This was literally perfect for my family. We decided to all last minute go to a pumpkin patch to celebrate the fall and I am so glad we chose Hogan Farms Pumpkin Patch! They do a great great job catering to everyone. When you walk up, you're able to purchase what activity you want to do and it has prices along it. They also have a wristband option to purchase everything and to jus do the entire package deal. It would have been cool if a hotdog or food item for the kids came with the package as they were screaming for water and food after but we decided to eat elsewhere. The corn maze......my gosh! I was terrified. That's all the Halloween activities I need as we were literally lost in the maze and couldn't get out. Eventually we jus went out the way we came in lol. The bounce house, hayride, and all was a good time. They even had a live singer. Totally worth it

Enjoyed family time today at Hogan Farms. The pumpkin patch is pretty large and there were TONS of pumpkins to choose from. It was pretty awesome to walk through and pick from a variety of shapes and sizes. They have a couple of little red wagons and wheelbarrows to tote around your toddlers and pumpkins. You don't pay by weight like you do some places, instead they have sizers they slide over your pumpkin and charge by circumference. There is also a huge variety of gores and mini pumpkins closer to the register. You can pay with cash or credit. I used a groupon and paid $43 for 4 people. There is a "fun" area with a bounce house, tire and hay stacks, petting zoo, and cut outs for photos. I was a bit disappointed in the play area, but my daughter had fun so I'll take it. I expected some history of the farm, etc on the hay ride, But the tracker driver was polite and we enjoyed the company of the others. The corn maze is the big ticket thing. It takes about 45 minutes to get through. You are given a map/guide that shows the corn areas and the pathways. The map was a bit confusing because there are paths that aren't on the paper and vice verse. There were a couple tables that had food, drinks, and fresh popcorn. Cash only! Overall, we had fun. The staff didn't seem friendly and it was a bit unorganized that's why I only gave it 3 stars.

If it was just my husband and I, it would've been a two star experience. The kids definitely made our day special. We decided to eat there, which was probably a mistake. Food is WAY too expensive, especially when you have kids who don't like anything. I had the white bean and chicken chili, which was good, but definitely not worth $7. Drinks were a separate charge, and NO WATER in the food area. What!? Great. The day I forget to bring water bottles. Not cool. They had free hay rides, temp tattoos, face painting, farm-themed photo booth, corn hole, bubbles and hula hoops. Yes, many kids-friendly activities, but don't think you can't get in there. The kiddos insisted that I get my face painted to match their butterfly faces. They loved that we all matched! They had some craft booths, and the fields enjoyed looking at what each booth sold, taking samples of anything. It was a fun experience, but I think we will explore some other options next year.

First the $10.oo entry was a little steep for the evet they were offering. The whole "buy food tickets" program was just cumbersome and had flocks of people walking incircles all day. The food was dreadfully awful and I hope this was just a one time incident and not the direction that TPC is now going. The best part in my opinion was the marketplace of local vendors just outside the creamery. This is where I spent most of my time and money. I would love to see this admission cost reduced and this local vendor area increased. Fingers crossed for next year! PS the childrens drum circle was also a great idea.

