Enjoyed my solo movie date to see the sequel to one of my favorite movies, The Devil Wears Prada 2!…read more I specifically chose this AMC because it's tucked away in the cut, not super visible from the main road, and honestly that's part of the appeal. It's always clean, calm, and drama-free every time I come here. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which already makes the experience less stressful before you even walk inside. The seats are HUGE and super comfortable, perfect for a relaxing movie night. Service is efficient, bathrooms are easy to access, and overall the theater experience is consistently solid. I genuinely have no complaints about this location. It has also been one of my go-to quick movie date night spots with my man too Definitely one of my preferred theaters in the area.

"Nick, you need to know what you're up against, because it's bad," Nick's friend Monroe, a blutbad…read more(and a wolf-like vesen) explains. "It's goes way back to something roughly translated as 'The Wild Hunt.'" Nick points out, "We can't find [the killers]. We got no prints, no I.D., no record of where they came from..." "That's what I'm trying to tell you," Monroe interjects. "You don't have to find them. According to legend, the first thing you hear is terrible thunder and howling wind, as if the [ferocious wildesheer, also known as caccia morta] are being blown right out of hell." "Not so encouraging..." "They're hunters," Monroe continues, "and their life's blood is built upon killing powerful warriors; and it just so happens that the Grimm is, like, the post powerful warrior of all." "You think they know about me?" "I think it's no coincidence they're in Portland...listen, the most important thing is they will be coming after you...so what we can do is pick where [the fight] happens...and I highly suggest that's not my house." Although, lucky for us Marylanders, picking a theater for where to watch movies is not close to being a life-and-death matter, as choosing where to fight the caccia morta is for Nick and Monroe, it is still ideal to find a space that offers supremely comfortable reclining chairs with cupholders, that isn't attached to a mall or exists in the heart of a downtown metropolis, and that is less likely to have every screening jam-packed seat-to-seat with screaming kids, teenagers on their cell phones, and influencers more concerned with exuberantly filming themselves than silently watching and enjoying each film. For all of those reasons and more, my friends and I choose the AMC Center Park 8 Theatre on 4001 Powder Mill Rd in Beltsville.

I had a great experience celebrating the 25yr anniversary for Shrek (a classic) at the Bryant…read morestreet Alamo. The theater itself is really clean and quiet. The chairs are comfortable and the receptionist were super sweet and helpful. I'd lost my email confirmation for my ticket and was able to call and have a young lady leave a copy of my ticket at the front. It wasn't just that she did it, but she was just so happy to be helpful and I really appreciated that. The movie itself was amazing and it was super cool being in company with people who love something I enjoy so much. The theater provided Shrek ears, a swamp bath bomb. and a blue bird that exploded after a sing off with Fiona haha. They encouraged people to quote, dance and sing along with the movie and it was very cute. I ordered the double cheeseburger burger with fries and extra pickles. The burger was 7/10, they didn't ask me how I wanted it but it was decent. Could've stood to be more seasoned but overall it was a solid burger. The fries were buns, 5/10, no seasoning and soggy. They also sell booze which would be ideal for a late night movie. They provide 4hrs of validated parking which is also a plus so it's quite possible to catch two movies in that time OR have a quick drink at metro bar before your time is up :o). Overall it was a great experience and I'll be back.

After moving to the Union Market area, this location became my go-to because it's so convenient. I…read moreused to frequent the Crystal City location and had great experiences there, so I was excited to make this one my regular spot. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been a bit hit or miss. Food & Drinks This is where most of my frustration comes in. On my most recent visit (Sunday, April 26) to see the Michael Jackson movie, I tried to order a milkshake only to find out the machine was broken. This is the second time recently that the milkshake machine has been down. At this point, Alamo's milkshake machine is starting to feel like McDonald's... always broken. On another visit, I attempted to order iced tea and they were out. I then asked for lemonade and they were out of that too. I ended up settling for a ginger ale, which I was charged $8.50 for. Prices here are already on the higher side, but that charge felt incorrect since most of the other soft drinks listed were closer to $6. For what you pay, you expect basic menu items to actually be available. I also wish there were more gluten-free food options, as the current selection feels limited compared to other theaters and restaurants in the area. Service Service really depends on who you get. Some servers and staff provide great customer service and are attentive, but others act like they don't want to be there, which takes away from the experience. I did speak with the manager, Peyton, who was kind and apologized multiple times. However, the interaction felt like it lacked the professionalism or experience needed to actually resolve the issue. A small gesture, like comping an item or offering a return ticket, would have gone a long way, especially given that these weren't first-time issues. Ambiance & Logistics The theater itself is nice and generally clean, which I appreciate. The recliner seats are comfortable and, importantly, they always work, which is a big plus. There's also plenty of parking in the lot to the right of the theater, and parking can be validated for the garage, making visits pretty convenient. Overall I really want this location to be better because it's so close to home and has the potential to be a great neighborhood theater. But repeated issues with menu availability, inconsistent service, and pricing concerns make it hard to fully enjoy the experience. Hoping to see improvements, because convenience alone isn't enough to keep customers coming back.
