I had a great time at Stuckey Farm with some friends! We came to do the corn maze like true Midwest girlies, and it didn't disappoint. We did the scavenger hunt, completed puzzles inside the maze, and eventually wound our way through! It was a very hot day for the season, so the apple cider slushes and hayride around the farm were good rewards. They also served Native Bread cookies in the shop, so I had a pumpkin chocolate chip one. A very pleasing option for a gluten free and dairy free person like me! I bought cider to take home and it was fantastic and priced well. It cost $10 each to get back into the activity area, which was reasonable, but could get pricey if you're bringing a big family. So check rates ahead of time and save up! But we had a great visit and I'd go back for another fall adventure. read more

I attended the Sunflower Festival this weekend with my husband, sister and niece. There's really something for everyone. They have a gift shop as well as a neat and novelty grocery dept. There was a kids entrepreneurial endeavor as well where we bought some trinkets and sunflower pillowcases made by the kids who were selling them directly. Great concept! Whether you'd like to snack on delicious, fresh cider donuts while sipping on apple cider slush or have a smash burger & watch your wood fired pizza being made for lunch, the food and drinks are guaranteed to keep you in good spirits. The festival admission includes two fresh cuttings of any sunflowers of your choosing as well as three zinnia cuts. They hand you a pair of clippers and you then get to venture out into the "Fields of Gold"-- to quote Sting. It's overwhelmingly beautiful. The admission also includes tractor & train rides around the farm, access to the big slides (child sizes too) playgrounds and the opportunity to go apple picking for an additional fee. Prices are all pretty reasonable for an event like this one and parking is free. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They have activities for kids to keep them busy and entertained. 10/10 will be returning again next year. read more

There is a fun kids area, pig racing, and it comes with a credit for the U-Pick Apples. Similar to what others have said though, it's VERY annoying to have to pay a $16 entrance fee for everyone, including kiddos over 2. There aren't even that many activities for that fee. I understand you get some apples and some flowers (definitely not worth the add-in-took an hour to get back and forth on the tractor for some flimsy flowers that immediately wilted on the way home) included in the fee but not a fan of paying $80+ for my family just to enter and then have the privilege of buying more things. At least other farms/orchards who charge have a whole day of activities included. Not the best value but my kids had a good time so we'll take it. read more

Came to the farm mostly for the sunflowers (during the sunflower festival) and apple cider donuts, ended up having a full day of fun. There were a good amount of things for the children to do in the play area including 3 large slides, a jump pad, a rather large corn maize, and a few pieces of playground equipment. There's also a train that goes around the property for a full scenic view. The sunflower field was gorgeous! It's separated into a two areas: the front is for photo ops and the back is for picking. The photo opp area had multiple props to make the photos memorable . The picking offered a great selection and I loved my bouquet. TLDR: Rude teenage staff ruined our experience. Not buying the "festival wristbands" made us persona non grata. On a rainy Saturday morning, we decided to go to the orchard and buy apple cider donuts and cider slushies. We decided not to buy the $15 wristbands to pick apples and just went to the store. We were asked to park in the festival lot "to keep enough accessible parking". With few people there, this was comical. We went in the store and shopped for some cider and looked at their limited supply of market goods. Long story short, I apparently stepped through a door I shouldn't have despite a lack a signage and bought some donuts. A teenage employee aggressively corrected us. When politely confronted about her approach, things eventually escalated to the employee reminding us we were free to leave. We did speak to a manager who acknowledged the employee had not acted professionally and apologized. I don't love to write a one star review about a family business, but the teenage employees clearly had not received enough customer service training to reflect well on this spot. read more

If you are adults and only want to pick apples, consider another orchard. The place is nice and the store is fun to browse through but they only had 2 kind of apples bagged for purchase at this visit - fuji and gala. Since we prefer more tart apples, we decided to pick. For 18.50 per person (weekends) for anyone who walks on the orchard property, meaning my husband was not allowed to come with me even if I was the only one picking, you get a 1/4 peck bag of apples. I managed to get 9 apples in the bag so about $2 per apple + the experience. The apples are quite good but I will likely visit Anderson in Mooresville or the Apple Works next time. read more

