Been living at salsbury greens for 6 years. Im a mother of 3. I get a call from landlord, her tone was very angry. Blaming me for bed bug problem. (But I haven't had an issue with bed bugs until NEW people moving in.) She was telling me I didnt do the prep right for the pest people, people are still complaining they have bed bugs. I said to her well they came sprayed 3 times. When they came to do follow ups 5 different times I was never informed they were coming so I couldn't do anything. Thats also what the pest people said it wasn't my fault the landlord never called. Now my landlord is threatening to evict me and my children because apparently im not complying with anything. Ever since they sprayed last I HAVENT SEEN ANY BUGS! I told my landlord this but apparently the pest people said other wise which I think is ridiculous because all this company does is lie! Instead of replacing appliances they take parts from old ones and put them in. I finally got a new dishwasher after 3 years of trying them to get me one. If your a week late you get a demand for rent and eviction at the door for everyone to see. The landlord doesn't deal with tenant to tenant arguments or complaints. Landlord gets complaints on my children being loud threats to evict us over that. Dirty drug needles in the attic and also at the playground in the sand and in the pool area. There are drug dealers in the buildings they keep them here because they make money and pay rent on time. If your a family that has children please dont move here. I have been trying to move and I haven't found a decent place for my children. Or I would have already left. read more

If you have obnoxious neighbors like i do you'll have to take care of it yourself. Management doesn't do much and I've talked to the neighbors twice and they lied and ignored my request to quiet down. Guess I need a lawyer. I'm also surprised how many reviews I've read mention eviction for late payments, because if that's true my neighbors should have been kicked out months ago! read more

They sent a letter with another co-ops bylaws..then stole my rent money..then sent a attorney letter about the sosm letter and stole more rent money,then they come to my home and wire the door shut with more letters..all based on 1 spam letter,I lost my home read more

They are unprofessional. They seem to not play by the tenant rights. If your a day late on your rent they don't give you a warning they go straight to the demand for rent and eviction notice in one envelope. I have been here 5 years and nothing has been fixed their excuse is we don't have enough people every single time. They don't work with you and only water is included. Rent is 1400 and I have to pay a 600 dollar electric bill which is ridiculous because I don't use alot of electric. The office managers are rude and always giving attitude. When late on rent they will call you up and yell at you to get the money. This one lady told someone I knew that I needed to not spread my business on what's going on. When I was trying to get help with my rent that way my 1 year old daughter and 8 year old son has a place to live she got mad because 2 people that were trying to help me were calling her and asking her how they could help me out and send the money for rent to her. She told them I need to stop telling people my situation and hangs up on them. Well maybe if they included electric in their rent people are more willing to pay 1400 in rent. I have been very happy at Alton Woods for 4 years. The grounds are well maintained. The staff are very considerate, polite and hard working. Through Covid they were very careful and kept the common areas clean and sanitized. The maintenance staff have been very responsive when I have reported an issue in my apartment or the common areas. The office staff have been friendly and welcoming when I needed assistance. Residents are encouraged to show their individuality when making use of their outdoor patio or balcony with the changing seasons. I feel safe with the well lite carports and walkways as well as the evening security patrolling. The rooms are good size and lots of closet space. read more

I'm a current resident at Alton Woods & have been for over a year now. Amenities offered here...pool, pool lounge area, garden, car wash, tennis courts, weight room, sauna, clubhouse are paid for in rent. Use of all of these paid-for amenities have been w/held for months now due to Covid, & Hodges states its for our safety. The stay at home order here in NH was lifted on 6/15, & we still have no use of the pool, pool area, clubhouse & more. When I asked the Property Manager & Director about a rent reduction as they are withholding these amenities, I'm being told that Hodges is in no way offering a rent reduction. Really? Your tenants pay full rent & you withhold the services they pay for? The act of theft is a crime Hodges Development Corp. Less Amenities, less rent. It's really quite simple. read more

I agree with the previous review. This company does not know what they are doing. No matter what I do, I always seem to owe fees. When I call to inquire, it is an argument. The employee that I work with there seem to be uncaring. She is also on the abrupt side, and not flexible at all. Run! read more

This place is a joke! I will co to use to leave horrible reviews. They do not work with you AT ALL! Not to mention the maintenance man stole something from my apartment (it's on camera , so look it up) I have lawyers involved with this company for years! They are a company that doesn't play by the rules and will stop at nothing to be an inconvenience to you! Would not recommend this company ! Hodges is a Joke!! They love to evict ppl without even trying to communicate. I've sent out my January lot rent in a check and they still haven't cashed it. Yesterday I got an eviction notice to leave in 5 days! I have emailed Corey from Hodges plenty of times and have not received an email back. My husband has called his office 5 times and still hasn't received a call back. read more

This operation should be investigated. They basically stole $300 from people that didn't have it. A young couple was trying to get into their HUD apartment housing. They brought all of their documentation regarding their income. First, they were told they made too much (and the woman actually suggested the wife quit her job!) and then they were told they should apply anyways, which they did. They received a letter with an apartment number and a move in date. The letter was an intent to rent offer and required $300 to hold the apartment. The letter also said the $300 was non-refundable if they didn't move in. They didn't feel comfortable with that but was assured that was only if THEY decided not to move in. Thirteen days prior to the move-in, they received another letter saying they made too much money and would be taken off of the list. The couple called and emailed about getting the $300 back and were told they wouldn't be getting it back because it was non-refundable. I'm sorry, but this was no fault of their own. This company should have sorted out finances before offering them an apartment. This couple doesn't have $300 to lose. They are in the process of contacting legal about this as it is not right. read more
