The beef shawarma plate was completely disappointing. My partner ended up getting it with the mango rice. The beef was dry and mango rice didn't even have a hint of mango at all. Staff: they were attentive and they checked on us a few times. Food: We got a few things to share: 1. Sambousek $12.95. The stuff pastries had a variety of mixed meat inside. It was really nice and good size as an appetizer. It was flavorful but not too salty. 2. Lamb hummus $15.95. The hummus was more subtle in flavor which was fine because the lamb meat on top were salty and it went well with the pita bread. 3. Lamb pizza $17.95. We had lunch here for the first time. The restaurant was half full. There was only one waitress. It took 3 visit to our table to complete taking our order since she had to run off and wait on pick up orders or kitchen orders. Lamb was good but didn't have a char on it. It was pale in color. This place is amazing! The decor is so beautiful and welcoming, I loved seeing all the draperies and just how clean everything was. The food is incredible, I think this may be my new favorite food place so far. Their chicken wrap was so perfectly seasoned and cooked that I didn't feel the need for any extra sauces or additions to make it taste great (which is a total shock for me, I love adding more sauce!). I met up with friends for lunch, and it was a wonderful experience! We were seated in a booth that was in a Mediterranean decor. The staff was very attentive and answered any questions we had. I started with iced mint tea as a beverage and received a refill when my glass was empty. My friend and I got lentil soup to start, and it was really flavorful. She really loved it as well. I got the Mezza plate sampler, which is vegetarian, vegan. Order consisted of hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouli salad, grape leaves and falafel topped with tahini sauce. Served with fresh baked flatbread. I shared my platter with a vegetarian friend, and he seemed to enjoy it. He also ordered a falafel wrap, I had a taste of that and it was pretty good! After we finished with lunch, we got hot tea for 4, which came with biscuits (cookies). It was served in a beautiful tea set. We noticed there looked like a stage and we asked about it. We came here with some friends to get food before seeing Dune at the AMC right around the corner. I have never had Lebanese food and came excited to try something new. Right away when you walk in its a fun place, there's a big stage in the center of the room and a ton of cute booths around the walls with awesome like drapings and lamps. We got a booth and it was so cute, the waitress was really nice and I am pretty sure I got the Beef Shawerma Plate. We also got hummus for the table to share. Everything was so good and we really loved our little booth, it felt very fun and closed off from the rest of the restaurant. I enjoy when there's some interest in the table set ups. This was our first time eating at Oasis and there was just nothing to recommend it. To begin with, the solo server was pleasant but seriously over-worked and it took forever to even get some water and place our order. My husband had the lamb stew and found it just marginal. It had plenty of meat and a few veggie chunks but was very bland, uninteresting flavor. I had the chicken shawarma plate and found the chicken seasoned in a tart, unappealing marinade along side a mound of old, flavorless, dried-up rice. We also shared the feta salad which was overdressed in a heavy balsamic vinaigrette and truly not worth $15. Last but not least, the plastic 'leather' along our booth was completely torn up and shredded and snagged my clothing. There are plenty of spots around the metro that offer similar food so Oasis needs to do better imo. read more

All their meats were juicy including the chicken from the combination shish kebobs! One of the best Lebanese food I have tried in PDX area. The price is high though. Not sure if ChowNow has upped the price for their cut or what. I tried calling to order because this is some restaurant owners suggest, cheaper to order through phone than through the apps, but their phone has been busy. Friday dinner at the Oasis was perfect. The food was delicious. We started with Hummus Bi-Lahma with gyro and Falafel plate. Both were delicious. For my dinner, I got one skewer of Kafta with a side of spicy fries. Spicy fries were amazing! Dina was our server and she was excellent! Really loved their decor. I ordered the Falafel Lunch Plate with Humus. (I'm not a Baba G fan) THIS is comfort food The small, dense Falafel is drizzled with Tahini. The rice is light and flavorful and the Humus is as creamy as can be. I encourage you to visit the vinegary salad to freshen the palate from time to time... Service was very welcoming and the new decor looks great! I asked, and apparently there was a fire during the Pandemic and the place next door didn't stay, so Oasis expanded. Still a solid five stars. I was actually craving falafels and Oasis is so close to home, I could hear it calling my name. I was all set to order my favorite falafel wrap when another dish on the menu caught my eye: "Chicken Musuken" (sp) ($13.95): a gorgeous dish of marinated, roasted chicken topped with caramelized onions and toasted pine nuts and sumac spice wrapped in flat bread and baked. Kind of like a chimichanga but not fried. I've been told it's a staple Palestinian meal. We also tried the "Exotic Baba Ghanouj" ($12.95) basically Baba Ghanou on steroids: smoky roasted eggplant with parsley, mint, green onions, tomatoes and jalapeno peppers. Served with flat bread. The takeout portion was HUGE and we had enough for lunch the next day. I'd order this any time, even for a party and pass it off as homemade (LOL). Oasis has never failed to meet my expectations. Everything I've tried on the menu has been outstanding. The restaurant inside is very clean and pretty to look at. Even the Turkish wallpaper has glitter in it! I've never been to the live belly dancing shows or enjoyed the nightclub-like atmosphere (I'll leave that to the younger crowd). So happy Oasis made it through the pandemic intact. read more

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review for Oasis. My boyfriend and I have been frequenting this spot at least every 2-3 weeks for the last 6 months. The service is always great and our food always arrives quickly. Every dish we try seems to be better than the last. My favorites are the shish tawook plate (chicken thighs skewer) and the falafel salad. My boyfriend is obsessed with their tabouli salad and the gyros. Honorable mention to the lentil soup. And don't even get me started on the mezze plate! Strong girl dinner energy. The hummus will transport you to another dimension and they're never stingy with the pita. The decor is also on point. I love how intimate the booths feel with the curtains draped on each side. That said, some of those booth benches have been damaged for months, so hopefully they'll repair those soon. One of these days we'll have to come on a Friday night so we can see the belly dancing show! read more

I have had this spot on my list for ages now! I finally had a large door dash credit so I decided to splurge on some lebanese food! Ordered a gyro wrap, kofte kebab, and a kenafe. Gyro wrap was insane! I couldn't believe how big it was (refer to 3rd picture) I could barely hold it in one hand! On DoorDash, the photo had fries on the side so I assumed it came with but no it's just the wrap. I was a little disappointed and thought it wouldn't be enough food until I saw this monster! The gyro was juicy and flavorful, feta was mild and crumbly, garlic sauce was the perfect sauce to tie the wrap together and the pita bread was soft and chewy I ordered the kofte because I'm a sucker for a kebab and felt like I wouldn't get the full experience without it. Sad to say that it was a little bit salty but it still tasted pretty good! Kenafe was the best I've ever had! Though it wasn't crispy and ooey gooey melty. I blame this on ordering online and not eating in store. If this had a crunch, It would be perfection! Moral of the story, I think dining in would've made this a 5 star meal.
