Don't be alarmed by the AI assistant that handles the initial intake--it honestly sounds almost too real--but it made the process quick and efficient. If you prefer speaking with a person, I was transferred to April right away. She was wonderful and helped me reschedule to a time that worked even better for me. Carl Abernathy is a top-notch plumber. He arrived right on time, immediately put on the signature red booties to protect my home, and treated my property with respect from start to finish. This wasn't a standard water heater installation. Because of the age of my home, there were several unexpected challenges, including issues with the water main that required utility upgrades. To make matters even more interesting, there was a deeply hidden yellow jacket infestation right at the gas shutoff valve! None of this dissuaded Carl as he handled every obstacle with professionalism, determination, and an incredible work ethic. He never let any of it stop him. What impressed me most was his honesty. He took the time to explain my options without ever making me feel pressured or oversold. I trusted his professional recommendations because they were clearly based on my home's needs. The hot water heater was delivered within the hour. By the end of the appointment, I had exactly what I needed, and everything was completed the very same day. We had an unknown plumbing issue that was causing water to back-up from the basement floor drain. This happened late Sunday night but not an emergency, so I searched for plumbing companies. Selected Hoffman as they are family owned, not a big box chain and had very good reviews. I easily used their online AI assistant to schedule an appt for Tuesday. No other drains or sinks/toilets were affected, though we immediately quit using water. Technician ended up coming on Wednesday and we were able to use water sparingly till then. Andrew was right on time and I received texts prior to his arrival. Basically, Andrew was awesome and quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue. He fully explained what had happened (turned out to be a minor clog near the floor drain). He went through all options and was very attentive and responsive. He was able to resolve the issue without any costly or invasive service. I appreciated the fact that he was very explanatory and never pushy, like many companies can be (even beyond plumbing). He followed the SRC philosophy: making me feel Secure, Respected and Cared For, and that is what defines good customer service. I would recommend Hoffman to anyone and certainly appreciated Andrew, who was an excellent ambassador for Hoffman. Brian Bischof did an amazing job! He was knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and really took the time to listen and educate us on our current 18 year old HVAC situation and the difference we will be seeing with our new HVAC system's air quality, dimensions, and even materials. Our furnace went out and we needed someone out quickly to restore the heat. Our technician Brad responded within a few hours and assessed the problem(s). Brad explained everything in detail, left to retrieve the necessary parts, returned, and within a few hours heat was restored. The cost to do the repairs was a little higher than I had expected but because of his expertise and communication throughout the process, it was well worth it.
