Her office is always clean and she cares about the esthetics. Her staff is always very nice whether in person or on the phone. Dr Helfner is not an alarmist and is very caring. She does what she has to do in order to ensure an optimal outcome. She listens to your concerns and genuinely cares. I trust 100% of what she says in regards to my teeth. 26 years later and she has never steered me wrong. I've met Dr Curro a few times and also the hygienists and I have nothing but good things to say. If you aren't a patient yet, you really should go. Shoutout to Doreen who is always great to talk to. They have pretty good hours that I can make work around my busy schedule; nights and weekends. The parking lot can definitely get pretty packed at times but that would be my only slight issue. Overall, I definitely recommend this practice and Dr Helfner. I felt very safe going there during a pandemic. They took the proper precautions to keep everyone safe.

They had put me in for the wrong date when I'd called to schedule it. But, due to a cancellation, they were able to see me when I came in anyway. The front desk person was not as welcoming as at my regular dentist, and my cleaning was not as thorough. The equipment was old, but at least it was clean. The biggest turn-off was hearing the hygienists and dental assistants gossiping in the hallway outside my exam room--super unprofessional. This was definitely a more ghetto dental office experience than I am used to, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

I had two appointments here, one cleaning, and one filling…read more The cleaning seemed to be very thorough but it was painful and i was not a fan of the technique where the hygenist picks at your gums to see if they bleed. my teeth hurt for weeks after this. there is also a big push to get invisalign here so they will ask you about it no doubt multiple times. their phone message system doesn't seem to be coordinated with their online check in system so even if you provide your health and insurance information beforehand, you will probably still receive texts daily leading up to the appointment telling you that you haven't. As far as the filling procedure itself it was painless and the dentist was very accommodating, however it seems like the office is a little busy at times and they are pushed to cut corners. there were several interruptions while my filling was being done by other staff members inquiring about how much longer it was going to take. In the end it seems like my filling was rushed because it was very rough and protruded to the point that it was pressuring the adjacent tooth and caused sharp pain. I ended up having to get it fixed about a week and a half after while i was on vacation. Overall I would say this is not a bad office but you need to be aware and always advocate for yourself. If something feels wrong, tell them otherwise they will gladly send you off.

I was having some severe molar pain about a month ago, just prior to a family trip I was getting…read moreready to take. I was referred to Dr. Grillo for an evaluation through friends and am ever so grateful for the recommendation. I was a new patient, and experiencing pain over the weekend. Dr. Grillo was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule and took me right away on a Saturday afternoon, nonetheless! After my initial consultation, and describing the pain I was experiencing. He conducted several x-rays to determine cause of pain, although he already had a good idea before even seeing x-ray. The x-ray and Dr. Grillo's expertise, determined that I had an abscess on a molar in which a root canal was previously done. Though, Dr. Grillo is not an Endodontist, he knew exactly the course of treatment I needed to remove the infection and pain. He prescribed antibiotic for several days and advised me to follow up with Endodontist in the area. The antibiotic he prescribed, was literally a miracle drug! Within days, my pain was gone , infection gone and I was Able to go on my family vacation with no pain!!! I didn't follow-up with Endodontist, and now a month later, I am still OK, no recurring pain! I am every so grateful for his knowledge, expertise and professionalism for taking me on the spur of the moment and treating me so accurately! Also, the office is exceptionally clean and staff is so nice and friendly! Everyone was very accommodating and professional! Looking forward to returning again, and I don't often say that about dentist visits! Thank you again Dr. Grillo and staff!
