the shop) that Jo was on medical leave and would not be doing my wedding arrangements. At that point ann wanted to "finalize" my order. (Shouldn't that already be done?) there was a discrepancy in the final price, but it was their mistake so I didn't have to pay the difference. So we confirmed that my MOH would pick up the bouquets and boutonnières and that my center pieces would be delivered at 330pm the day of my wedding. So, the day of my MOH picks up the flowers and CONFIRMS the rest will be delivered. (The venue is one block from the shop) at 530pm when I'm getting ready to walk down the isle, there are NO CENTER PIECES ON THE TABLES. And the arch piece is not hung, because they weren't delivered. So, at 600pm I'm told that Hockridge is closed and no one can get a hold of them. Good thing I had Anns personal cell #. That is the only reason I got my flowers delivered at 7pm. I was furious. So my husband goes in explains what happens, ann checks the invoice to make sure that's what we had agreed upon, and offers $100 refund!!! We ended up getting $200 because that's what my husband told her was the lowest we would accept. And she had the nerve to tell him to tell me "I'm sorry that this happened, I hope we can help you again, but please let her know that this is a $300 loss for me." I probably would never use them again. They don't return phone calls, even when you repeatedly go in! And I should have been notified Jo would not be the designer for my flowers. read more

She barely made it on time to decorate before the wedding as agreed upon in our contract. She refused to return our call when we asked for a minor refund.