A native of Indianapolis, I had never been to Stuckey Farm. I read about the Sunflower Festival - only open for two weekends - and wanted to see it for myself. There are two time-blocks you can purchase tickets for - pro-tip: if you purchase through the app, you get $2 off each ticket. When you arrive show the barcode and you get your wristbands. A wagon will take you through the apple orchard to the sunflower field if you're not up for the walk - it's not far and the ride is fun/festive. The sunflower field is really pretty - a mixture of heights and colors of the flowers. The front field is for pictures and there's two raised look out platforms for folks to go up and view the entirety of the field. The back field is where you can pick a sunflower - one pick per wristband. Of course when we were back at the main store, we had to get the apple cider donuts - THESE ARE WORTH IT. So good. A great place to have family activity in the fall. We've been going every year. I think they have to bring in a different food / experience . This was our first time visit Stuckey's and we enjoyed our visit! We started with apple picking and at first it looked like there were not many apples to pick but if you walk down to the end of the rows there were quite a few. My only complaint was the bags for apple picking are much smaller than other orchards I have visited in the past and paid less for admission. We then tried the apple cider slushies and donuts. They were very good! It would be a fun place to take younger kids as there's lots of activities to do. The price just seemed high for 2 adults that were not using any of those areas and there for apple picking. I wish there was a choice to just pick apples at a lower price. Looking for some fresh country air and beautiful farmland? Just north of Zionsville lies Stuckey Farms. Stuckey Farms has been in business as long as I can remember. Our kids used to take field trips here when they were in school. The farm is open seven days a week with seasonal picking. Today, we picked a wide variety of apples. On a Wednesday morning we had the farm to ourselves. You can pick 4 different size bags. We picked 1/2 peck for $10 which is about 15 apples. You can mix varieties. Our granddaughter enjoyed helping us pick. Their website tells you what's is in season for picking. They even have you pick sunflowers. The shop has every thing from cider bottled on the farm, local produce, jams, jellies, sauces, popcorn and seasonal decor. Prices are reasonable. The produce looked a little tired today, but everything else looked fabulous. The clerk is friendly and helpful. Checkout was quick and easy. There is a playground that was closed during our visit due to construction of a slide. In the fall they host a fall festival with pumpkins and more. Pets are not permitted on the grounds except for service dogs. There is plenty of parking. read more

Stuckey Farms is a great local spot, and their apple cider donuts are definitely worth the trip. It's always nice to support a local business like this. However, this year they've started charging admission just to access the back area of the farm, even if you're not using the family-friendly attractions. I went on a Thursday at 5 PM just to pick out some pumpkins, and I had to pay $12 admission, which included apples that were unfortunately rotten. The pumpkins are overpriced as well--standard ones are $12, and fancier varieties go up from $14 without clear pricing displayed. I understand paying admission on busy weekends, but it feels unnecessary on a slow weekday. read more

We walked up to the front entrance and they told us $16/person (but an $8/pers credit towards apples!). No f-ing way. My kids are too old to do the 'activities'. I'm a teacher and I was in correspondence with the staff from the Stuckey Farm Orchard. I tried to plan a field trip with them and requested for a sign language interpreter. They said they don't provide one. The interpreter coordinator contacted them and agreed resources with how to obtain an interpreter because it's the law to provide an interpreter for the deaf visitors on a tour. They stopped responding and ignored our phone calls. Sighhh... very disappointing .. looking for an another orchard asap!!! read more

We love going and picking apples at Stuckeys. They're always nice apples. We've been going for over 12 years now and it's a family tradition. Unfortunately this year they decided they needed to start charging to pick apples because they added some stuff that used to be only on the weekends for festivals. We have no desire to do these things with our family because the experience is getting out and picking apples. Now it costs our family of 6 so much to go that we can't come back to pick apples again when we usually come 2-3 times a year to buy apples. I hope they come up with a pass that is only to pick apples and not do the other silly things that weren't even running. For apple picking this place is great but extremely expensive now. Hopefully they can figure out a better system to allow for more options on pricing to pick apples so it's more affordable to families. read more

