Eddie did a great job repairing my floor tile In a pinch. He was responsive, on time,…read moreconscientious, and did work. He was even willing to work around my schedule and had to make an extra trip to do that. I highly recommend Lux Tops for tile work.

Eduardo remodeled my kitchen three years ago. I was nervous. I'd never hired a contractor…read morebefore, and I had heard horror stories. I need not have worried. He made the process painless. The entire project took 12 days. Some of the photos in his profile are of my kitchen. It is beautiful! He was prompt, cleaned up, had great attention to detail. Communication was smooth. I told him I'd let him know when it was time to update our bathroom. Fast forward to May 2026. I called Eduardo in May to arrange a remodel of my master bathroom. He provided me with a very reasonably priced contract and quoted 3-4 weeks for the project. I paid the deposit, and demolition began on schedule. The demolition is the only part of the project that went (mostly) according to plan. The good news: Six weeks into a 4-week project, we have a gorgeous tile floor. Eduardo sent a fantastic tile setter to finish the floor tiles (after his first tile setter had thoroughly mucked up the job.) Thr smart toilet is installed and works well. The bad news: two months into a 4-week project, we still have no shower. We have a tub and working vanities. The bathroom is usable only because I hired another contractor to seal the tile, install the tub with its faucet, and connect the sink faucets and drains. I gave up waiting for the crew to patch and paint where they had to cut into the wall and install outlets, and did that part myself because it was something I could do to make the whole thing better. I also installed and sealed the baseboards. We have had multiple delays and concerns about quality. While most concerns were addressed to my satisfaction, each one has caused a delay, and the job should have been done right the first time...not the THIRD time. The concern left unaddressed was when an improperly installed floor mounted tub filler fell over and flooded the bathroom. I reached out immediately and asked for a plumber to come ASAP (it was a Friday morning) and he said he would send someone "tomorrow". That was the point at which I began to contact other companies. Communication has been a challenge. Many times the worker who was schedule to come "today" just didn't show up. Texts to Eddie about this were often ignored for hours. I receive texts of "thanks for your patience" on a regular basis. Yesterday he promised to bring the shower glass and install it. At 10:30 I called to see when he was coming. He texted back that there was an accident and the glass had shattered. Several texts requesting an update on next steps have been ignored. The worst part (yes, it gets worse) is that he isn't paying his employees. One of them came to my house yesterday and asked what needed to be done. He said that he hadn't been paid for his work, allegedly because I haven't paid LuxTops. i have receipts showing that I have paid in full. I am now looking for someone to install the shower glass. I am working on a complaint to CSLB. I don't know what happened to cause such a radical change in work habits. Sadly, I cannot recommend LuxTops. I encourage you to look elsewhere.
