My wife and I paid the full price for a brand-new model, and while the delivery fee was waived as a sign of good faith, the freezer we received had clearly been diverted from another store. It turned out to be a display model, not new, and it arrived scuffed and slightly damaged. It's one thing to make a mistake; it's another to repeat it. This entire process has wasted both my time and my wife's. She even had to go back to the store in person and act more forcefully than she should have needed to, just to get basic service. The store manager responded as one might expect a corporate tool, proving difficult to reason with. It's not difficult to see where the shift managers get it. It took several individuals before someone finally took ownership of the situation. Thankfully, one decent manager stepped up, had the staff retrieve the display unit, and replaced it with a new one in the original box; something that could have easily been done on day one. Instead of resolving the issue from the start, the management offered explanations and justifications, without taking a moment to see the situation from the customer's point of view. For a store with a 3.5-star rating, I would have hoped for more accountability and care. Sadly, this experience has convinced me that this will be our last purchase from Home Depot.

Generator Installed Incorrectly, Not Reliably Operational, and No Accountability…read more We had an extremely poor experience with Martin Porter and Clark Sales & Service. Martin was our primary point of contact and the person we relied upon to advise us regarding the appropriate Generac system, generator placement, available options, covered circuits, and coordination of the installation. Our 26 kW Generac generator was installed in approximately July 2025. During the following year, it experienced repeated operational problems and failed us during two power outages. When we needed the generator in May, it did not operate because of a failed circuit that the technician described as an extremely unusual problem for a generator of that age. The more serious problem occurred during an extended power outage and heat wave. Although we had specifically agreed that our well pump and HVAC would be backed up, neither operated on generator power. We were left without water or air conditioning during the outage, creating exactly the health and safety situation we purchased the generator to prevent. Martin did arrange for the electrical contractor to return and correct the problem. The electrician initially appeared to believe that the well pump and HVAC had been connected properly, but later claimed that those items had been omitted from Martin's work order. Regardless of how the mistake occurred between Clark Sales & Service and its contractor, the critical circuits we expressly requested were not connected, and no effective quality-control testing was performed before the system was placed in service. After completing the corrective work, the contractor did not test the system to confirm that the well pump and HVAC operated on generator power. We later tested the system ourselves with a different electrician and confirmed that the corrected system was working properly. We have received no meaningful acknowledgment or apology from Martin or Clark Sales & Service for the incorrect installation, lack of testing, or substantial inconvenience and physical discomfort it caused. After the corrective work was completed, I directly asked Martin to call me and acknowledge what had happened. He did not respond and has not communicated with me since. We also would have considered a larger, whole-home Generac system, but Martin did not adequately explain or present those options. We now intend to upgrade through another provider because we no longer have confidence in Martin Porter or Clark Sales & Service. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Clark Sales & Service. Anyone using this company should insist on comprehensive testing under simulated outage conditions before accepting the installation.

Therefore, I drove almost 2 hours (from the Washington D.C. area) to take a look at it. Low and behold it was just like it was advertised and shown in the pictures. The prices are VERY reasonable, especially for the quality that you will be receiving. It's very rare that you find honest people like this, who genuinely offer reasonable prices and who are not trying to scam you. I also paid for delivery, the husband/owner and his moving assistant delivered the dresser. It was very heavy (as it had a marble top) and I have wood floors throughout my place. They were VERY careful without me instructing them on not scratching any of the wood floors....which I can't always say is the case for other deliveries I've had at my place (and paid for). They had all the equipment ready and again were very careful when delivering it....you could tell that this defiantly wasn't their 1st time. They even took my old dresser WITHOUT giving me any push back or charging extra. The only semi-complaint that I would say is that the delivery was slightly pricey. Which I completely understood due to about 4 hours to and from, paying the tolls, and hiring help. Again, these are the type of people that you would want to buy from...it's very rare to be able to say that about sales people! Both the husband and wife are very friendly and sincere people. Next time when I buy from them (which now I'm defiantly planning on doing) I'm going to trust the photos from their website and place my order. It's very reassuring to know that there are people like them still out there in this world!

The store specializes in great quality, antique furniture. I've bought at least a dozen pieces of furniture in this shop and the prices were very reasonable. One of the things I love about this store is that the furniture is in its antique splendor and hasn't been plastered with tacky chalk paint or stencils. If you are in the area, stop in and have a look. There is always a wide variety of items for sale in the shop and you never know what you will find. I've purchased chairs, tables, and even handmade antique table linens here and have been happy with every purchase. The furniture is very reasonably priced and Donna is great to work with on buying items in sets and on layaway.
