I had other work to do. Speed forward. I get insurance finally. I go see mr Benedetto. I remember him being nice. They cleaned my teeth and explained id have some out of pocket costs next time to move forward with my all my problems. I understand that. My plan sucks. Great. So I come in this morning at 8am. I ask "what are we doing today" then kelly comes in with a chart and explains how much my coverage sucks and what its not going to cover. So ill have more out of pocket than I anticipated. I explained why I couldnt use my money right now for this. I had planned on no more than $500. I told her that the last visit. She tells me how theyre losing revenue by me waisting their time. So I walked. Then the lady that handles the insurance calls me but didnt think I could hear her lol. She actually said " what does he think this is free? Hello im calling from Mr. debendetos office." Wow! I almost had to laugh. I called back and explained I understand the work costs money. I just wasnt in the situation to spend that much yet. I would have.just when I was ready. This the worst ive been treated in a long time. Im very surprised they treat people like they are stupid all over money.

From the moment I walked through the front door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism from Breanna. The office is updated, clean, and welcoming. My teeth were a mess!! I had a cracked tooth that I neglected for months and that's how I discovered Dr. Bedi. I finally took care of my cracked tooth which ultimately needed a root canal and cap. Besides that, I needed to get multiple fillings. I looked so forward to each and every visit which is rare especially when you have to go to the dentist. The worst part about dental visits for me were always the needles, BUT I can honestly say, I barely felt a pinch! Dr. Bedi always made sure I was nice and numb before starting any procedure! I arrived several minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork, and upon doing so I reviewed two sections on the dental consent form which indicated that I had been explained the details of those procedures. Since I am a new patient, these details had not been explained to me yet, so I informed the front desk employee (female, unfortunately I did not get her name) that I had left those two signatures blank since I hadn't received an explanation from the doctor yet, but if I encounter procedures involving tooth removal or dentures, that I would happily initial those sections at that time. The front desk employee rolled her eyes (I wish I were kidding), and stated "everyone needs to sign the consent form, and if you need those procedures, an additional form would be provided to be signed". I said okay, but I don't feel comfortable signing something that states I have been explained the details of when I had yet to have that done. She cut me off and stated "she was explaining them to me now". After she reviewed the tooth removal section, I then asked her to review the denture section with me. She smirked at me, rolled her eyes again, and said these are required to be signed, and explained somewhat, about dentures. I feel asking for this information to be explained prior to signing a consent form is not a large ask of a new patient. The front desk clerk made me feel as if it were ridiculous for me to be questioning this, and just kept saying how "everyone needs to sign every section". She was crass, unsympathetic, and simply came off as if I was an idiot because I wanted to question a section of the form. While handing the signed form over to her, I pointed out that the section under "periodontal loss" might be a typo because it reads identical to the paragraph listed under "fillings". As she grabbed the paperwork, she smirked at me, once again, and gave me a curt "thanks". At that point I felt uncomfortable and did not feel like this office was a good fit for me. I told her I would be leaving and wanted to take my papers back since they contained my SSN. This point the clerk just kept smiling at me, telling me to "have a nice day", no issue at all with me wanting to leave. I was shocked to have a medical employee treat me that way. I would be appalled if one of my employees treated a customer of mine that way. I am not comfortable seeing a doctor who allows their employees to treat their patients with that type of demeanor. When calling Dr Romeo's office for a F/u appt recently I was informed Dr Grassa had moved to Sayville so I called and made an appt. I saw him recently at Sayville Family Dentistry. My initial interaction with the friendly receptionist was positive. I then saw the hygienist who informed me I may need to return for two deep cleanings, although she had not taken X-rays yet nor had she done my cleaning yet. I was then seen by Dr Grassa who briefly examined me then told me I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and the tooth required removal. Never showed me the tooth in question by using a mirror, never showed me anything on X-rays and never explained why he came to his conclusion. (I had X-rays done 8 months ago and have never had tooth discomfort). He told to see a dental surgeon. No referrals given for a dental surgeon, no documentation given as to why he reached his conclusion but just a very dismissive /disinterested attitude about my dental care as he just walked out of the room. I do not recommend this dentist and I already have an appt. with a new dentist. I should have seen Dr Romeo instead of wasting my time.