It was a nice adventure taking my kids to enjoy the sunflower festival and apple picking to begin our fall activities this year. We were all eager to go to experience what they have to offer. We started with the sunflower picking where we were greeted by two cheerful women. They scanned our tickets and ensured that we had the basket and we understood what we purchased, which was nice. We headed towards the sunflower area and noticed the playground was closed. This was extremely disappointing for us because we felt activities for children was widely advertised online. Nonetheless, we picked our sunflowers and even got to see the fields from a great view once we climbed into the overlook area. Once we completed our time picked sunflowers, we took pictures in the giant chairs and headed into the apple picking area. This was extremely enjoyable for our family and would most certainly enjoy this again. We ended our visit grabbing some cider donuts which were absolutely AMAZING!!! I am a big fan of Stuckey Farm. Their apple cider slushies and apple cider donuts are TOP TEIR! I am glad that those were in large supply because unfortunately their apples were not. We came here last weekend hoping to apple pick and there were hardly any apples. The ones that were still on the tree were rotted or eaten by bugs. We usually apple pick this time of year, but maybe our extra hot summer is to blame? Luckily they make you pay AFTER you pick. I've enjoyed going to Stuckey Farm the last few years. They have a kind staff, a cute store, and a decent orchard. Unfortunately, all their apples are picked over this year. I went on Friday and got a few sickly-looking ones but they didn't have many apples due to the early frost. It is sad that such a quaint, solid business suffered due to the challenging spring. At the same time, I must say that the farm's communication is lacking. I only found out they were out of apples by word-of-mouth. I couldn't reach anyone by phone and even their voicemail (which mentioned that they'd open for the season in July) was outdated. My niece and I had SUCH A BLAST at Stuckey Farm!! We had apple cider slushees, popcorn, hot dogs, apple cider donuts...everything was fresh and DELICIOUS!! We enjoyed the corn maze, apple cannon, tube slide, wagon ride, the air...EVERYTHING was perfect!! Well, as some other Yelpers have pointed out, we came for the sunflower festival. However, once we walked out to where the sunflowers were, it was pretty clear that they were very picked over, so that was kind of a bust. However, they do have a decent apple orchard, so we picked several varieties of apples instead. They also have a nice indoor country store where you can buy a variety of farm-related food products and decorations. I grew up in the northern part of Indiana, so I'm not a native of these parts. But, I can see how longtime residents of this area probably have a fondness for Stuckey Farm. It's one of those outdoor things to do on a Saturday afternoon, and as long as you go into it not expecting an amusement park experience, then you'll have a good time. read more

It is disappointing to have to pay $12 a person (anyone 3 and up) on a weekday to pick apples. We avoided the weekend festival days because we don't need the fun zone or any of the extras. You do get a 1/4 of peck included in the cost but that amounts to about 4 large apples. We will be looking elsewhere next year for a place that values just simple apple picking as a family fun event. read more

Not fantastic. Money hungry and it feels that way from the first second you arrive to the last. They charge everyone, adults and kids, to access basically everything except the stores where you can pay for things. Then when you get inside they charge you again for the one semi-exciting tube slide. But they didn't tell us that when we paid for the "fair entrance" band. The apple still left on the tiny trees were all pretty deformed but tasted ok. The better apples were in giant bins in the store. The lines for the donuts (not sure the price) and apple cider drinks ($10 each) were so long. The best thing there was the pumpkin carving by Jonathan Bullman who doesn't work for the farm and can be found elsewhere. I would definitely do a search for better family farms. read more

The concession stand on site is pretty great with a decent offering at good price points. 4 stars not 5 because it's a little too expensive and the corn maze is always super lackluster due to the corn always only being like 18" high. I've gotten this far in life without making a stereotypical fall trip to an apple orchard and pumpkin patch, and I figured it was about time. While Stuckey might not be the highest rated orchard in the greater Indianapolis area, it was the shortest commute for me. Driving down the empty state road to reach Stuckey, I felt like I was much further away from Carmel/Zionsville than I actually was. Some (small) rolling hills, cornfields for miles, abandoned farms, horse stables - certainly makes you feel like you're a world away! You can't miss Stuckey with the big red barn. It was busy on a cold, sunny October Saturday, but I found a parking spot pretty quickly. Parking is free, but its $5 general admission and this does not include the prices of picking apples/pumpkins. If you just want to shop in the farm store, there is no charge. There are activities kids would enjoy - tractor/wagon ride, slide, horse ride (only one horse), play area, etc. I was on a mission to pick some apples, and I selected the smallest bag (half peck) for $7. The bag looks tiny, but it stretches! The lady said it could hold 10-15 apples, but I squeezed 22 into the bag (of course, all different sizes). This was plenty of apples for me, and at a great price! It was a brisk day, but I enjoyed wandering through the orchard rows and searching for good apples. There are dozens upon dozens scattered on the ground that are rejects or have fallen off the branches, and many that had wormholes, but that makes the search more of a challenge. We did not go out to the pumpkin patch because pumpkins aren't great this year, but I snagged a perfectly round small one for $3 in the barrels in the farm store. There you can find apples pre-bagged if you don't want to pick your own. They also have cider (delish!), pumpkin and apple donuts they make fresh on-site, fudge, all kinds of apple butters, fall decor, and more. It was very busy in the farm store and I had to wait 10-15 minutes to check out. NOTE: if you are paying with debit/credit, you must spend a minimum $10 or else you will be charged $1 for processing fees. So, either bring cash or plan to spend more than $10. While I wish it were free admission like other orchards (Tuttle), $5 isn't that much and I'm happy to make a contribution to support a local business! read more