The creamery / dairy is such a cool addition to the whole experience. They make their own ice cream and various cheeses. They offered them on a cheese charcuterie board for an appetizer. The place sits on a large and very pretty plot of property. The cows are adorable and they have my favorite cows - the cute and sweet brown Swiss and Jersey breeds. The restaurant is vast and the atmosphere is comfy and rustic. The food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was all well prepared. We tried the fish, burger, mac and cheese and scallops pasta dish. I had a filet steak and it was wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly. Last night was the third time I attended Harvest Nights. This was the first time I arrived before it was dark so it was less spooky and a bit more wholesome in the daylight. We arrived at 7 and stayed until about 9 pm to experience everything lit up after dark. When you arrive, you're surrounded by stacks of pumpkins in every size, shape, color and type imaginable. Beautiful Fall arrangements are everywhere you look. The Fungi Forest was something new I haven't seen before. Very cool! I felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland encompassed by giant mushrooms towering above illuminated by strategically placed neon lights. One of the highlights of the event was the Cutwater Lounge--a 21+ space upstairs in the Lily House transformed into "Mischief Manor" only for Harvest Nights. The bartender told me this was the first year having this feature. We had a flight of the Cutwater alcoholic beverages that included a snack mix of tasty treats. The Mule and Espresso Martini were our favs with the margarita coming in 3rd. Cutwater's take on the Lemon Drop (which is a drink I typically enjoy) was strong yet tasted a bit watered down. The adult only experience wasn't very well marked (it's upstairs) and signage in general--starting at the parking lot entrance--needs improvement. I'm not sure we would have known about the adult area had it not been for the nice lady who sold us some yummy sweet potato fries with sage and bourbon maple dip. The Spider Stomp, Ghost Train and light show projected onto the Lily House all add to the overall experience. The seasonal food and drink options are great albeit a bit pricey. Passed on the $12 Bavarian pretzel but had to try Elysian Pumpkin Ale and wanted to try the cider but $14 was a little steep. It's not necessary to spend $20 for premium parking that they pressure you to purchase when you first pull into the lot. I recommend getting there early and wearing some of your best walking shoes. It's a cashless campus so good to keep that in mind. Love Newfields and can't wait for Winterlights in a couple months!

The Lily house had a long line but we enjoyed going in and seeing all the spooky details inside.

I had the chance to accompany a friend to Spencer Farm for a relatively brief visit. While it was pretty brief, I was impressed. Spencer Farm was started by, you guessed it, the Spencers - Lori and Kyle. It started out as Spencer's U-Pick in 1982. They started out with strawberries. By 1986, they moved to a new farm on Cherry Tree Road. They expanded to include red raspberries, black raspberries, blueberries, and chrysanthemums. They've added pumpkins, asparagus, grapes, Christmas trees, and their son founded a winery that now also sits on the farm grounds. Spencer's now does pre-picked, you-pick, and wholesale fruit. In 2008, they further expanded the farm with a variety of Indiana products including ice cream, fudge, pies, jams, jellies, etc. As you can tell, I immediately wanted to see their sunflower field. I love, love, love sunflowers. One of the reasons I'm not particularly a farm dude is because farms are seldom very accessible. While Spencer's isn't perfect, there's a STRONG effort here to be accessible. I was honestly surprised and impressed. You could send me to the gift shop, and I could be a very happy camper. I will note that they have a strong photography policy. It's on their website, but if you're taking professional equipment I'd read the policies first as there are requirements. There's an awful lot to love here. The people are friendly. The farm is well laid out and surprisingly accessible (the fields obviously have some issues - they're fields). There's accessible parking close to the entrance. This would be a great place for families. Children should definitely enjoy it. There's a strong element of faith here, and that's radiated in the beauty of the surroundings and the service.

Oh my goodness there are so many activities to enjoy, both for kids and adults. The place was so crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and you could tell everyone was having a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend heading out there! A few things to note: first, dogs are allowed! If you are like me and have a trained service animal, it can be a bit overwhelming (if you know, you know). They are not allowed in indoor spaces, only outside (SD's allowed everywhere). But many people had their pets and seemed to really be enjoying themselves! Second, food does not really meet dietary needs/restrictions. They have a lot of your basic "fair foods" or foods you'd find at a pumpkin patch - hot pretzels, burgers, hot dogs, apple cider donuts, etc. I am vegetarian and really struggled to find a true meal other than little snacky things scattered about. If you are planning to spend the day here (which you can EASILY do), plan ahead with food in your car! Third, on the plus side, everything was wheelchair accessible. Terrain may be harder to navigate with gravel and many hills going up & down (paths are dirt but well established), but all buildings have access. Other than this, it truly was a fun time!! Would visit again, and am planning on it!