We'll typically go during the week in the fall, and am always pleased with how not busy it is. I've heard it can be a madhouse on the weekends. It's been a tradition in my family for years to come, pick apples, laugh and enjoy being outside. Some years, depending on weather that year, the Apple selection may be off, but that's never deterred us from coming back the next year. Beyond the orchard, the country store is great. Fall is the time to pursue the most basic of activities, and I say this with love and no judgement because I love them. A friend and I decided we wanted to go to a real pumpkin patch and started looking around on yelp to help us make a decision. The pictures at stucky farms were the most intriguing and we decided to make the trip up. Really not to bad if you are coming from the north east side. When you get there, you can find a decent amount of parking, just be mindful after a heavy rain, a lot of people seemed to have some issues leaving. Very cute place! There was a festival going on that day, so there was a separate section that we didn't go to, but it seemed fun with tractor rides out to the orchard and patch. The side we were to was great, you could pick out produce, other farm products and even have an Apple cider flight! I had never had that before! Spent an enjoyable day here with a girl friend! We arrived just in time for the pig races which we were intrigued by. They really did race pigs in a track! It was a funny way to kick our day off. We came here for the corn maze and it did not disappoint! It took us at least an hour to get out of there! It was really well done and we loved it. We also enjoyed some warm apple cider donuts! I am not a yeast donut fan but wow this was actually so delicious I bought half a dozen and they're so good even reheated! A childhood favorite. I feel like I grew up here- I'd play on the pirate-ship-themed playground for hours, run through the corn maze, stare at the busy bees making honeycomb, enjoy a nice hayride into the apple orchard to pick apples, snag a pumpkin and lug home jugs of apple cider. You can still do all of these things, just make sure you come here during the prime season. It'll be slow with little going on before or after their true fall season. There is a nice fall, country store where you can watch cider being made and packaged, and you can buy all sorts of apples, cider, flavored honey, candy, caramel apples, apple donuts, etc. You can also apple pick, which is always a fun activity to take children to do as well. The trees are organized by type and the staff will help you determine the best apple for your needs (eating, applesauce, pies, etc.). I've heard that the prices recently went up, but just know that upon arrival. Stuckey Farms offers tons of activities for a perfect fall day, so don't be upset at the official price, but joyful that your family will have an entire day in the sunshine, learning things that aren't technology-centered. Stuckey Farm was a very cool experience! I attended during the Sunflower festival the first weekend on Sunday, and it was evident that it was a popular event by the amount of people there for my time frame, being out of metal buckets for the full sunflower package, and a lot of the sunflowers already being picked through. Other than being slightly disappointed by the lack of blooming sunflowers, it was a great place! Very friendly staff, great apple orchard with plenty of choices, a nice wagon ride, and cool store front. Wow! So much for the kiddos to do here! If you're looking for an afternoon of entertainment, bring the kids here during the Harvest Festival. One downside is that it's a bit pricey. But, for a full afternoon of fun, it's probably worth it. We don't have kids and literally drove out here for one reason: donuts. Oh yeah...fresh, hot donuts!! I'm definitely in! The donuts were very tasty but really only while they are warm. Not so great the next day. Don't be like us and assume that a dozen donuts is appropriate for two people.
